Exactly how does the Novel genre work? are all chapters entered under that genre? a minimum amount of words? For example, my Mira series, Part One, was published as hardcore. Could the series still be a novel? I want to do something in each category
If it were up to me, the 'novel' category would set the 10k word limit as a minimum rather than a maximum, and it would be reserved for authors who tend to write much longer pieces. As it is, the purpose and function of the category is a bit ambiguous.
