Remember, either one or two spaces between sentences is acceptable as long as it is consistent.

If you're having a problem editing the two spaces between paragraphs and would prefer that be just one paragraph, as is standard for non-indented paragraphing, then notify the story mods.

Personally, if I catch a story in the verification queue that is double-spaced between paragraphs, I always fix that to single spacing.

Classic Rock:

Love the classic rock shirts. My wife gave me a couple of dozen or more classic rock t-shirts one year for Christmas. That's my normal weekend attire with shorts and a baseball cap.

This is my hand-painted Indian ponies t-shirt...

I was hoping for a wet t-shirt photo from you, Bethany. But I really do like the shirt. I love the primitive cave or rock painting style of the horses. Did you paint those yourself?

Ulysses S. Grant, Winston Churchill, and numerous others have somehow pulled glory and fame out of the bottom a bottle of gin, to the benefit of the world.

Especially Churchill.

Ulysses Grant once passed out drunk at the podium while giving a speech when he was president. Can you imagine what the media today would've done with that? He'd have been great material for Saturday Night Live. Plus his administration was consistently one of the most scandalous in US history. But he was enormously popular with voters and had a pretty good sense of humor.

One of his famous quotes:

"I know only two tunes: one of them is 'Yankee Doodle', and the other one isn't."

– U. S. Grant
We don't have a requirement for verification on one space or two spaces after a period. We just require you be consistent.

I am sure a lot of older authors will still use the 2 spaces, as that is how they were taught in school. If you'll check online resources they do promote the one space now because computers and typefonts now do not need the extra space.

You will often find a very entertaining debate in the comments section. Many older people do not like the single spacing and complain that very thin or squeezed fonts have thinner periods and they find double spacing easier to read because of that. Most people, like myself, who graduated high school and university in the latter 1990s and 2000s prefer the single space, as that is what we're used to.

Here on Lushstories we only want you to be consistent with that. If you get your grammar right, write within the rules, and use 2 spaces after a period and like doing it that way, we're not going to turn it down.

Seeker, Reg, and Verbal...sounds like the law firm from hell.

Yeah, I saw their ads on late night TV. They were dressed as The Three Amigos and did that little dance. Verbal has some good news but Reg and Seeker, well... ugh!

How about some Dos Equis and tequila shooters?

I tried a north Georgia honeying last night, but I shaved first.

Was a 'Bear' involved?

My wife recently had the Brazilian sugaring done. She said it was much less painful and invasive than waxing. I haven't tried it yet but probably will. Waxing is never fun just something done but better than shaving.
For me, I have great praise for commercial aspirations pulled off very successfully.

I had seen bits of The Godfather on TV before reading the book but not enough to grasp that much. I read the book and loved it. Soon after I wanted to see the entire Godfather epic. I really thought they did a superior job with the original first two Godfather movies.

Sure some great aspects of the book got left out but that is to be expected or the movie which was already very long would've been too long. I'd of course, still rate the book as better but give the highest marks possible for the movie.

I read Stand By me after seeing the movie in its entirety. The movie was really good but the old adage, the book is better is true for sure.

I've seen other movies made from books I've read but I haven't seen a movie that I could rate as better than the book.
Thomas Jefferson was never impeached. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached by the US House of Representatives (which is an indictment) but both impeachments failed in the US Senate.

Clearly the USA and the USSR were big winners of WWII. The USA reaped great economic rewards. The Big Three, Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin did carve Europe up between the victors. Self determination and economic growth resulted for western Europe while subjugation under the Soviet Union for eastern Europe.

The Cold War resulted for decades. Eventually the Soviet Union could not keep up economically as it had previously existed and failed. However, the Cold War is not truly over. But at least eastern Europe is out from under the Russian yoke.

Russia though, is still a power and developing its economics with a mix of almost wild west capitalism and old style socialism. Russia probably has by far the biggest down deep seeded sense of nationalism of any European power. With its vast resources, Russia could eventually be even more powerful than the old Soviet Union.

Germany is reunited and Japan is an economic success.

And Fascism seems to be on the rise.

Big social changes are happening in the USA. Trump is the last hurrah of the past. Expect the future USA to be less willing to act as a world police force. Demographics of the GOP and Trump voters is on the fast decline.

Will Europe have the fortitude to keep the future Russian super power in check? And how will China play into all this?

Hi all! I am so excited I have tickets this summer to see Mastodon/Eagles of Death Metal, Seether, AFI and Megadeth . I wondered if anyone else liked to go to concerts. There are more I would like to see this year but it gets costly lol

What!? No Barry Manilow.

That's your assumption (concerning your god), but there's no evidence that supports that assumption.

That's your assumption.

Take it to The Think Tank, let's allow the spirit of this Pub thread to stay on subject.
Cajun spice marinated Ribeye steak, medium rare, with baked potato and a side salad. And a couple of cold beers.
How about a round of icy cold beers in frosty mugs?

Yeah, I am all in.
Talking about the soul, y'all might enjoy my 'The Devil's Harem' series. It is still not finished but there are three stories completed so far. It is not a part one, part two type series, so you can jump in with any story. If interested, catch them on my bio page.

I have visited the voodoo lady before but did not strike up a bargain of any kind. She said not to come back and I will oblige.

My soul is not for sale. I've already made my arrangements.

You got me there: I don't do the research myself, but I believe in the scientific method. It's not without error, but has proven itself as being the best method we've got, by far, to gain knowledge and seek truth (or a representation of truth that we can understand).
There are many examples where science proved religion wrong. Can you give examples to the contrary? Has religion, any religion, ever proved science wrong?

Religion is just an organization of people. God is something else. If there is God then science and physics will prove to be God's invention and tool. In that case, you'll never know, at least in this lifetime.
Faith is one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. Science gives me tools to achieve things in life.
I'm fine with Leonardo playing Jack the Ripper. To me, he's really grown as an actor and mostly killed off that pretty boy image from the *Titanic days. I thought he was great in The Departed and The Revenant. Now if Tom Cruise played the part, I'd skip the movie altogether.

*By far the best part of Titanic was the end, the special effects of the ship sinking. Other than that it was a real snoozer.

As long as the different faiths make truth claims those are definitely science's business.

Do you do the scientific experiments and research yourself? If not, you're going only in what you're told, right?

Or I should say you're going souly on what you're told, right? Or is that solely? Hell, I'm dyslexic.
Yes, right now, while online, my pecker is a double-decker.
