What have Democrats done to help the marginalized and the disenfranchised over the last decade? Shit, even just the last couple of years? I point out the marginalized and disenfranchised because they suffer the most. Gun control is still shit. Reproductive rights are still shit. Plans to address student loans are still shit. Price gauging is at an all-time high and corporations have yet to be kept in check, so we get to play the “inflation” game. Instead we’re consistently told that prices are dropping. Speaking of corporations, there have been no major changes in trying to help preserve this planet for future generations to come. Don’t get me started on the homelessness problem. The public primary education system is fucked. No matter how you slice it, the Democrats haven’t meaningfully/impactfully delivered. And when they consistently shit the bed, they get to just point their fingers at the Republicans. Their only saving grace is that they’re not the GOP, which further galvanizes them into pissing down everyone’s leg and telling them it’s raining. We deserve better than that, and we won’t get it if we are always patting them on the back for not being openly evil pieces of shit.

Deceit is deceit, regardless of the party from which it comes. And blind loyalty to the Democrats is no different than allegiance to the MAGA cult. A party is only as strong as the willingness and ability of the public to hold them accountable.

If we're being honest, the democrats aren't being subtle. Their whole thing has been "Hey, we're fucking you in pretty much all the same ways as the repubs, but at least we're not repubs, right?" I'll concede that Trump's presidency forced everyone to show their hands. But not many of us lefties are naive enough to believe that the democratic party is worth a damn, nor has it been for quite some time. Again, Trump's presidency made the denial of this fact willful instead of misinformed.

Girls should play with girls in competitions, leagues and tournaments. Wanting boys to go in there and dominate girl's leagues too is not feminist, progressive or enlightened. Most people are fine with trans people, it's things like men in women's sports that makes people go you know what, never mind... what's next, scholarships for women going to men too? Or whatever slippery slope they fear.

In reality, not everyone can do everything.

Actually, they have it figured out in kids' Jujutsu and wrestling leagues. There's a required age at the outset, but kids are matched based on weight/height regardless of gender.

Or build bicycle lanes and paths. Or maybe they should do that to begin with rather than acting stupidly by blocking traffic.

If appealing to the humanity of those causing damage was effective, the need for protest wouldn't exist. Historically, change doesn't occur by appealing to the better nature of those causing damage. And the use of resources that already exist isn't a valid argument, being that it wouldn't be the case if more sustainable resources were available for use, which is one of the main points of the protests.
