You haven't really read everything in that debt ceiling bill - where the debt ceiling isn't even the most important aspect of EACH of the Republicans demands WHICH NEED TO BE MET - before the Republicans will authorize a 1.5 increase. Sure, Biden could agree with the GQP, sign this proposed bill and help the Republican Party win every single major issue they've stated as their end goals for 2023. Which put the majority of Americans at peril of the GQP minority.

I don't recall the Democrat majority House acting in this manner before approving each of the Debt Ceiling raises for Donald Trump's administration, and there were 3 of those instances.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

It's interesting that the debt ceiling is looked at as a failure of one particular party/political affiliation. Both Republicans and Democrats in power managed to run up $31 in debt to line their pockets, and want American citizens to pay for it.
