I am still suffering from my sciatica. I did get to see the physio last week, only to be told that I need an X-ray. That is something that I asked for 6 months ago; I was told then I needed to first see a physio. Anyway, I'm hoping for some action now rather than a wait-and-see. 🤣

Yesterday, we spent our time with our twin grandchildren, who are now coming up to a month old. Though still very young babies, we can already tell that they don't look like each other: the slightly younger one (3 mins) looks like his dad, while the older one (who's been named after me – middle name) looks like me! Poor thing! 😈

Today I'm going to lay out a comp story; I just hope that I get time to write it as I'm off on holiday in November. 😎

Awww, twin time! Glad you can tell them apart. We were easy at first because mine came out a pound heavier than me. She was a nutrient hog in the womb.

Wishing everyone good health! Never give up on a mission to get well. I don't want to jinx myself but I woke up with less sinus junk going on today. Knock on wood. I shall keep you all posted.

We enjoyed seeing Alice Cooper last night. He's an amazing performer who defies Mother Nature. At 78 he has more energy than most people I know.

Sorry I'm late, kids, but Lady Jay and I had to figure out what plays we want to see next year at Stratford, Ontario and order the tickets.

That's a big deal. We spend about a grand on theatre tickets during the season, and want to get specific seats that we prefer, and the best seats go quickly, so when the box office opens for the 2027 season (which it did this morning) we rush to order – along with thousands of other people.

And with one exception, we got the seats we wanted. And the one show we missed it for, we got the same seats three rows back – still great!

So, to celebrate, let's get a show tune going…

Good morning. Quiet in here today. I put on whatever coffee I could find and made a pot of Yorkshire Gold tea.

Having a blah day but somehow am managing to not give into the temptation to head home for some sick time. I am toying with a comp idea but progress is slow. Maybe on the weekend.

And it's Fright-Day! Has everyone got their costumes for Hallowe'en?

Now, coffee today is Folgers, just to keep things simple.

And we're getting towards the end of the month, so – Trick or Treat! Time to pony up some dough, and I don't mean pastry dough!

My Halloween costume is a bat. So, while I am sure my sonar is good enough for my pint of beer or, at the moment, a cup of Yorkshire tea. I don't think it's up to finding tabs, and certainly not reading or paying them. 🤣😈

Good evening. Funny story of the day. The manager of my help desk team was on the road the past two days. We had a costume day at work (I didn't dress up myself) so his team dressed a dummy as Ghostface from Scream (one of their costumes) and put it in his office. He got back after dark and didn't turn the office lights on. 🤣

Don't be like me and assume porch pirates are a myth. They're real and they're out there waiting.
