And good Morning all. Coffee for me. I had a rare night where I slept well. It rained for the better part of yesterday, leaving an inch and a half of rain in a single day. That's 3.81cm. As a boy from LA, that's almost unbelievable to me, yet here it was much more than a light shower.

I'm taking a short break from writing. I'm sure I'll start on something new soon, but right now I feel like Im pushing it and that isn't how I want to create.

As of now, my Rams are #1 in the entire NFL based on analyst power rankings and Las Vegas had them as the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl. Well, that and five bucks will buy a cup of coffee but it's nice for the Horns to get some respect for a change.

that was the notification I got that cloudflare was down. I’m still having a little bit of a sketchy issue now and then but it seems like it’s coming back. I was wondering if it was just in the United States the Western, United States, Southern United States or whatever but apparently it was worldwide.

Good morning all. I'm joining Lion in thoughts and prayers for Kat. We all have your back.

Got up at dawn to see the sun rise. Put a log in the fireplace and grabbed my coffee to enjoy a peaceful morning. Now I'm sitting in my recliner in nothing more than my bath robe with my chihuahua sleeping on my lap. I'm sure I could be doing something better with my life right now, but honestly I can't think of what that might be.

This is pretty good all by itself.

Wild Ride is out and doing well. While I may never get the readership I once had, I've added a lot of flowers lately and my views are up. I feel like I'm wrong the best work I've written for quite awhile.

Now, I have to decide what's next. I've got a few I started recently so I may go over those.

Anyway enough said, other than Rams are 8-2, standing in 1st place in the NFC west and probably going to be ranked #1 in the NFL power Rankings this week.

I know like others here, y’all have been through it, too. My twin and I still work full time. No way we could work and care for Mom and Dad in our home. I am in awe of anyone who does that. Mom turned physically and verbally abusive. Dad was verbally abusive at first and still too big a man for either of us to lift by ourselves. Fortunately Dad had long-term health insurance to cover about half the cost for each in a facility for 3 years. Mom was in the facility for less than 2 years. Dad’s still in his 1st year. FYI, here they run between 5.5K and 7.5K a month. Crazy! Unfortunately Mom was at less nice facility at lower cost end due to Covid short staffing and few openings. We got Dad in prob the best one here because the timing hit right when they had an opening.

It’s scary for me to think about what I will do if I get in their shape.

Anytime I try to convince simplicity that things were not what she was seeing. She simply accuse me of being part of the conspiracy against her. It was a very difficult time, but it wasn’t her fault anymore than it is his.

The assisted living place for Dad had a nice party honoring the veterans Tuesday. I went with him. He couldn’t remember what he’d done in the military, so I told the group. Dad was in military intelligence. They clapped for him and gave him a nice lil token for his service. :) He’s had another big decline since the time change. The staff said it happens to a lot of them. Alzheimer’s is such a curious thing!

I found my narrative voice for Dani the wild girl last night, or maybe she just came home. I was able to write about 2k words which, last night seemed like absolute dynamite.

Of course when I reread it this morning it may sound like utter shit. I'm hoping to put out the 5th episode, Wild Bull, in a couple days. So far, every addition has been well received and I enjoy writing her, so as long as there is a readership for her, I will continue writing. In the meantime, Summer of Love hasn't been performing all that well but that's fine. Those whondod read it seem quite pleased.

For today, I need to replace a back tire on my car. It's been suffering a slow leak for some time. I'd just get it patched but the tread is pretty worn so screw it. With winter here and the constant rain on the way, it's better to just replace it now.

Just popping in to say hi and give a brief update in my sinus saga. The infection is in the root of the tooth next to where the one I had pulled in May was. We thought it was just one infected tooth. Scan now shows this one is infected too. So next Tuesday I will have a root canal and the next day prep for crowns. I also have an antibiotic mouth rinse that my doc prescribed. It never ends. Oh, and I already used my dental benefits for the year. So this is a big chunk of change out of my pocket. 😩 I will keep y’all posted. 🥰
