Oh my God...

Even on a sex site, some want to complain about politics, and Trump?

(And the current President...
he'll get plenty of passes from the Liberal supporters.

Because that's what Liberals do, they cover up each other's faults.)

Politics in the U.S. is a reflection of heavily persuaded voter attitude.

Because both sides of the aisles like to preach.

They like to preach about how some are going to fix America's problems, but they don't really do that.

Because gun violence happens everyday, and every year in the U.S.

Abortion happens everyday in the U.S. and around the world daily, because humanity is addicted/obsessed with procreation.

And in the U.S. the pro Abortion crowd, apparently prefers an Abortion Clinic, or using contraceptives?

Even though contraceptives are far more available, and easier to get too...

When any town in the U.S. lacks an Abortion Clinic?

Domestic Violence and abuse, happens everyday in the U.S.

There are illegal immigrants from 150 plus countries that are pouring into the U.S. illegally, through the wide open Southern Border, but some of the Liberals have stated that the border is somehow (Secure?)

The Border is not secure when 8 million plus illegal immigrants have come into the U.S. illegally, and have committed crimes in the U.S. this year.

Illegal drug use, and drug overdoses, happens everyday in the U.S.

And there are countries outside of the U.S. that are trafficking Fentynal into the U.S. as fast as the street drug dealers can make it available.

I'm saying this because regardless of what a politician says, the above problems are still plaguing the U.S.

Regardless of any Election, and regardless if it's Biden or Trump?

What a bunch of rambling nonsense…

Do you realize that first cousins can marry in many jurisdictions, including mine (Canada)? Criminal in Canada is limited to direct bloodline (children, parents, grandparents...) and siblings. The marriage act uses a similar rule. Social convention is certainly not in favour of cousins marrying or screwing around, but it is not illegal.

Yes, I'm aware that first cousins can marry in many jurisdictions. I'm also aware that there are varying degrees of that aren't illegal in many jurisdictions. I'm not in need of a lesson on the legalities of , so I'm not sure why you felt compelled to provide me with one. Social conventions aside, clearly this gentleman's campaign refers to legalizing a particular form of in jurisdictions where it isn't currently legal.

That said, it is a rather odd issue to hang your election campaign on. Surely there's more pressing issues he could target.

Indeed. Which is why I said "Legalizing is one hell of a platform."

Fucking Texas at it again...

This is some scary shit -- We're poisoning ourselves with this civilization's prolific use of plastics.

The current explosion in colorectal cancer among young adults, for example, appears to be at least partly caused by our gut being flooded with microplastics in the food and beverages we consume…

https://hartmannreport.com/p/microplastics-like-asbestos-can-kill-4b9

A new study just published in Environmental Health Perspectives found over 900 chemicals, most associated with plastics, currently found in the US food supply with the potential to cause breast cancer. They found 278 that directly caused breast tumors in animals, and 642 chemicals that disrupt or imitate sex hormones and can thus be assumed to factor into breast, uterine, and prostate cancer (among others).

None are currently subject to any significant regulation, and every effort to do so by Congress is thwarted by the GOP.

Back in 2021, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats succeeded in passing a bill that would have subjected these often-toxic, cancer-causing chemicals to regulatory oversight. It died in the Senate in the face of a Republican filibuster.

Plastic is now virtually inescapable now. We all have microplastic in our bloodstream.

Big government would have you believe it’s unnatural to have teeth growing from your eye. But if you read the Bible you would know that we all came from Adam and Eve. There needed to be lots of cousin fucking to populate the planet from there.

The bible also has a story about some girls getting their dad drunk so they could have sex with him because they wanted babies. Weird shit, yo.

Legalizing is one hell of a platform.

Attack? I'm being encouraging. You could cut the sexual tension between you two with a rusty butter knife. I've had enough of the will they, won't they nonsense. Quit edging and go for it.

No the fuck she isn’t.

She’s a leftist who’s sick of being represented by a party that inches closer to the right every day.

And she can speak for herself, the fuck?

Quote by Magical_felix

A third party then?

I’ve considered it. It’s also the first time in my lifetime I’ve come close to considering not voting, but neither of these things are feasible or helpful.

I’ll vote for whatever keeps the Republicans at bay, which means the Democrats, and further perpetuate the cycle of being fucked, because at least the Dems use lube and tell me I’m pretty first.

My whole point has been pretending the Dems are something they aren’t simply because they’re not Republicans is foolish at best.

Ideally, I’d love to see the two party system completely dismantled. But until then, I’ll go with whoever’s lessening my quality of life at the slowest pace. The best I’ve got right now is doing so with full awareness, instead of putting a party on a pedestal, romanticizing their paltry successes, and minimizing their failings.

Quote by Magical_felix

So you're voting for the republicans then?

The fuck?

Quote by ByronLord

Obamacare for a start. Biden was a big part of getting that through the Senate.

What have the Green Party done? They were hijacked by Putin's people, Jill Stein paid to dine with Putin. They have completely stopped promoting renewable energy and are more likely to be found opposing wind turbines, not because of the environment but because they like Koch money.

Problem with politics is that there are lots of corrupt people and sometimes they join a movement just to run it into the ground. The Green party had been coddling anti-vax loons for a decade before COVID. People died because of the lies they told.

Biden got a major infrastructure bill through Congress. As a result, the US has recovered from the pandemic faster than any other large economy. The bound back took two years, not six like it did last time when the GOP got to sabotage the stimulus bill.

Calling people stupid doesn't make a good argument.

I said in the past decade or last couple of years. Obamacare happened before then. And if you truly think the US has “recovered” in any meaningful way from the pandemic, I’ve got a beach house I can sell you in Idaho. Funny how I asked about milestones in the last decade, you named only two, which is embarrassing enough in and of itself, but of the two, one is a complete fallacy.

What have you to say to the other failings of the Democrats that I previously mentioned? Hard Mode: You can’t blame Republicans or shift the focus to another party.

As to the rest of your post, I’ll disregard it. No one’s talking about the Green Party, and it’s just another way to place blame on another party instead of holding the Democrats accountable for their failings and reneging (which is something Republicans love to do by the way, just in reverse of course).

Calling people stupid when they’re being stupid/obtuse is leagues more valuable than coddling said stupidity. The latter is a large contributor to the fucked state of the US. A bunch of stupid people have gone unchecked and are now convinced that they’re the smart ones, now look where we are. Stuck in an endless loop of party over principle with certain classes feeling it the hardest while those who don’t struggle as much (or at all) get to pat themselves on the back for keeping the good (read: less evil) guy in office. Some people are stupid because they choose to be, others because they don’t know better. Society as a whole improves when we support the latter and disregard the rest.

So while calling people stupid may (arguably) not be a good argument, it’s still a valid one.

Dani is consistently comparing Democrats to Republicans as if it's even a rational thinking-persons end result.

Gimme a fucking break. Republicans are always trying to fuck everyone over and into the ground. So they can be the king of the hill and everyone else can take a knee and kiss their royal asses.

Both parties consistently shit on the best interests of the US. Republicans/conservatives may be the greater of the two evils by eons. But how low does the bar have to be for the main celebratory point for Democrats is that they’re less evil (openly) than Republicans?

What have Democrats done to help the marginalized and the disenfranchised over the last decade? Shit, even just the last couple of years? I point out the marginalized and disenfranchised because they suffer the most. Gun control is still shit. Reproductive rights are still shit. Plans to address student loans are still shit. Price gauging is at an all-time high and corporations have yet to be kept in check, so we get to play the “inflation” game. Instead we’re consistently told that prices are dropping. Speaking of corporations, there have been no major changes in trying to help preserve this planet for future generations to come. Don’t get me started on the homelessness problem. The public primary education system is fucked. No matter how you slice it, the Democrats haven’t meaningfully/impactfully delivered. And when they consistently shit the bed, they get to just point their fingers at the Republicans. Their only saving grace is that they’re not the GOP, which further galvanizes them into pissing down everyone’s leg and telling them it’s raining. We deserve better than that, and we won’t get it if we are always patting them on the back for not being openly evil pieces of shit.

Deceit is deceit, regardless of the party from which it comes. And blind loyalty to the Democrats is no different than allegiance to the MAGA cult. A party is only as strong as the willingness and ability of the public to hold them accountable.

Rude. I am no fool. And I didn’t call you anything rude.

You use the word “moderate” in lieu of an actual argument. Along with, you know, the “fool” thing,

Ah yes. The old “I don’t have a rebuttal, and you were also mean so I’ll fixate on that” tactic.

This is exactly why I don’t debate the foolish.

Quote by Ensorceled

We may disagree on how to keep Trump and the Reps out of office, but you are fooling yourself if you believe there is any equivalency between the parties. This is a stress test of democracy itself.

You are fooling yourself if you believe there isn't. But again, playing both sides of the fence as a moderate requires substantial levels of self-deception to somehow always magically align yourself with the best that both parties have to offer (LOL).

Again, the crumbling of democracy is already in full-swing. Has been for quite some time.

I'm not fond of going back and forth with fools, so we can end our discourse here. Cheers.

Quote by RowanThorn

I’m going to throw out a devil’s advocate for Trump’s presidency. It was good for America’s future. Not anything he did but the reaction he created. The BLM movement, kids stepping up and getting into politics in huge numbers, exposing the effects of fostering subtle racism into full blow racist movements… this caused a massive call for change.

Then the Democrats do what they do, marched into office on the winds of change and put a stop to that right away. The voices died down as they waited for the change to happen and now as we close in on the end of Biden’s term it’s nearly dead. The melancholy of the left is just as if not more destructive than the hate on the right. Republicans and Democrats functionally run the country the same way, but Republicans do it more overtly and it angers people.

Trump caused some of the most positive changes in America and another term might kick off revolution. Might also herald the end of the world but the Democrats are going to microdose that over the next 50 years subtly. If we’re slapped across the face with it maybe we’ll fight back instead of accepting it.

If we're being honest, the democrats aren't being subtle. Their whole thing has been "Hey, we're fucking you in pretty much all the same ways as the repubs, but at least we're not repubs, right?" I'll concede that Trump's presidency forced everyone to show their hands. But not many of us lefties are naive enough to believe that the democratic party is worth a damn, nor has it been for quite some time. Again, Trump's presidency made the denial of this fact willful instead of misinformed.

Quote by Ensorceled

What is spineless? The article argues that a) the 14th amendment is specific to the Civil War and not meant to be proscriptive and, 2) will trigger the goons and start a second Civil War.

My argument was merely the second part - it'll trigger the goons. Let him lose fairly, in all 50 states. And if he wins, well, people get the kind of government they deserve. We had a democracy and we voted it away.

The spineless part is when moderates suddenly want to falter and play the fence when it comes to holding politicians accountable, especially Trump. Somehow they still try to find a way to play both sides of the fence. You're seriously campaigning for fairness for a person who takes every waking moment to take a fat shit on fairness, and everything else that's sacred to a democracy? And since when is accountability unfair, especially when it's applicable?

Several aspects of the constitution are outdated, but are still applied to modern issues when convenient.

If he violated the constitution, hold him accountable. Let the goons be triggered. The system is dysfunctional. There is no "it'll fall apart." It's falling apart in real time, and has been for quite a while now.

Quote by Ensorceled

I hate to come to this conclusion, but I think Trump should be on the ballot here. Otherwise the goon squad can declare the election "unfair" and who knows what the fuck will happen after that. Personally, I fear right-wing terrorists will hit the power grid and infrastructure - they've been practicing, and that's the scariest way to sow chaos. Which is all they really seem to want.

Here's a more reasoned discussion, and I agree as well: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2023/12/supreme-court-trump-ballot-removal-colorado-wrong.html

I read the article.

Jesus Christ, when will moderates grow a fucking spine?

Rowan - that particular, miserable, old fool can probably still log onto Lush as a guest to read the havoc he thinks he's injected into this overwhelmingly, liberally tilted website. And he's just as impotent to respond here with his typed words - as he is in real life with grooming and gathering up his harem of submissive females.

Actually, he can't. There's a reason you were only able to quote the MsStep account via someone else's quoting of him. Their posts are no longer visible, unless someone's quoted them. And the chunks of remaining quotes aren't enough to warrant the "havoc" moniker.

Therefore, the best way to avoid the aforementioned havoc is to let the quoted posts die, as they have thus far.

Let's see. If it does hold up, you can look for a cannibal blood feud on the right as they all rush to fill the void left by Trump. Should be fun. If not, Trump may surf on this wave of vindication right back into the White House. How many of the SCOTUS justice's lips will turn orange from sucking Cheeto dick? That's the big question.

Well a certain Vivek is already posturing that he's removing himself from the ballot if this holds up. One can only fucking hope this shit sticks.
