In that case, please submit one at a time and wait for us to approve it (with the note included that there are no changes).

of course frankly if they go on Amazon, they’ll probably never come back on here anyway, but you never know

Quote by deviantsusie

I think you can hide it by clicking edit and then save it so it stays in drafts but keeps all comments etc if/when you republish

Thank you

Quote by Obsolete_Fox

This.

And if you ever decide to resubmit them here, please leave a note for the mods that you made no changes to the story.

Thank you. I'll give it a shot.

but I don’t wanna do is at some point turn around and drop a dozen stories on moderation that’s just gonna bog them down, but it leaves a note saying that there were no changes done that would work

Oh goodness, I don't think I've ever been accused of being profound before, LOL.

I've been guilty of being too prolific with my submissions here in the past. Funny how the longer I am a story mod, the more time I try to wait between submissions. I keep writing stories, but these days, I hold onto them longer, which will work in my favor for times when I don't have time to write. LOL! (Remember when I was releasing episodes of The Office Whore every other day? I think I've only submitted four stories this month.)

One thing I do and have suggested to authors who have an archive of stories is to share links to older stories on their profile page. It helps satisfy those readers who want more from you and who may have missed older works, but it doesn't put any added weight on story mods' shoulders.

Whatever you do, don't stop writing. It's lovely to have you back here!

thank you, and I appreciate you understanding. I don’t mind waiting a week between stories coming up that was never a problem for me. I’m a little bit confused about how they’re being processed. Whether I should post it early so that it’s ready to go in a week or wait a week to post and then wait another few days for to get processed. That’s a little confusing to me, but I guess I’ll have to work that out. It’s kind of new for me, though cause I’ve never been this far ahead which is a good thing on its own.

I’ve looked into Amazon publishing and I may start writing some other stuff on my off time and post on there. We’ll have to see how it goes.

But thank you for being a friend and understanding where I was coming from

The popularity of this site and its success has resulted in this volume. When I first started I submitted at least one story a week. I have deliberately cut down on what I submit. I also am aware that my story will take time to be published

“Patience is a virtue

Search it if you can.

You will find it in a woman

But seldom in a man”.

Not my words honestly! But something we should master and stop haranguing the Moderators.

I wasn’t giving the moderators any trouble. I actually started this with a compliment I made a point of understanding what tech Goddess was talking about

Hmm. Thank you. I've done some research, and Amazon will accept original works previously published on a free site if they have been removed from that site.

I'd rather not delete works I have here which leaves me with a bit of a dilemma.

Lushstories has become incredibly popular wich is fantastic but the downside is long waits to publish and little time for the story to be featured before slipping out of view.

I'd like to transition to Amazon with my older works without removing them completely and add them to my excess new ones that could be weeks away from being seen here.

Well, I've got some decisions to make. Thank you for your quick response

In Lush V1, it was possible to hide works from view. I've searched for this function on V2, but am unable to find it.

Do we have a hide story choice now? I suppose it's possible to make a minor change and then save it instead of sending it back to moderation but then to put it back it would have to burden the team, making that a far less than optimal solution

Thanks for the pat on the back. I modded a Baker's Dozen over the past several hours and feel like I barely made a dent. However, I want to express my appreciation to the authors who have voluntarily reduced the frequency of their admissions. It does help us, AND it helps readers have time to enjoy stories from their favorite authors.

That is a good point and I'm probably one of the offenders. It's a tough choice. As I have more time than I ever have to write, I'm creating at a pace I never managed before.

So, what to do? The chances of submissions dropping is unlikely. One thing that has helped me is the ease such programs as the basic free version of Grammarly allows me to edit my dyslexia n a way I never could before. Before I left, I sent every work to Jwren to edit and that took a week by itself.

The result was I was lucky to write more than one a month and had dozens in an unfinished state.

When I returned I had 121 stories published in 10 years of writing. I've produced 15 since I've returned and have another ready to go after my current gets passed

Perhaps I need to follow up on a plan I've long considered and transition to Amazon with a portion of my stories.

I love writing too much to stop, but I also completely understand your point of overloading the team and the front page.

You make a profound point.

The single most striking thing Ive noticed since my return is the massive increase in stories submitted to the site.

When I was modding, a heavy Que might have 30-50 stories and THAT was considered an emergency.

But I've been watching the front page over the last week, and there may be as many as 500 new stories processed and released by the team. They just keep coming in waves.

Just in the last hour or so there were probably 10 or more moved out, and I have a feeling even then, they come in faster than its possible to process them.

Hats off to you guys. That is a hell of a job you all are doing

Mr Lion, you've outdone yourself on the images this morning. Quite nice indeed.

David and Me Bear, god morning to both of you as well. I'm sitting here thinking its Friday but honestly I need to check. One of The joys of retirement is I don't need to keep track any more.

Well, on to my day. I'll grab a cup to go. My dogs are giving me a look that says it's time for a treat

This has proven to be an enlightening post. and it shows that the nuances that go into writing a good story or more than just plot. There are many subtle details that many readers don’t even notice going through a writers mind as they craft the story.

And that’s what makes it an art

Great guy. He was everywhere, even outside of here, and always helping connect writers to publications. The entire online writing community mourned him. May we all make an impression on the world like that.

Cheers to him

I remember when I first got here he was already there became a friend for a while and then we kind of lost touch

We had a competition celebrating him after he passed a lot of good poems written in that competition in his honor

One thing I noticed is that he always tagged his poems with the term whatever so that you could find his work easily or he could. I never really understood which it was, but it was something I noticed and something that people wanna read his words might try searching for.

Quote by SydneySider

You're a grub. Seriously! You think that its ok to be killed because someone disagrees with you? That's so fucked up. I am interested in reading or watching something where he was racist. Or lied. So you don't think someone like David Packman or, Cenk Uygur aren't making money off of their platforms? Talk about grifters. They lied for years about Biden and made money from it. Careful when you take pleasure in the death of someone. Karma is definitely a woman who's going through menopause.

I don’t know where you get off making claims like that. I went back and reread his post and nowhere did he say he was happy about Charlie Kirk being killed.

What he said was that by Charlie’s own words he was inciting violence and he was

He was the guy who said that we had to accept gun violence for the right to bare arms after all

But you can’t deal with the post as it was written no, you have to try to turn it into something. It’s not because otherwise you look like a fool that you are.

Never thought of it that way. Mine were almost always random. But occasionally I'd pull a name of somebody I knew from the back of my mind.

I think the best way to say it would be that the name needs to give an indication as to how strong or innocently natured a character is. In the Accidental Escort, the female lead was Alicia, which to me is one of both sweet innocence and inner strength. It was also a nod to Alice in Wonderland because Alicia was certainly going down the rabbit hole.

Sarah of Watching Sarah represents biblical virginity which was meant as a misdirection.

So, my answer is that yes, I put a great deal of thought into names, especially the female leads

I also seem to lean toward female names that start with the letter A and male leads that start with J. That isn't always the case but I often start with such a name and then have to change it later

Good morning Rumpies. Bear, I'm going to read Spellbound as soon as I get my cup of Joe and get my dogs fed.

It's cool and overcast outside Memphis this morning. I slept until 10 am and only got up then because my pups insisted

I have a beagle and a chihuahua, and it's Simplicity's little shit Chihuahua that got me up. I gave to Beagle a beef stick and she took it right back into the bedroom, so I'm guessing she wasn't quite ready to get up.

Well, I'll check in a bit.

Names have some meaning to me. It's hard to explain but they have to feel right to the character. I've gone back to finished stories and changed them just before submission. This probably means nothing to the reader but for me it's important to get a name that feels right

The 3rd chapter of The Accidental Escort, Happy Endings, is now available. This marks the end of this series for now, but I've outlined a continuing story so, I think there will be more in time. I'm providing a link for your convenience.

And for those view who didn’t read chapters one and two I’ll provide these for those as well.

The Accidental Escort: Happy Endings

Good Girls Don’t Cum

Facesitting

An update on my Omnium Quest. With the publication of the Accidental Escort, Happy Endings, I have only 1 more to go, and it's complete and edited.

Love is a Battlefield is now uploaded including a cover photo which, sadly doesn't match the beauty of the one used by our cuddly Bear.

I'm just giving it a few days before I press submit so as not to unfairly burden our Mod Squad.

I'll be shamelessly pushing Happy Endings shortly but for now I am just pleased to finally gain my Omnium. Had I had to do it over I don't think I would even try, on the other hand, that quest did expand me as a writer so perhaps the time wasn't wasted after all

Oh, and Peggy and the Basher is also complete. But with my having so many in the line it might be two weeks before it actually hits the front page and I'm already working on something new with my co-writer, Cupidmaiden

Quote by Seeker4

If that's your cover, the mods will be too distracted to notice anything wrong. Quite a beautiful and sensual image.

I have something to confess.

I already skimmed if for my collection 😎

Quote by JamesLlewellyn

Okay, I've pressed "Publish" for my comp story.

The title is: Spellbound

Hopefully the mods won't find too much wrong with it…

Somehow, I believe it might pass without significant correction

Seriously though I’m gong to put that at the top of my Q when it comes out.

I slept in this morning. I feel like that was the first good night sleep I’ve had in days. So, good morning all regardless what of time of day it is in your part of the world.

Now, there better still be warm coffee around here

Quote by Katherine

Y’all don’t come for me. It’s allowed. The sex itself has to be consensual, but it’s limited to that. It opens up the drama to blackmailing or whatever else might ensue in the plot.

thank you I feel much better having that clarified

Quote by Seeker4

That list is more general advice (the term "tips" should a "tip off"😉), whereas the OP of this thread is an actual ruling that the mods follow. At least that's how I read them. Mods may correct if I am wrong.

Here is the text:

We do not accept stories which feature underage people / minors. Teen stories are fine providing the characters in the story are of legal age (16 years old). All stories that contain references to minors will be removed, and the submitter will be banned from the site at our discretion.

We also do not accept stories including content pertaining to , abusive situations, graphic violence, totally unwilling participants, drugging, dangerous sexual acts, knife play, mutilation, suicide or death.

The same is true for stories featuring sex with animals ( ) and scat. All such stories will be deleted as soon as we come across them, with repeat posting offenders banned.

Please assist us and report stories as inappropriate using the system provided, underneath the voting button on the relevant story page.

As I pointed out in my first post, consent might cover it but its not explicitly mentioned as it once was.

Totally unwilling might simply be referring to the act itself but photography actually spills into a multitude of storyline possibilities, many of which are quite legal even without a warrant.

In fact, in my recent story, Unknown caller, a woman was blackmailed by the use of illicit photos taken by a private eye that was unbeknown to her and her partner

The sex was completely consensual. It was the photographs that were unknown.

And this is why I’ve asked for a clear ruling on this and what I have to pull down my other story because it was not flagged by the moderation at that time?

I’m willing to do so, but we need to have some kind of clarity here

Yes, I recall this which is why I posted before submitting the story. But I read through the corrent guidelines and didn't see it.

I'd like to get some official clarification on the matter

Weirdly most people I know that have "drifted" have moved from the right to the center

that is kind of odd, but perhaps it’s because politics in this country in general have moved to the right

I used to consider myself a centrist and now I'm leaning pretty far left

But then, my late uncle who was very conservative, used to say if you were conservative at 18 you had no heart and if you were liberal at 50 you had no brain.🙄

I went the other way which totallly botched his theory to me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for the warm morning welcome Mr Lion

For those of us in Tennesee and Kentucky (looking at you, Kim, we have a sever storm moving in. Rain, high winds and mild risk of hail and even tornadoes

Be weather safe and plan ahead.its already raining with lightning here and by evening its going to get fierce outside

I watch Max Velocity on YouTube and get great to date warnings

Years ago, I recall the issue of recording a sexual encounter without a participant's knowledge was a violation of the guidelines. Which would reasonably be considered a violation of the consent rules

However, I’ve read through the documentation and I don’t find a reference to that today. This is relevant because I’m writing a story currently where a person is videotaped and blackmailed to prevent them from committing further abhorrent behaviors.

I don’t know if context would play into it at all, but in the particular case, the person being blackmailed thoroughly deserves what’s happening to them from actions they took of their own will.

this could actually be a bit of a can of worms because that it brings into the issue I could private eye film somebody from outside a window or any third-party for that matter

Nevertheless, I am sensitive to the consent issues and so I thought I should ask how that would be viewed before I complete the story so any input would be helpful

Thank you

Are Boomers are not a big part of the MAGA crowd?

They are indeed, but the largest per capita percentage are among GenX

of course, at least at one time they were far more boomers than any other generation many of them have passed away by now, of course

And for the record, I’m barely a boomer myself being born in 63 and I can say most of the people in my age group above and below are MAGA

Ironically, Boomers started out as the flower children who were liberal to the point of being scandalous to the Great Generation of WW2.

But somewhere in their 30-something phase they moved starkly ro the right

But then there seems to be a natural drift to the right among all generations, at least in the US, as people age

Quote by WannabeWordsmith

... to this I disagree, and have done so since we moved to Lush 2. I base this on people's browsing habits, and how social media works. Almost nobody sits with the front page open on their browser and hits refresh refresh refresh, waiting for stories to drop. In fact, the only things that predominantly do that are bots / spiders.

I respect your point, and I seriously doubted anything would change because it would likely require a lot of time consuming coding

And while I agree that people who are looking for your story, if they’re aware of you or the story you put out can easily find it whether it’s on the front page or not and I see that in the people who are following my work

That said, I have noticed in every story I put out whether in version one or two dating back 16 years that once a story leaves the front page, It’s gross viewer count drops substantially because the casual viewer is not doing that.

Be that as it may, your point is very well taken and in the end, I’m sure that you know more about it today than I do

Quote by wxt55uk

In the past, I have "suggested" that the front page should only be for new stories and that "trending" and "classic" stories should be on TABS, which you can click on...

I have also suggested that once a story has gone through moderation, it goes into a holding cell where the software drip-feeds it onto the front page. This happens, say, every 20 minutes. This way, there would be a slow flow of stories continually appearing, and every author/story would have its moment in the sun! 😎

I actually really agree with you on that, although there might be considerations for time of day when the story drops, I’ve noticed that when it’s in the early morning here in Tennessee, the views and activity on the site dropped dramatically so the only thing I would suggest differently there is adjusting it for site activity, but otherwise I completely agree with you

Quote by wxt55uk

Perhaps I shouldn't say this, but I had a lady who looked very similar to the one in the photo lying on the sunbed next door to me today. Yes, my wife was with me, and yes, she was dressed the same way, the only difference being that she was not drinking coffee! 😎

Now you know why I like Crete so much!

it looks like I’m gonna have to change my vacation plans 🙃
