The Democrats did handle things badly, Joe Biden should not have run a second time and ok, I know he didn't, but had he stepped down/announced his intention to not run again say a year out from the election that would have given the Democrats plenty of time to go through the primary process and select someone and give them a run and build up some momentum. Instead Biden insisted he was going to run and the media attention was focused on Trump who ran away with the Republican nomination and then it became clear that Biden was no longer up to the job. That TV debate he had with Trump was excruciating. Kamala Harris was really given a hospital pass.

I have to admit I was disappointed when Biden announced. He was gonna run instead of letting new blood come in. I never did understand what he was thinking.

As a person who was born in Hollywood and spent many years living in LA, one might think i was a Dodger fan, but no. I always followed the Angels and am loyal to the AL.

I've been suffering a but of writers block the last few days. Part 2 of my next story should have just rolled out last night but instead, it just feels like everything I write sounds like a lifeless business report

I'm glad you are doing better Kat. Enjoy your Octoberfest. I used to go to an authentic German club called the Phoenix club with a restaurant called the Lorelei. The food there was amazing. I especially love the Hungarian goulash they served.

Kim, I watched much of the Charger-Vikings game. It was a laugher for the Bolts. As a former Angelino, It was nice watching the other home team do well. The Bolts are one of the few NFL teams to never win a Super Bowl bowl.

Wild Oats p1 is in moderation and assigned to a moderator. Somehow that status unnerves me. One person locked it and went to bed. What happens if they get abducted by aliens? 👽 Then no one can put it on the front page?

I hope to finish part 2 today but I think I'm going to rip out about 500 words. The story took a tone change I wasn't planning on so I may have to kick it back on track. Coffee with a shot of rum for me.

I've been eating a keto diet for two months and can't have wine due to the sugar/alcohol

I've got a bottle of a good Californian Zinfandel just waiting on me right now in the fridge. It won’t be long before I break down and pop that sucker open.

I'm eating low carb at the moment.

This is grilled chicken alfredo with Shirtiki spaghetti. It's a great low Cal, low carb noodle that has the taste of regular pasta, but a little al dente.

The Alfredo is surprisingly low on carbs as well
