I'm sorry about what happened to your friend, and I do believe racism towards Asians is rising. But nevertheless, your response here really is an overreaction. It was clear that Jack was not speaking about Chinese people in general

I didn't say it was. I was asking him to specify the people because the language he chose leads to further racism. Go back, and look at the posts. Did I accuse him of racism? I simply asked him to specify who he was talking about to avoid a line that has been used for systematic racism in the US since its inception.

The utter defiance against even thinking about it and the internalized accusation of racism do make me believe he is racist now though.

I think the pushback against my statement is an overreaction. Why is it so important to use blanket statements against 'the Chinese'. And since it still hasn't been acknowledged, the Epoch Times is not owned or affiliated with China in any way, but an ousted group of religious extremists banned from China. It's a large multinational organization that pushes hate speech, misogyny and anti-LGBTQ agendas. They are not allowed to operate in or out of China, and most members are not Chinese anymore.

You saw something on the internet, got triggered, and made it more about you than the issue you’re fighting for…or whatever it is you think you’re doing right now. Now you’re using the blanket statement of racism to describe someone because your emotional blinders are keeping you from seeing beyond your own purview. If it means so much to you, start a separate thread that’ll do this topic more justice than a thread that exists to mock the hypocrisy of conservatives.

In the meantime, quit lashing out at people because you’re choosing to make your friend’s hate crime about you. Please and thanks.

Feels like I'm not the one triggered here, but OK.

And I'm sorry for pointing out how I have personally been touched by the increased anti-Asian racism when I'm explaining why this was important to me. I can see it's only weakened my argument and made it an avenue to ignore what I'm saying.

If you're not saying he was "speaking about Chinese people in general", then it's unclear to me what "Why is it so important to use blanket statements against 'the Chinese'" is referring to then, as apparently he didn't. Nor did anyone else here I believe.

He’s just mad because I was mean to progressives protest voting for a third party.

Do you not understand the cognitive dissonance of “I have been personally victimized by Asian racism…vicariously…through a friend…”?

I’d be pissed if I were your friend who’d experienced such a horrendous trauma only to have my friend center themselves in it, and furthermore use it as a misplaced gotcha moment in a think tank on a fuck site. It’s one of the shittiest forms of virtue signaling there is, and your friend deserves better than you bastardizing his trauma this way. Fucking gross. So if I am triggered, it’s in that regard.

Get a grip. Start another thread. This conversation is done here. I won’t give this directive again.

What a stupid asshole

The people gloating on social media every time people made fun of this tanking ass stock was hilarious. They would all claim “You don’t know what you’re talking about. With the price drop, I’m gonna buy even more and sell it when raises again.”

I'm kind of surprised that DJT stock is not being investigated already for stock fraud. The share price is completely untethered from reality. I'm very curious to see how much cash the doofus gets to pocket before the stock is delisted.

LOL, even after Partygate the guy still thinks that the/his rules don't apply to him.

If we investigated every company who’s share price isn’t tethered to reality the entire stock market would collapse… so let’s do that!

Hoping for the entire stock market to crash is so idiotic. Maybe you should look up who got rich and who got fucked over when the stock market collapsed in 1929.

Well, 90% of all stock is owned by the richest 10%. The other 10% is owned by the richest 50-90 percentile.

So I know who would get fucked now. Also I only bank with federally insured credit unions so my money is protected.

So, the rich will lose their shirts and the poor are relatively safe as those federal insurances cap out after about 200k per account. So the stock market crashing will most dramatically impact the richest people who’s entire fortune is kept in the tax have that is the stock market. And since it’s overvalued anyway we’ll succeed in wealth distribution pretty much immediately.

The richest people on the planet can afford to hold during a crash, dummy. They actually buy up more when the price is low and get richer once the market corrects.

Look at what happened in 2020...

Wealth distribution? You really don't understand what the stock market is do you? Do you think a dollars worth of devaluation will now be redistributed to the poor? lol explain yourself

Markets dropped 53-56% in the 2007-2009 crash. Even a modestly well off investor like me can survive that if they take a hold position as Felix suggests. Selling is actually what hurts you because it converts your paper loss into a real one. I would feel it, but I would be fine in the long haul. Guys like Gates and Musk might just have to put off an acquisition or two for a few years. They'd still be incredibly wealthy. The people who get burned in a crash are people with modest means who threw their limited savings into a bull market without really understanding the implications of that bull market ending. People who understand markets or have advisors who do, which is most of not all of the Fortune listed billionaires and lot of people in the tier below that, will have strategies to deal with a crash.

You’re under the impression that the stocks crash and then it’s business as usual after a few months. It’s a failed economy that holds no base in the reality of company performance.

The stock market needs to go away. When I say it crashes, it should not come back.

Well... thank you for that moronic thought. 👍
