I'm the Skald of my pagan Circle, a combination of Historian and Tale Spinner. I record the history and shared rituals of the Circle so out of many different beliefs we can weave a shared vision we can all be part of equally. The Twisted part well, some of the things I've done freely in this life and started writing about. I couldn't be anything else.

Jackstay search pattern
An underwater jackstay search is a procedure conducted by divers swimming along a search line - the jackstay. There are a number of variants. AND...I am constantly searching.

As it says in my profile, I've written almost exclusively non-fiction.
A while back I was working for an institutional investor on Wall Street, but freelancing for a major financial publication. My institution frowned on its employees doing such things (partly because my views might not agree with theirs, and partly because they didn't want us to make money anywhere else), I had to write under a pseudonym.
My editor came up with James Llewellyn Gainsborough, and I liked the sound a lot, kind of like a marching band. So when I was casting about for a name for my avatar, I came up with JLG.
Side note: One of my dearest friends, and one of longest standing, has initials that are JLG, but that is purely a happy accident.
All in, I find that I like being James. It's the right balance between familiarity and formality.

My kid sister has called me Beffer almost since she could first talk. Then a few years ago, a Dutch friend told me that beffer in Dutch meant pussy-licker. It seemed so appropriate I changed my screen name here to my nickname.
I forget where it started but I have been using some version of my name for years. I go by Hugz elsewhere online.

The II comes from the face that this is either my 2nd or 3rd Lush account in the 8+ years I've been on and I used MrHugz4Fuckz before so this is the IInd version
