Chill out? Look, if you don't want to debate, then don't quote me and debate...

Anyway, are they signing up to be in mixed gender competitions or are boys joining girl's competitions?

There's a difference. If they or their parents are signing up for that, then who cares.

They're mixed gender competitions. I'm aware of the difference, but what I'm saying is that the binary structure doesn't have to be the only way to handle mixing biological sex in sports and have fair match-ups.

Quote by Magical_felix

That is not the norm... Kids jiu jitsu tournaments are not mixed gender. Maybe training or whatever but the competitions are not unless you're talking about some random league where people specifically sign up to a mixed gender tournament. I am talking about a GIRLS basketball tournament having a random boy on the team and the boy dominating being bullshit.

Do you have some proof that kids JJ competitions are normally mixed gender?

Chill out, Ironic.

But seriously, I have younger cousins that compete, and they were mixed gender. Maybe it's only for the 12 and under division, but I've seen it.

The point I'm making is that it's possible. Takes extra work, sure, but it's feasible. It only appears impossible because it isn't the norm.

Quote by Magical_felix

You guys can have fun sorting all that out... Hard enough to get competent referees and coaches and you guys think every kid is going to be sorted out perfectly into leagues with different ages and sexes by some biology expert volunteers.

lol

Girls should play with girls in competitions, leagues and tournaments. Wanting boys to go in there and dominate girl's leagues too is not feminist, progressive or enlightened. It's ridiculous and crazy and only hurts the trans movement. Most people are fine with trans people, it's things like men in women's sports that makes people go you know what, never mind... what's next, scholarships for women going to men too? Or whatever slippery slope they fear.

In reality, not everyone can do everything.

Actually, they have it figured out in kids' Jujutsu and wrestling leagues. There's a required age at the outset, but kids are matched based on weight/height regardless of gender.

For what it's worth, I've unlocked all the threads I locked because they were run into the ground by this guy.

Dude literally cyber fucked multiple versions of himself to own the libs.

They're Blacks that are for Trump. what don't you understand?

Are the Blacks in the room with us right now?

Probably the same feminists who think it’s ok for a man in a dress to enter a female bathroom.

Hello. Referring to trans women as “a man in a dress” is transphobic, which we don’t tolerate on this site.

Please have a care moving forward. Thanks

Off-topic posts have been deleted. While anyone with at least half a brain cell is well aware that ElCoco and MsStep are one and the same, there’s no sense in derailing yet another thread by harping on that fact.

Now the aforementioned will post in this thread and others to filibuster until this post is lost, and we can all move on with our lives…while posting on topic.

Due to MsStep, ElCoco, and Ironic disregarding this post to remain on topic and to let the subject of multiple accounts go, resulting in me removing those posts, this thread has been locked.

On the second day of the climate talks in Dubai, representatives from most countries attending have signed on to a declaration about food.

Edward Davey, the head of World Resources Institute UK, said, "The declaration sends a powerful signal to the nations of the world that we can only keep the 1.5 degree goal in sight if we act fast to shift the global food system in the direction of greater sustainability and resilience."

What will we be on our future menu?

Reposted from repetitive, now-locked thread created by Chryses.

Moved to the Green Energy/Climate Change/Sustainability thread.

The Stop Oil Protesters do more to hurt their cause than to help it. First off, they go out, all wearing neon colored plastic vests (made from oil). Plus stopping & blocking traffic causes the traveling vehicles to have their journey delayed, burning more fossil fuel and introducing more carbon into the air.

Also, they piss off the people who would be sympathetic to their cause.

There are probably a thousand other things they could do that would actually help to stop burning gasoline and diesel fuels, rather than sitting down in the highway, making the masses hate them.

Blocking traffic is illegal, it is very dangerous, and it infringes upon other people's rights. I think they should be arrested, jailed, and heavily fined. Also, sentenced to community service, such as cleaning up the environment, helping at homeless shelters. Maybe put them in waders to get into streams to remove toxic waste and debris. Or build bicycle lanes and paths. Or maybe they should do that to begin with rather than acting stupidly by blocking traffic.

If appealing to the humanity of those causing damage was effective, the need for protest wouldn't exist. Historically, change doesn't occur by appealing to the better nature of those causing damage. And the use of resources that already exist isn't a valid argument, being that it wouldn't be the case if more sustainable resources were available for use, which is one of the main points of the protests.

This is appallingly backwards thinking coming from you, Buz.

This thread has gone to shit? I am shocked, I tell you.

Interesting that the thread's just started, and more than half the posts have nothing to do with the OP, and that's not including the posts I've already had to delete. This has to be some kind of record. But congrats on running your own thread into the ground, ElCoco.

Thread locked due to having to remove a post by Chryses after the previous announcement/warning.

It’s been stated before, I’ll reiterate: The mindless link-posting without added substance to actually contribute to the subject at hand, especially in efforts to shut down opposing viewpoints, needs to stop. If you don’t have the range to actually engage in the conversation without the postering, you need not participate. Please and thank you.

If I have to remove another post from this thread, it will simply be locked.

I don't care what kind of titties you like, Jack. Stop making this weird you degenerate.

Holy grail of tits.

Them fucking titties, though.

It's Tuesday. As promised, titties:

Quote by Magical_felix

Not sure what all you're talking about.

I just saw an opportunity for romance. MsStep might like the company of a gentleman like Ironic is all sheesh

Be that as it may, it has no place here. If you insist on playing matchmaker, take it to PMs. Please and thank you.

Quote by Magical_felix

There's a user named "Ironic" who is single and ready to mingle... could be a love match.

Please stop implying that MsStep is also ElCoco, formerly known as Bread8/silverglaze. Not only is it irrelevant to the subject at hand, but it's a waste as these "conversations" about multiple accounts go the same direction, which is no where. Thanks.

Been a minute since I darkened these doorways, but I'll be back for Titty Tuesday. 😈

Another thread meandered into the ground. Yay.

You complain when the evidence is provided in links and complain when it isn't

You quoted my post. You replied to me.

Say whatever you want; the current policies have been and are ineffective.

Nah. I only dislike links submitted with little to no context because people are too afraid to say things with their chests, no less in such a low-stakes environment such as a forum on a sex site. Especially when said links are less than reputable, and aren't honest enough to state why the policies are ineffective (as it pertains to climate change).

I replied to you, I spoke in general. Again, if it doesn't apply to you, by all means dismiss it.

I do say what I want, which is that current climate change policies are ineffective due to corporate greed and the politicians they own. You can ignore nuance all you want, because I know doing so is required for someone who thinks like you, and I accept this. We can end this conversation now. We both know you don't have the range. Cheers.

Quote by Ironic

The "no pics didn't happen" defense. I've been around long enough to have read the accusations. I've been around long enough to read the accusations.

You're not talking about me then, for you know I've never said or suggested climate change isn't real.

It's true the current policies have been and are ineffective.

Exactly. No evidence. I thought as much. However, this is pretty rich coming from you, someone who constantly demands evidence when your "stance" is challenged, and then runs away when someone provides it. LOL.

As to your second sentence, "If it don't apply, let it fly." As to your third sentence, there's more nuance to it than that. They have the power to be effective, however most of them require the biggest contributors to climate change to relinquish their greed, and politicians with a backbone.

Quote by Ironic
People can’t do that now without being wrongly called a climate denier.

As evidenced by?

Saying policies to correct/prevent the damages caused by climate change haven't been effective isn't the same as being a climate denier, and you'd be pretty hard-pressed to find any rational human beings who believe otherwise.

There are, however, people who imply that efforts to address climate change are ineffective because climate change isn't real. They do so in the forums by repeatedly post links about such failed policies and other anomalies to bolster these implications instead of stating their actual stance on climate change. Because they're cowards.

Quote by Just_A_Guy_You_Know

Are you still trying to connect this to a supposed boycott by rednecks over some trans controversy? If not, what is your actual point?

It seems there isn't one. The whole "here's a link with nothing else because using my words and contributing to the conversation is hard" schtick has gotten beyond old. People either need to use their words, or post elsewhere. The Think Tank is for dialogue, not mindless link-farming.

Quote by Magical_felix
Not allowed to call him an idiot and watch him explode anymore so now you get this... Him just posting his links and a vague troll comment.

I'm gonna regret saying this (because you make me regret most things where you're concerned), but you actually can call him or anyone for that matter (and vice versa) an idiot in the Think Tank. It just has to be on topic, and also show some fucking restraint because you take shit way too far sometimes Jack, you fucking asshole. /end rant

If one wants their sensibilities protected, they should venture into another part of the forums.

Thread moved to the Technology section of the forums.
