Firstly let me say I love this site.
Secondly, I really need help. Please don't see this a me bashing the mods or the site but I am loosing my will write and publish on here. I know the mods are here to ensure that only good quality work is published and they give up their personal time to read our work but there is NO set consensus when it comes to moderating. Whats is alright for one mod doesn't seem to be for the next and as my luck turns out, I get a different mod each time with their own set of what they think/like and all my effort to edit is wasted.
I have been told the following to get my story published across multiple rejections.
Your paragraphs are too short
You need to change 5 to FIVE etc
You go between past/present tense (yes, I know I do that, been working to fix it)
THEN your paragraphs are too long
You should say something like THIS not THAT - sorry but its my story and that's how I want it to go.
Punctuations etc etc etc
All constructive crits I know and agree with but then I go read a few stories and everything I have been rejected for can found across dozens of stories and in come cases, multiple issues in the same story. How is that possible?
I literally feel 110% unmotivated to even try submit again.
Can someone please help me?
