I’m still in Crete lounging around, nice pool by the way, Bear. We have a hot tub but that been closed all summer as it been too hot, we be opening it back up when we return home next Saturday.

Yeah, I think pools are really more for the kids/grands than the parents/grandparents. I have little interest in one and don't really have space for one unless I sacrificed basically my entire backyard including the deck. But the family next door with three young kids have one of those temporary pools that you can pack away in the off season (again, the property is really too small for a proper one and the original owner sold to get a bigger property a few blocks away for that reason) and the kids are out there constantly when they are home.

Having some fun with my friend Claude. No, not writing a story for me (would never use LLM for that). I'm getting him to build a map of the island that is the setting for a longstanding project of mine. He's doing a not bad job and responds well and quickly when I suggest changes.😊

Lights are on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up and it's Monday.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and Darjeeling teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along a mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is filling the air with her perfume.

Today we're using Lumberjack coffee blend from Muskoka Coffee Roasters, so's we can lumber into the week.

I've put out some S'Mores donuts, and some coffee cake for y'all.

Busy day but I hope to get some writing done in between appointments. 🤞

Well, another Kimmi Kontest kame and went – well done Kimmi!

Yesterday, Jay and I went to Stratford (again – not deliberate, just the way the shows were scheduled) and saw Damon Runyon's Guys and Dolls!

What a performance! What staging! What singing! and especially WHAT DANCING!

OMG it was amazing – and I've seen it several times before.

Donna Feore is not only an astonishing choreographer, but an amazing director as well.

Let's put it this way … she is the only choreographer who has ever been given permission to stage A Chorus Line on a thrust stage with the chorus in something other than a straight line because the writers believed she could make the choreography work – and she did.

It took us most of the day, but that's because we made a day of it, and stayed over. Given that we only live about an hour and bit from Stratford, it became an event.

And speaking of events …

Coffee is Balzac's Dark Affair … natch, because we're where Balzac's started.

Teas are English Breakfast and Yorkshire.

We've got oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and Kimmi's cinnamon buns, as a grateful token of her sponsoring her latest contest.

Hi y'all, hope everyone is well. I don't have a pool but fortunately I'm surrounded by lakes I can swim in although that gets very difficult in January.

I haven't written anything for ages but I do have an impressive collection of completely unrelated sentences. I've also amassed an impressive collection of stitches over the past few weeks, 13 in my shoulder and 40+ on my temple. I keep thinking I'm Gerry Cheevers...lol. Not to worry, the cancer is all gone so a few stiches are pretty minor compared to what others have to deal with. And I have a major crush on a nurse.

Sad news here is Fuzzy1954 was nearing the end of his life. He told us and we got to tell him what he meant to us all. He hasn’t been in for the last several weeks, and we don’t know if he passed.

Yikes, Buzz. Glad you are going okay. Wear those stitches like a flag of victory. And nurses are second only to dental assistants in terms of crushworthiness.

Super sad news about Fuzzy too. I felt a real connection to him. I guess everyone here probably feels that way.
