I like to compare pizza places, so I almost always get plain cheese. I'm lucky to be located near a bunch of non-chains.

I think its interesting to know how we are perceived here at Lush as compared to our real lives.

Me, I wrote: I'm no good at self-analysis and even worse at coming up with insight on the opinions others may have about me.

Maybe the best clue to what others think about me came on another site where someone wrote: We love him like an old dog curled up in a corner and farting in his sleep.

"We love him like an old dog curled up in a corner and farting him his sleep."

I think I might want that written on my tombstone.
I just watched Atomic Blonde not long ago, so I'm feeling Charlize Theron these days. It had a lesbian scene that was both unexpected and hot.

Also Sprite....

There are already two thumbs up emoticons:

But... but... but... then, you have to manually count them!

It's nice to see Rump's name on here more than once when it comes to critiquing. He's a master at it. I've also been helped by CurvyGalore (most recently!), Layla, MollyDoll, Ravenstar, Shannon3K, a few others.

I agree that the site is not designed to encourage critiques and extensive rewrites. The mods make sure spelling and grammar and basic story-telling are correct. Most people just want to hear good things about their writing, and there is nothing wrong with that. I would rather not score than give anyone under a 5. And while I try to critique most stories I read, I stick to the things in a story that work the best and try to point them out.

If you want a critique with constructive criticism, you might need to reach out and ask (that's what I do, though not often, as I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to my writing). Someone you know and trust, someone whose writing you enjoy.

Agreed about Rumpleforeskin. This is one person with a SHARP insight to storytelling.
I am far, far better at critiquing than editing. I read right over mistakes, but pacing, structure, characters, consistency... those I'm good at.

I was part of a small writing group that absolutely ripped writing to pieces. It made the writing better but that approach isn't for everyone and especially not for new writers.

Interesting. Many ladies tend to like their guys dressed like that possibly with a tailored jacket as well . I do go out like that .

Many guys ,I know, however prefer to go out in jeans and a baggy T Shirt. I know plenty of this type to be forever single and I wonder why ?!

Hey, I like yoga pants and a baggy T-shirt. But I only wear them around the house, because I'm mindful of the impression I'm giving, even when I go to the store.

I've been struggling with depression this year. Trying to look attractive helps. My mantra has become: Make it look like you knew you would be leaving the house today.
Also, may I just say that I'm still with drugstore brands for my lips. For some reason I never go too wrong with CoverGirl.

My current favorite are the stains:

It's probably a little much to suggest that they last "all day". They do last through eating breakfast and the morning. I have to touch up after lunch.

what were his reasons for leaving here? People are posting something about the former category...

I think he was concerned with having his real life associated with an erotica site altogether. His profession would have been sensitive to it. I believe the Fantasies category just made the decision for him.

He could do the most porn-tastic writing style. It wasn't all written that way but always made me smile. If all of his Kristina series is on the other site, it's worth a read.
I've talked with him, too. I'm sad he's not here.

Definitely his writing on that site.
Hats. The more the better. Last gentleman I vacationed with brought over 30 hats for 7 days.

(Kidding.... Personally, I lilke guys that look businesslike. If they're wearing jeans, I like it with a collared shirt. I also like it when men wear watches.)

I doubt anybody has much of a perception of me either way. I quite like it like that.

The power of an avatar. Whenever I think of you, I think of Uma Thurman saying, "I'll be there in two shakes of a lamb's tail. "

The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb is everything. I bought it when it came out last fall because... neutral/rose-gold glosses are my jam, but I didn't expect to love it (and use it) as much as I have.

I'm also going on my second tube of Marc Jacob's gloss in French Tickler. His glosses are legit fantastic (also, best/silkiest applicator ever).

My fave (recent) eye palettes are:
- the Anastasia Soft Glam palette as well as Modern Renaissance - super buttery and pigmented. Probably the nicest quality palettes I've ever used.
- Too Faced Peachy Mattes (I love my mattes)
- getting back into my Urban Decay Naked Heat, which I really enjoyed last summer
- I recently splurged on the Marc Jacob 'Fantascene' palette from the Coconut Fantasies collection. I love the Dew Drops Highlighter (last year's shade, the newer rose gold one is too dark for my skin tone), the coconut bronzer he brought back to add to this this collection is gorgeous.

Blush - These days, I'm keeping it pretty subtle with Benefit's Gold Rush, sometimes mixed with a touch of Milani's Luminoso. I'm also back into Bobbi Brown's bronzing/blush in Antigua which is a really natural tawny pink and so easy to wear.

Tatcha Skin Mist - finally tried it after being very reluctant because I wanted to believe it was just over-hyped, but it's actually really good. I'm trying to use it sparingly because it's so spendy for what it is.

Also - fave new'ish product - Charlotte Tilbury's Unisex Healthy Glow. Literally gives you filter skin with a tiny touch of colour/glow, though the product comes out white and almost slightly grainy (it contains little spheres of colour). It's sooo good. Especially for no-makeup days and summertime when you don't want to wear foundation or deal with matching up subtle changes in skin colour with your usual products. This would work on guys too, if you're into that kind of thing.

I struggle with blush because I'm very fair. I really like my newest, which is Hourglass Ambient Lighting. It's pricey, but hard to over-apply.

I've always been partial to the bit-gag, myself.

I like the ball and spider gags, but I can't tolerate them as long. The last one makes me nervous, which probably means it would be a lot of fun.

I think most of those really are horror. But Jaws and Aliens are not IMHO. Jaws is really a dramatic thriller, almost a modern day Moby Dick in some ways. Aliens is a military s-f thriller that owes as much to stuff like Starship Troopers (the Heinlein novel, not the movie which came long after Aliens) as anything horror, though Alien (the first one) is definitely sf-horror in my book.

I'll give you Alien.... maybe because I saw it after Aliens that it didn't scare me as much. Silence of the Lambs? To me that's a crime thriller.
I liked The Ring a lot when it comes to modern movies.

There's a 2016 movie called "The Witch" that was just creepy AND interesting. I liked "Sinister" too.

When I was little, and begged to watch movies that I shouldn't have, The Exorcist and Cujo gave me nightmares.

There are many, many horror movies that I love, but like Buz, don't consider them horror. Jaws, An American Werewolf in London, Alien and Aliens, The Cabin in the Woods, the Others, The Silence of the Lambs, and Poltergeist come to mind.

Make-up? No thanks. I go without and get an extra 20 mins in bed

I'm at the point where if I don't wear make-up, people think I'm sick.
My newest eye-shadow love:

It's Tarte, Be a Mermaid. The case is iridescent and cushioned. It smells heavenly. And the colors are bright and gorgeous. My favorite right now is "Bubbles" which is a burnt brown but shimmers green. I didn't think any of the cool shades would work for my hazel eyes (It looked green in the palate), but so far, I haven't found a bad color.
Oh, I liked this most recent non-shard!

They explore exhibitionism, but unlike most erotica, everything and anything isn't a turn-on.
You can have both story build-up and sex right away. I do this a lot, because I like a long, slow burn but I know that it can be irritating to a reader.

Just show sex that isn't happening between your two protagonists. I think I used this in Ty's Girl and Night Music.

I'm so sorry to hear this. All the love in the world to Milik and Simmerdownchick.
