Poor Shaman....lol I hope you remember when you promised me that massage!

I remember when I could go to the movies...a double feature for 95 cents.
I remember our first TV. It was a 1950 Majestic and I was 8 years old. There was 2 stations in Grand Island, New York. One in Buffallo and one in London, Canada. My step father was head inspector at Bell Aircraft and he had to install special antenna to get the London station.

I remember our telephone number from 1948 on Grand Island. It was BR(ridge)3063. That was because it was only for the island.

I remember watching Goegeous George wrestle, the Howdy Doody show, I met Buffallo Bob several times. His nephew lived across the street from me and he'd bring Howdy and others to parties. I met John Glen because he was at the Bell plant when I went there with my step father. I got to ride an early jet aircraft ejection seat there too.

God, I am an old fart.

I remember when my first real girl friend and I fell in love. We did so many beautiful things together. The memory is still sweet and I still love her more than anyone I've loved since. That's what I remember. smile

I remember when petrol was 4/6d a GALLON. That's four shillings and sixpence old money, 22.5 pence today. My first car cost me £100 second (or even third or fourth) hand. Mind you, my wages were about £20 per week. One of the biggest cons was pricing petrol in litres instead of gallons. It comes out at pretty near £6 per gallon now!
when conversations where actually made in person, by phone or by posting a letter not text message
...when I got my first Dansette record player that could play TEN single vinyls at once! Awesome!
