Heartbreaking. There will never be another voice like his. Such a great artist and such a kind soul.

Gone decades too soon. I still can't believe it.

This is one of my favourite performances.

10 years! Congrats to Lush and Nicola and all you sexy beasts that help make this place thrive!

Negan just continues to be the most bad-ass, truly hate-able character EVER! But I can't take my eyes off him when Jeffery Dean Morgan is onscreen. He is such a awesum actor! And since Daryl and Rick have become sort of non-characters, he is def'ly the ONE TO WATCH, these days. Hate him, but love him!

He's a cool character, although I like the slightly more serious variation of Negan more than the stache-twirling comic-evil version.

I also love that the women on the show are leading the charge for rebellion right now. With Daryl immobilized and Rick all eager to remain Negan's bitch, it's good to see Rosita, Maggie and Sasha stepping up.

And I'm totally into Jesus. He brings a certain kindness, fair-play and lightness to the show that is missing without Glenn. Plus there's his beautiful eyes and kick-ass martial arts. It's hard not to love him.

RIP to a great icon. We think first of his music, but if you've never read his novels, 'The Favourite Game' and 'Beautiful Losers', you're missing out on some truly beautiful literary works, as obscure and mildly controversial as they may have been for their time. They left their mark on me, many years ago.

Rest easy, Leonard Cohen, someone who always knew just the right words.

heads up! Next episode..Daryl is Naked! OMG!

Despite a naked Daryl, they managed to make that scene as unsexy as humanly possible.
I'm totally feeling this potential hookup. To me, this makes so much more sense than the people who wanted the Daryl/Carol thing to happen. Pussycat, pomegranate and tempting biblical apples. Chemistry.

Andrea is my pick, too. I wasn't always in love with how they wrote her but I get what they were going for. I also liked Denise. I was sad they took her out so quickly.

YES, on Denise! I was so frustrated they killed her off. Great actress, cool character with tons of potential, her story arc was far from feeling complete or satisfying.

Not to mention that had she lived, they wouldn't have had to rush Maggie to the Hilltop doctor in the middle of the night, despite knowing that Negan's group was potentially getting ready to ambush them.

Maybe they did it to fulfill that plot point, but I agree it was a missed opportunity to develop a really interesting supporting character.

Anyone~ if you could have one character come back alive and well, who would it be and why?

I'd choose Andrea. She was a tough blond chick with leadership qualities. Loved her. Oddly enough, I also thought Milton would have been a great addition to the group.

Andrea, for sure. I was so pissed that they killed her off. She was my favourite. I know a lot of people hated her for some of her decisions, but I related to her the most out of all the characters that have come and gone on the show.

Then a while back, I read this. It seems like Laurie Holden got screwed over.

I would like to see the zombies mutate and evolve. It would be great if they start developing stronger cognitive abilities, more strength and mobility.

How about some smart zombies that can run, fight, and use weapons? There could just be one or two at first and they lead and organize the zombies. Then more and more begin mutating.

In season one, in Atlanta, where they're trapped in that store and also when Rick and Glenn wear the meat-ponchos to walk the streets and then make a run for it over the fence - the zombies seem different to me. One zombie is using a rock to try to smash the glass window of the store where Rick and Andrea are trapped, and later, a couple of zombies run after Rick and Glenn and are seen climbing the fence after them. And remember the little girl zombie in the opening scene that stops to pick up her teddybear?

This was strange and out of synch with the way the zombies have been from those first few episodes onward, where they just slowly stagger after people without any hint of intelligent thinking.

i always wondered if this was a storywriting/show blip where they were still ironing out their 'Zombie Rules' or if there was some other explanation for the behaviour.

If you don't like Negan or his bad guy friends, pack your shit and go some place else. The whole United States is free, I'm sure you can find somewhere to go.

I think one of the main problems with this is the fact that people keep procreating. Seriously. Like I cannot imagine how anyone would want to get pregnant and have a baby during a zombie apocalypse when you need to be mobile and adaptable but Judith forced them to hole up at the prison and fight for it. And now Maggie's pregnancy seems to be solidifying things. Watching them 'on the road' didn't seem like a fun experience considering food is legit scarce now if you're just scavenging. A secure space with walls and sustainable resources and safety is now a 'need' rather than a 'want'. This seems to be the motivating factor in fighting for what they have in Alexandria and not running.

While I agree, some previous storylines have felt redundant at times, and at other times kind of sloppy, this is ultimately a survivalist show - there's nothing to evolve to from here and there's only so many fresh ways to kill a zombie/herd. I think there is interesting potential for the first time as we come across other sustainable communities and the show looks at the idea of trade/barter and probably how to work together against a common evil. While I haven't read the comics, I imagine their only hope going forward to defeat Negan will be working with the other communities he's enslaved. They certainly don't have the manpower on their own. A lot of characters will evolve because of the recent deaths as well, which I think could be pretty compelling.

THIS is the show you're trying to get me to watch? i don't think so. *runs, hides*

Yeah, but before this particular episode, it was mostly kittens and unicorns. I swear.

I thought this exact thing! There was a moment at the end, where Rick is about to drive away and he spots a walker... I said "The walkers don't seem so bad now, the real monsters are men."

They prove it again and again. sad

Seriously... most brutal episode ever. Like I had seen the spoilers so I was pretty sure I knew what was coming and I was still completely traumatized. That was one of those episodes you watch once and never again. It was way worse than I was expecting. There wasn't a moment to breathe from beginning to end. I just can't even handle it yet. So fucking awful.

I thought it was an incredibly well written episode overall and I understand why they had to go this way. It really does 'reset' the show. There have been so many villains but nothing has ever broken the fight and resolve of Rick's gang like this. You kind of think after this many seasons, everything has already been done, but this is genuinely new territory.

I still kind of wish my eyes could 'un-see' some of the images in this episode. These characters will really be missed. It's kind of the end of an era.
I'm definitely Team Pumpkin Spice.

This is one of my fave masks by Peter Thomas Roth. It smells like pumpkin spice. You'll want to eat it, seriously. Except don't - it does fucking awesome stuff for your skin. smile

From what I understand the stories can't be copied in standard viewing format. Is that correct?
I had assumed if they are being copied this must be due to the pdf accessibility, yes?

If this is so, is it an option for the view as pdf option to be OPT IN rather than opt out (as is currently).
(perhaps this needs to go in the suggestion thread, yes)

Do you think this would have any effect on how frequently and easily material is copied?
Those authors that opt in to have pdf accessibility may then be more aware / acknowledging increased copying potential.
I don't know, just a thought.

No, they use a scraping technique. They don't go through the PDF accessibility. I've been opted out of PDF since it was first offered, and my stories still regularly show up all over the place.

I don't know the technical ins and outs of scraping, but it definitely isn't affected by the PDF option.

I removed his access rights this morning.

He said he'd not be needing this thread, which seems to indicate he's going to pull his account. If I put it back, cleaned up, that might make him think twice. Agree?

He has a lot of followers here, and knows the value of promotion, particularly as we're in the Top 3 (probably Top 2) story sites on the web for erotica.

Yeah, I think it's best to put it back up, properly scrubbed. I don't know if you want to scrub the bit where he talks about posting his stories to other sites though? It seems like that will invite more people coming to the thread to argue this issue on his behalf yet again and thump the site.

I can't imagine he would delete his profile, given the amount of stories and accolades he's amassed here. I don't even see him deactivating... I think he'll just drift away for a while to concentrate on his relationship.

He may have said he won't be needing the thread anymore because he doesn't intend on actively promoting his stories on the forums or posting here anymore, which is what that thread is being used for. But he may keep his existing collection of stories active.

Ditto. I thought this was all resolved back in June.

I'm not sure how 'Lush' came off as the bad guy in this. We get a lot of criticism on the forums from members about the impartiality of the mod team when awarding RR's. It doesn't look good when a long-serving, senior moderator is the sole person to award of all of his girlfriend's six or seven RR's. We're supposed to be fair and impartial. Public perception is important.

It would be sad to see him go but it sounds like he has made up his mind.

This.

What he's saying is essentially that mods should never question decisions made by other mods because of stature and rank, even if it genuinely concerns them, and to do so is considered unforgivable. This is exactly what people complain about when they claim favouritism and corruption. To follow this rule, we'd have to throw our integrity out the window.

I think it's best to remove his Mod privileges, as he requested, scrub this thread and put it back into the forum. If he deactivates (I doubt he'd delete, honestly), the choice is his.
Official Season 7 Trailer

... Negan, baseball season coming to an end, tons of new characters, The Kingdom, a huge tiger and more. October 23rd, 2016.

The first teaser for Season 7 is out, with the full trailer due out later today/tomorrow.

If anyone is jonesing for the big spoiler to last season's cliffhanger, you can go to The Spoiling Dead Fans facebook page (look for their July 16th post). Apparently they have a great track record and have been correct with their spoilers 95% of the time. They have an entire website dedicated to real-life stalking of the filming locations/sets and actors - enough so that AMC threatens to sue them on the regular.

Please don't post spoilers in this thread. Theories and predictions are fine though.

But if you can't wait until October, you can go peek.
Is 'Walla' or 'Wallah' considered legit American English now? I've noticed people saying and writing it more and more often and it makes me cringe. Voila is not difficult to pronounce. I'm not sure why this word has now morphed into 'wallah!' in the mainstream.
