I get what noll is saying. If they wanted it to be a truly "World" Series, it should between the MLB champ and the Japanese champ or something. Even in the rare years when the Jays are in, it's still a North American affair. OTOH, so few other countries play baseball and most of the best players, at least in the Western Hemisphere, end up in MLB anyhow so probably not much point.

Or maybe I'm just drinking too much. Which reminds me, I believe I'm owed a beer on noll's tab.

You're right about the greatest players come here to play anyhow. Cubans have been defecting for decades to play in the USA. Once the Cubans had to bring their national baseball team back to Cuba and end their overseas travel because so many members of their team defected and came to the USA to play ball.

The places that produce talent way beyond their population are The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Thye come to the 2 major leagues in droves. Also, Venezuela produces a large number of major leaguers. The best Japanese players have been coming here for nearly 20 years now. They can make much more money playing in the USA/Canada.

Now my Braves have spent big bucks on a couple of Japanese superstars and they just proved to be way overrated and big disappointment. But still, some Japanese players have had big success.

If you've noticed, the average height of baseball players keeps getting taller, especially for pitchers. Long arms can really sling the ball. But ball speed doesn't do much good unless they can put some serious spin on that thing and make it dance over the plate.

I keep wondering if there will be an expansion team set in Puerto Rico or Mexico City sometime. Though Las Vegas is supposed to get the next team. Canada should be in the running for another team, possibly Vancouver.

I'd suggest the Las Vegas franchise be called the Blackjacks or the Aces.
Where I live we vote on a computer on a stand. I did early voting. I was shocked at how many people were there to vote. There was a lot of security and volunteer workers. Quite frankly, the county marshals and volunteer staff represented just about all of the local ethnic groups. I liked that. Everyone was very nice and it went very smooth. On my ballot, was the voting section for US President, US Congressional Representative, US Senator, State Senator, several judges, state utility board, city and county officials, local school board representatives, and several amendments nominated for the state constitution.

The computer brings up all of your votes for you to check over before you finalize it.

I nearly always vote NO to amendments as those are usually proposed by politicians hoping to create more government boondoggle and another wasteful inefficient agency. This year we had an amendment proposed by political friends of removed corrupt judges that hoped to do away with the agency that keeps them in line. Fuck that shit!

I have never voted a straight party ticket. My ballot always has votes for some Democrats, some Republicans and sometimes some Libertarians. I vote for the candidate that I feel is most qualified and least corrupt.

I'd love to vote naked if they would let me.

What's this world you're talking about?

No more absinthe for you, Noll. And we're taking away your wooden shoes.

Everyone have an ice cold beer! Noll's paying.
Sometimes a woman gives a guy 'signals' cause she just wants to make the real guy she is interested in jealous or push him to make a move.

There are countless scenarios. And countless misinterpretations.

Often many guys haven't a clue when women send them signals. And often men are too stupid to read that she is only giving him negative signs. Move on dumbass. And the guys with the very aggressive approach are usually the most stupid.

If the guy is what she wants, I think most women keep on until they break through to him. Sometimes that takes a while. ha

In reality, there are a lot of pretty straight forward women that don't beat around the bush (not that kind of bush!). They come out and tell you.

Seattle Mariners fans have been living for 21 years on the memories of 1995, when we almost but didn't quite make the World Series. I can't imagine what actually having the Mariners in the World Series would do to the entire Pacific Northwest and Lower Mainland, but you can bet there'd be a lot of alcohol involved.

Bartender, a pitcher or six of Molson, please.

1995, I was 9 years old and my dad, granddad, and uncles took me and some of my cousins to Game 6 of the World Series in Atlanta. The Braves vs The Indians. The Braves were up 3 games to 2. The Braves won 1-0 and with that, they were World Champs. The city of Atlanta was wild. It took forever for us to get home. Traffic jams everywhere. That was Atlanta's third World Series in 5 years at the time, but the first one they won. It left a life-long impression on me as I'll be a Braves fan until I die. I went to two more Braves World Series after that but we lost both of them. Ugh! But hey, making 5 World Series in 10 years ain't too bad. That's 5 National League Pennants and 1 World Champion Pennant.

So I guess this leaves the Indians with the longest amount of time since winning the World Series, though they have played in a few. Several newer teams haven't made the Series yet, but they are newer teams.

A beer and a stadium hot dog for everyone.
WOW! What a Game 7!!!! Tied at 6-6 after 9 and into extra innings. FINALLY! The Cubbies win it 8-7 in the 10th. This has been one awesome World Series.

I guess for the Cubbies, the billy goat curse is ended. There will be some beer devoured in Chicago, and I guess Cleveland too, as they drink to 'what if'.

Beers for everyone!
Rumpy, I guess if the Saints are 50 years old, the Falcons must be also. They were expansion teams at the same time, hence the beginning of their rivalry. Notice I didn't say 'storied'. Back then evidently, they didn't help out expansion teams much like major league sports does now to make them competitive.

I've heard how horrible old Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium was for football games. Even 50 yard like seats were like 50 yards from the field. Those old multi-purpose municipal stadiums from the 60s & 70s. I attended some Braves games in that stadium the last couple of years it existed. They tore it down after the '96 Olympics and turned the new Olympic Stadium into The Ted for the Braves. Now the Braves are moving to a new stadium in the suburb. The Ted will be remodeled into a football stadium for Georgia State University, which just started a football program a few years back. We've got on-going bets that it won't take them long to out draw Georgia Tech for fans. Of course, that's not a major accomplishment.

Here Rumpy, have an Atlanta brewed beer on me. God knows I've drunk a lot of Dixie and Blackened Voodoo beers from The Big Easy. Oh, and got a tattoo there once also.

Somebody pour the beer cause we got us a Game 7!!! The Cubbies blasted the Indians 7-2. Both teams tied now with 3 wins each.

I sure love a 7th game winner-take-all in the World Series. Who will be World Champions this time tomorrow night?

Pour that beer...

A toast to Game 7

Grilled chicken fajita, packed as full as I could get it with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, tomatoes & cheese. Accompanied by chips and Mexican rice. Two ice cold Dos Equis.
I loved the big orgy palace in the last episode. I can't wait to get the full story on Ed Harris' character. Why does he want to figure out the maze so bad? I'm wondering if he was somehow connected to Arnold. I wonder if Arnold is really dead or possibly has been re-incarnated into a robot that we'll eventually meet. Possibly Arnold is being held prisoner by Dr. Ford. I want to see Delores have a full on nekkid steamy sex scene with Madame Maave.
Why not? I say strap on and go for a ride.

Well... my cock has four vibration level settings and I can shoot a propeller out my ass and hover like a helicopter. You should see me when I'm set on motorboat mode. That will make your titties dance.
Game Six! I was glad to see the Cubbies get that one and extend the Series. Back to Cleveland... I'd love to see a Game Seven. 9 maybe 10 inning down to the wire suspense filled finish. I've slightly been leaning to the Cubs, being a National league guy. But really, just want to see a exciting evenly matched series. Great pitching and fielding last night. Also, some excellent aggressive base running.

Also, my Falcons had a very exciting last minute victory over the Packers. Great evenly matched game. Matt Ryan and Aaron Rogers really showed their QB skills with deadly accurate passing. They were both sizzling! Matt has lost a couple of those last minute exciting finishes to Rogers, but Ryan got this one. Great QB dueling. Like western gunslingers.

So have a beer everybody. The World Series Game Six is on the way...

Everytime a black box pops up, so does two red boxes that duplicate the black box. The redboxes are stacked on top of one another just above and to the right of the black box in the very top right corner of the page. Sometimes they stay for a long unless I click the little x in the corner to make each one go away. With all three boxes it totally covers up all the check links in the red bar and gray bar underneath in the right top corner. So sometimes they have to be clicked off on to scroll or click a link. Sometimes they will disappear quickly and sometimes they stay until clicked off.

I'd rather get the black box only and have the red boxes totally eliminated.
I've looked through my settings and cannot see the box to click on that turns off getting those double black box things, ie. the redboxes. I get one black box and two red boxes simultaneously and the red ones block my cursor and scroll bar.

So how do I opt out of those?
Well, it looks like it's LAST CALL for beer at the World Series. The Cubs' batters are hapless against Indians' pitching. Not only that but last night, the pressure seemed to be getting to the Cubbies and out came the errors. Barring a dramatic, near miracle comeback, tonight may be the last hurrah. So get your beer now.

I would like to see the Cubs get one win at Wrigley and extend this thing. Beer! Beer! Last call for BEER!

Who is watching The World Series? Gettin' your baseball on? A fabulous pitching battle last night as the Indians eeked out a 1-0 win over the Cubbies in the first World Series game played at Wrigley Field since 1945. And baseball is for drinking lots of beer and chowing down on hot dogs and junk food...

Right on, Buz... Flying zombies that can shoot laser beams from their eyes. They've got sonic hearing capabilities and can see thermally. Maybe flick their tongues and taste blood in the air!

On another note -

Maybe some IT zombies that surf the internet.

It depends upon whether or not it's a quickie, a longie, or a mediumie.

The longie lasts loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong.
