Something about wandering into a pic posting room and not being allowed to post pics is annoying to me. While I understand that it is a good idea to allow private room moderators to control what is posted in their room, it should be clearly posted that this option is active in said room. So that many, like myself, would pass it up and not enter. Hope that makes sense...

Titles are hugely important to me. Often, I find that I stress over choosing a title. However, I tend to begin a story with a title in mind and name it as such, but sometimes the story morphs into something different and a title change is needed. I too prefer the abstract, in fact as a reader, I'm apt to not read a story titled "Bending Over the Desk and Fucked by Daddy." If your title is long, I'm apt not to read it. There is something to be said for seducing a reader into reading your story with a title. I don't care about bringing views/votes in with a title, I name it what I want without that even coming to mind. Sure I'd like it loads of folks read my stuff and comment on it, but if a single person read, loved it and said so, I am over the moon!
As a mod, I can tell right away what the story will be about from it's title if you create one of the titles mentioned in this post. Being creative is much better!

While I understand your frustration MerryMaiden, I've not seen or heard of all the issues that you are reporting. As has already been stated, the site's tech guru is vacationing. It is imperative that everyone remain patient while he's not here. Nicola has made a wonderful home for us here without many contributing financially to the site's upkeep, so that alone should keep the public complaints and dissatisfaction at bay. Have I experienced the online messaging issue; yes, but there are ways to deal with it. Send your friend a PM, it may not be ideal for you but it is an option.
