Holy sheep. If she keeps growing like that, the WNBA will be calling. 😁
New dishwasher is here and ... Mrs. Seeker doesn't like it. 😒
To be fair, the racks in the unit are different from what is in the photos, which is the source of the problem.
30 day return but with a restocking charge.😬

I'd think you could ask them to waive the restocking charge, since the racks differ from the photos. That's a bit like false advertising on their part.
It's a gloomy, rainy day here on the beach. We will probably work on our latest mini-brick building project. The Colosseum. Over 5,000 tiny little bricks. 😳
Mother Nature seems to be doing her best to keep me on the ground. The hot-air balloon ride we had scheduled during our South Dakota trip got canceled because of heavy winds. And today we were supposed to go tandem skydiving, but the rain spoiled those plans. Ah well. Maybe it's a sign?
The Lions have a bye this week, so tomorrow we'll head over to our sports bar hangout and watch the Bucs lose. 🤣
As for grandchildren who have the audacity to keep growing, LW is now 5'10" at 13 years old. (He passed me up when he was 10, so I feel Jay's pain).
I'm gonna grab a cup of tea and do a little reading until lunchtime.
Can't Buy Me Love - He let her slip away once. Could this be a second chance?
Safe In Your Arms - No place I'd rather be.
Take Me Now - A lucky man comes home to his needy wife.
Always Him - A tribute to true love and amazing sex.

Kat, just remember what they say…
"If at first you don't succeed … skydiving's not for you!"
Mother may know best, kiddo!

She had a better idea. The old one is just being hauled away for disposal by the installers so we'll move the bottom rack from that one to the new one, which resolves the biggest concern. Trust her to come up with a solution like that.
Nice weather here but I am a bit meh. Right leg cramped in the middle of the night and I think that kind of messed me up for the rest of the night.

Mine ended up at 6'4" by the time he finished high school. Tallest in my family save, I think, one cousin.

And the hits just keep on coming…
You all know Kimmi's identical twin has MS, right?
She was in for a routine imaging to assess how the disease is progressing, when they found a mass on one of her kidneys.
They believe it's stage 2 or 3 cancer, and that she'll lose the kidney, and it may impair part of the function of the other one.
They don't see any inflammation in the surrounding tissue, so it may not have spread. They won't know for sure until they operate.
Kimmi would like to ask all of us to pray for her and her sister.
She may be gone for a few days. She's trying to let it sink in, and try to hold it together.
Oh, Kim…
😞

I didn't know, but Kimmi sister has certainly got my thoughts and prayers. Thinking of you, Kimmi... ❤️

So, just back from a walk-in clinic. I have a wry neck, which apparently happens every once in a while, and isn't serious.
It's just uncomfortable.
So I'm late with coffee, tea, booze, and goodies. So sue me – and by me, I mean Ping.
Coffee today is Happy Camper from Kicking Horse.
Teas are Yorkshire and Lapsong Souchow.
Donuts are around here somewhere.
And we've got some cute little sugar cookies.
And EVERYONE says a prayer for Kimmi & her sister, or I'll start collecting bar tabs, see?

Moan-Day morning… again.
So, one of my favourite lines from the cartoon strip, SHOE:
"Here's a productivity tip: When your alarm goes off first thing in the morning, take a revolver from your bedside drawer, and shoot your clock!"
Caffeine this morning is cold – Cuba Libres – and café lattes, plus donuts and éclairs.
Teas are English Breakfast and Yorkshire regular.
And to one of our favourite lurkers out there – enjoy(!?) your first day of jury duty!
And to everyone – take care out there, 'K?
7 days to municipal elections on Ontario.

Good morning, happy campers! And the rest of you, too.
Coffee this morning is Grizzly Claw from Kicking Horse.
Teas are Irish Breakfast, and Yorkshire
Donuts on the counter, and some cannoli filled with whipped cream and chocolate drops
And… I'll put a quarter in the Würtliitzer and play
Santan Dave and Tams … Rainfall …
Supposed to be sunny and reasonably warm for this time of year, so … no rainfall here!
Take care out there, 'K

Excellent on getting the work approval, Kimmi. Not surprised you are having trouble sleeping. I think most of us would in your circumstances. At least you're trying to use the time ... productively? 😋
Having a really nice week here. Sunny, not too cool. This is a Fall I can handle. Alas, the time between getting home from work and sunset is shrinking rapidly so my walks might have to start being confined to weekends and work from home days.
And another day, another band saying farewell to their vocalist. Dutch band Delain started 20 years ago with a then-teenaged Charlotte Wessels as vocalist. Charlotte moved on to a solo career c. 2021 (and is absolutely killing it these days) and Diana Leah stepped in as a capable successor. Now Diana is on her way out. The band's plan for their next album is interesting: No lead vocalist, just a bunch of guest vocalists, many of them well-known metal singers who have guested with the band before.
First up, with Diana, from her debut (and only) album:
And then going further back, with (swoon) Charlotte:

Although I waited an hour past my appointment time, I DID get to see the dentist today. Apparently, I have decay under one crown, and I probably need a root canal under the other. I go back next Tuesday for a lovely 3-hour appointment that will end up costing me a small fortune, since I've already used all my dental benefits this year. Since I need to take both Motrin and Tylenol every 4-6 hours to keep the pain at bay, I really can't afford to wait. Sighs...
But on the bright side, we are going to Disney Fri-Mon with my youngest and her husband, and I'm so excited to spend time with them. It will be a great way to take my mind off my teeth.
I'd have a drink, but I think I'd better stick to Coke Zero.

Big ugh on the teeth. Sounds both nasty and expensive. Take care. At least you're getting some time with family in a fun place.
I keep going dark places in my stories which is a sure sign I am in one myself. Poor Brenda, my one protagonist, has been getting a rough ride as I keep finding ways to make her miserable. None of that will likely make it into the story in the end. I usually wise up and nerf it when this happens.
