One of my favorite party cocktails I mix a batch in a drink cooler...

Sex on the Beach

This is a popular Sex on the Beach and what is most likely the original. Popular substitutes include using pineapple for the orange, or Midori & Chambord instead of schnapps.

Scale ingredients to servings
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz peach schnapps
2 oz cranberry juice
2 oz orange juice

Add vodka and peach schnapps to a highball glass over ice. Fill with equal measures of cranberry juice and orange juice, and stir.

Now this is a on or two shot drink ... I mixed this cocktail up in the 80s, and yes it has a kick

1 part Black Jack
1 part Old Grandfathers
1 part Russian Vodka or Everclear or Moonshine
1 part Wild Turkey

It is what I gave the name of Suicide, but it really isn't painless
1 part Gin
2 parts pineapple juice
and a splash of chambord

shake it up with ice and pour into a martini glass.

They are so good. They are great for parties. Everyone will be wasted by the end of they night.
Velocity (its a drink i came up with)

Ratio - 1 Gin:1 Gatorade:1 Sprite

Mix everything thing add ice and enjoy.
Now I have not personally tried this yet key word being yet but it sounds good and I don't much care for iced coffee.

Iced Coffee - 64 ounce batch:

brew double strength coffee by either doubling the grounds, or if your basket doesn't have the capacity, use half the water and all the grounds you'd normally use for a full pot.
I like Seattle's Best, but any good stuff will do - make it bloody strong!

Turn off the burner as soon as it's done, and allow it to cool.

In a 64oz. container add about 1/2 cup of DaVinci's Italian Soda Syrup to taste. Sugar-free Vanilla is good, the rest of the sugar-free stuff ain't so tasty imho. Add sugar or Splenda or whatever sweetener you like to taste if desired.
Add the cooled coffee, you should have the container a little over half to about 2/3 full at this point.

Fill with cream (Half and Half - nearly a quart), shake well, refrigerate overnight or until quite cold and serve over ice.

Delicious!

Warning #1 - Go Easy! The problem with iced coffee is that it is damned easy to drink, and if you don't have a really high tolerance for coffee en masse this stuff will zing yer ass right up a wall!

Warning #2 - Spiking it up! Vodka is nice, if you like White Russians or Kahlua and cream, you will love a shot mixed in. Try _one_ small glass!

I made up a batch last summer with about 2/3 a cup of Everclear to the 64 oz. bottle, and I gotta say, I don't recommend that. The coffee is really easy to drink, and even that much everclear is pretty freakin' hardcore. If you like tasteless and powerful, stick to Vodka, or add the everclear by the wee teaspoon to your glass
My dear friend had me over for martinis last summer .... and my goodness, these were AMAZING!! He made me stop at my 4th one! lol

Fresh Mint Martini

Combine 4 or 5 mint leaves
1 tablespoon lime juice and
1 teaspoon sugar (icing sugar works well ... or just regular sugar) in a shaker and crush with a muddler or spoon.

Add 3 ounces vodka and fill with ice.
Cover and shake, then strain through a sieve into a chilled martini glass.

Enjoy!

Last year I was at this uber-trendy restaurant, and fell madly in love with their modern take on sangria. I convinced their mixologist to share their secret recipe... It's absolutely delicious, much more refined than the usual 'fruit-salad-type' sangria recipes, and it's perfectly refreshing for the summer months.

Modern White Sangria

Mix the following into a pitcher:

Dry White Wine (full bottle)

Cointreau (1 ounce)

Pear Vodka (2-3 ounce)

Soda Water

Fresh berries (blueberries and raspberries)

Fresh torn mint

In terms of exact measuring, you can add more or less of any of the above to please your own taste palate.

Over the weekend, I found myself with a half a bottle of Cruzan rum, some Mojito mix, and some Coke, but I couldn't decide if I wanted a Mojito or a Rum and Coke. I took a 14 ounce glass, filled it half full with cubed ice, and poured about an inch and a half of rum into it. Then I poured in a couple inches of Mojito mix, and topped it off with Coke. It was delicious!

I just can't decide if I want to call it a Coke-jito, or a MoCoco...
50% cheap red wine
50% coca cola or some other brand.

Sometimes you need to up the taste of the coke with some wine to be able to drink it. ;)
