If a Followers badge were created I'd suggest an accomplishment of 200 or maybe as much as 300. That would be an ambitious and excellent number without being crushing. 500 seems over the top and near impossible for male members.
200, 250, 300 seems outstanding to me.
Or even a follower level badge. Black for 100, red for 300, gold for 500 or more. Something attainable and honorable for more authors that would inspire them rather than crush or dissapoint their spirit, with the possibility of moving up levels as goals.
I barely remember John Rocker. He didn't last long. Isn't he a Trump speechwriter now?
My favorite Brave was John Smoltz, and was a big Chipper Jones fan. Got real tired of watching Andruw Jones constantly striking out looking in the clutch. I guess Andruw was always thinking of the free stripper sex the Mafia owners at The Gold Club kept offering in the VIP rooms.
Was in Augusta Sunday for the final day of The Masters. The weather was perfect. What a great finish and win for Garcia. Damn, do I love going to The Masters. Last year I got to attend 3 days.
Y'all may have noticed the lack of azalea blooms. A very warm late winter led to early azalea blooming then a late 3 day freeze killed off the blooms. Only 3 out of my own 2 dozen or so azaleas in my yard are in bloom. Miss that combo with the Dogwoods blooming.
How many of you are golfers? My wife and I both play. She complains that I play too aggresively and that's why my scores vary wildly.
I'd love to down several Long Island Teas. Anyone up for a drink?
We have had some serious thunderstorms, heavy downpours and hail tonight. Plus there was an earthquake, southeast of the metro.
I'm having a bourbon on ice, then I think I'll have a nice chilled glass of cabernet sauvignon and go to bed.
Y'all have a good one.
Don't y'all like his skill at doing motorcycle wheelies?
The Yankees once beat the Pirates 4 games to 3 to win the World Series. Yanks won all 4 games by 1 run. The Pirates outscored the Yanks by well over 20 runs in the 3 they won. Baseball, it'll break your heart.
My Atlanta Braves have lost several World Series in which they outscored the opponents. Yep, baseball, it'll break your heart. But hell, I keep coming back for more.
Oh, as a kid I did see the '95 World Series Game Six when the Braves clinched the title against the Cleveland Indians. Braves won 1-0 and took the Series 4 games to 2. I was with my dad and granddad and I was wearing a Braves jersey and cap. That left me addicted for life. Go Braves!
Jack the Ripper was British though. That was in London. Though we have plenty of American serial killers to choose from. Yeah, from H. H. Holmes to Ted Bundy, to Jeffery Dalmer to who knows. The FBI says there are usually around 40 serial killers operating around the country at any given time.
It's baseball for sure! My Braves have a brand new stadium. They didn't need a new stadium. The other one was about to turn 20, yep just 20 years old. But in the Atlanta area nothing is left standing to get old. They tear it down and build new. Must've been a concept that started with the city being burned down by Gen. Sherman, that pyromaniac. You know, it was a very new city when that happened.
Now the Braves are located in the Burbs with a view of the city behind it. The Falcons have a new stadium too and it is still having the kinks worked out. It opens and closes. That's what they're fixing right now.
And we're having the road fixed too. Yep, Interstate 85 had an overpass collapse. Seems some crack smoking idiots started a fire underneath on some construction materials. The fire got really big and the heat collapsed an entire section of the interstate onto another main road. Plus, why the hell was a bunch of flammable construction material stored underneath a major interstate highway?
I haven't had a Long Island Tea in a while. I think I'll have about a half dozen in tall glasses with cold beer chasers
Yes, tonight is the Final of The Big Dance. The Tar Heels vs The Zags.
I'm going to pull for The Zags since they've never won it all. The Tar Heels have a several of those trophies. I'd like to see The Zags collect one.
Oh, and by the way, on the women's side of The Big Dance aka March Madness, it was the Lady Cocks that won it all. Their first ever.
I'd like an ice cold Bud in a longneck to wash my lunch down with.
