There isn't a damn thing wrong with the current Atlanta Falcons stadium, The Georgia Dome. It's only been in use about 20 years and it has been extremely well maintained. But common sense does not prevail. Taxpayers are being forced to help pay for the new stadium which will be called Mercedes-Benz Stadium as Mercedes North America is headquartered in Atlanta and they opted to pay the sponsorship.
Despite the fact that it si a huge waste of money, it is going to be a true state-of-the-art sports stadium. It will have a retractable roof that opens and closes like a camera lens shutter.
So, I will be drinking beer and cheering on the Birds in this new stadium starting next season. Rumpy, your Saints will be visiting once a year in here. The Falcons vs Saints rivalry, now that has been an entertaining series, though much of it when both teams have not mattered much. But for the most part that has very much improved with those two franchises.

Who is watching the baseball playoffs? I've decided at this point, I'm pulling for the guys that haven't tasted the sweetness of a world championship in a long time.
