You went solo on the cruise? Glad you were able to find some company on the ship... though that was pretty bold of him if in recent years as the cruise lines can be pretty strict on fraternization with cruise passengers I hear.

I haven't really tried surfing in any big way though did try in a sense by standing on boogie boards when I was a kid but of course always fell off. I love being in the water and waves though and would probably enjoy surfing.
