It's just $2 a ticket to play the Powerball Lottery. It rolled over Saturday night from 940 million dollars and is up to 1.4 billion dollars now. Of course your chance of winning is almost nothing, but somebody somewhere will win. If you choose a lump sum payout that will cut it to less than half, then add in federal & state taxes, but you'd still be stinking rich.
The lottery proceeds in my state go to public education and funds the Hope Scholarship. Every in state resident Georgia college student can have the Hope Scholarship as long as they maintain a B average. Drop below a B and goodbye scholarship.
So are you buying a ticket for next drawing on Wednesday?
I definitely will be playing the powerball.
Yeah. I don't usually. The odds are ridiculous, but with a billion 4 on the table, well why not take the chance. Sooner or later, someone is going to win
Hubbie and I will be getting a few tickets tomorrow.

Of course...why not. You have to be in it to win it...

The Lottery is nothing but another tax for the naive.
It's up to 1,500,000,000. If the line is not too long we will be getting a few quick picks.

I played, but didn't win. I played five games and only matched two numbers on one game and one number on another game. Of course, the odds were against me but you never know. Like I've always heard: Even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while.
I played and obviously I didn't win.
I'd be sunning my fanny on some warm beach somewhere if I had won.
