This topic really does fascinate me - like Ted Hughes - how did he attract TWO women who BOTH killed themselves? One of my friend's grandfathers was married to two women who both killed themselves (or tried, I forget) also. HOW does that happen? I guess it says something about both the attractor and the attracted, and it clearly happens on a smaller scale, as well, such as people who continually wind up with abusive partners or alcoholics, but incidences like the suicides are so extreme that they make me wish I understood better.
