Unless I know ahead of time an emergency call could be coming, I would totally ignore it.

Re: the readers choice award idea.

This has been proposed a number of times in various forms. The issue each time appears to be the actual criteria and methodology by which a story would be awarded. Any voting system would automatically favour authors with large numbers of friends/readers, and would inevitably result in a strong bias. Unlike RR’s which are a moderator’s personal recommendation and EP’s which are voted on by a panel, I can’t see how an RC award could be implemented in a fair way that gave all authors an equal shot at achieving one.

If someone has an idea as to how this might be accomplished please PM me the details and I will run it up the ladder. smile

Liz, I actually don't believe there is one. I have read thousands of essays, stories, poems, etc., on an undergraduate level, and graduate level, and I have this true story.
I gave a tough philosophy exam. Many students were complaining about how hard I was grading them.
Then privately I had asked the lady who wrote the best one if I could anonymously read hers to the class. When I was done, you could hear a pin drop.
I never got another complaint from that class.

there something bittersweet in your post. I also agree to your "nothing except keep on drifting through time, you never know who might come into your life, good or bad"
I try to keep my heart open and look to the "good" in people. I have been blessed in the past and I shall continue to hope as I am on my journey.

Yes, life is bitter-sweet like dark chocolate, or Tira Mi Su. The bitter ingredient brings out the sweetness of the rest!
The smell of a just washed baby.
The smell of my lady's arousal.
The smell of a woman's skin everywhere.I will have more when I wake up! lol
Friedrich Nietzsche, according to library records, borrowed more books on Buddhism than any other subject.
I was once a great NFL football fan. But last year I stopped watching games, and having any interest in the NFL, as it is now boring, and with all that is going on in my country, irrelevant.

No. They are here only as objects for male fantasies. I thought that was obvious.

Jeff, I have a good one for you my good fellow: A colleague of mine who was a critical thinking and Logic Professor, spent the money to get a big piece of wood like a door jam, burnished with the words, "ASSUME NOTHING!!" and hung it above her office door for about two weeks for all to see.
It was soon stolen!

Happy 4th to you and the girls!
The Los Angeles Angeles once wanted to sign me as a pitcher and assign me to a single A team in their farm system. They thought I would make it up to their club in a few years or so.

Yes I did gorgeous but no one is responding anyway. How can there be so little interest in such an awesome game?
Are you a WNBA fan? Have you been checking out the WNBA lately? Anything you would like to point out about its "game" and its players? I love it, how about you?
