That was easy...just sent them the links to my stories here...

That's what I've been doing, too. Hopefully it works and they take them down. If not, I'll do my best to embarrass the shit out of the plagiariser in the comments, and also in my blog. It might not have any effect on them, but the mere possibility that I cause them humiliation is good enough for me. Or AIDS, either one will do.

Yeah, I had joined Booksie so I could leave a comment or two...I wrote something like...

"Nice story Jackass, except you didn't write it...I did...have you ever written anything yourself douche breath?"

And then, of course, I posted the link to my original story...

Might have had something to do with why Booksie closed the account so fast...lol...but, I've always had pretty good luck with story sites if you send them the links to your original stories...

It's the sites where the site owners themselves are stealing the stories where you'll have problems...any respectable, established site won't be a problem though...
Like I had said, I usually don't get too bent out of shape over these things unless I think they're making money, or attempting to with my work...lately it's been hard to keep up with stolen stories, and poems now as well...

One that really pissed me off was over on Booksie...someone had stolen both my story "Sleeping With The Enemy" and my Christmas contest story "Her Christmas Wish"...changed the titles, and had them over there in PDF format, which some could take as a sign they're considering offering them as an e-book...

Anyway...contacted Booksie yesterday, and just got this reply a couple of minutes ago...

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us. We have closed the offending account.

Best,

Booksie Admin

It would almost be a full time job trying to put out all these fires.

Yes...that's why I don't really even try unless I think someone is attempting to make money off of stories...

Once you get your stuff pulled off one site, it just shows up on another...

I spotted a couple of stories by sprite and by ropetease form here, on that site DM just gave.

I think just about everyone on Lush has a story over there...some of the titles even have "Lush" in the name, like this one...
http://521friends.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7061

There is literally about 100 pages of stories taken from here...
This is not really a story site, so I think I can post the link...it's a forum thread where someone posted almost 100 pages of people's stories...and I can tell you quite a few belong to Lush members...

http://521friends.com/viewforum.php?f=7

What's the deal with Booksie? Anyone know anything about that site? I found someone who claimed authorship to two of my stories and a couple of poems, and while it doesn't appear anything is for sale...the fact that Booksie converts stuff to PDF I'm not too thrilled about...it means this person might have further intentions...maybe...

They changed the titles too, btw...

What if we find our story on another site and there is no way to contact that other site?

I found a few of those actually...was able to leave a comment on one with the link to my original story, and I tried to keep the obscenities to a minimum...

I Googled seven of my stories...all but one I've found on various other sites, most I've never heard of...only one was actually re-titled btw...
OK, I've been searching for about an hour or so...and I can tell you, I'm on a proverbial shitload of sites I never even heard of...

Someone mentioned xHamster...I have several on there, and I have to assume others here do as well...
http://xhamster.com/user/adel5000/posts/47515.html

I'm finding out "Your Eyes" is a very popular story for theft...I have to say they have good taste at least...

Here's another site with "Your Eyes"...there are other stories listed at the bottom, you may want to check...I already sent a message to Jake that "Deep Tissue" is on there...again, at least they have good taste...
http://www.temptationsdirect.co.uk/47-Stories/Your-Eyes

Here's another site with "The Package"...
http://erotichotstories.com/sex-with-toys/the-package-what-would-you-do/

It's interesting because in the "about" section it says...

"Welcome! My name is Jully. I love reading and writing erotic stories so I thought I could share my own self-penned erotic stories and stories from guest writers. I`d love to know your opinion and would be glad if you have a desire to be published here. Contact me if so! Have fun! smile"

However, I don't see any way to contact her...

I decided that as long as people are not using my stories to make money, I'm not going to try to get them pulled off all these sites...there are way too many, and it's just going to be an ongoing thing...

I think I'm just going to post a comment, if I can, something like "Nice story, and I'm not just saying that because I wrote it"...and then maybe post a link back to my Lush profile page...
Btw, there is a site called AskJolene.com which is apparently using people's stories but giving credit to the author...

I mentioned it, because I just my story "Morning In The Park" listed there too...it shows the first paragraph, and then when you click to read the rest of the story, it links to my story on another site where I'm still Exakta66...

Very strange, that one...

Another way I track stolen material, is taking a unique sentence from a story (something with a name / place / unusual description) and put it in quotes, then feed it to google.

If you have Google Chrome, it's actually very easy...just highlight a couple of sentences, and right click, and it gives you the option to search Google...

I can see this could keep me busy all day...I started with my second story "Morning In The Park" and found it on some porn site...
http://stories.pornlinks4u.net/2011/07/morning-in-the-park/

Note that is says the author has "published 2564 articles so far"

Do you think there might be a couple more stolen stories here?

Yeah, have fun with this one...if someone's not actually selling something of mine, I'm not sure it's even going to be worth it...

I actually like the second one better. There's no pretense to it.

I like the second one too...pretty classy actually...

I'm just waiting for her to toss the bouquet...

Is there any way at all that I could create a somewhat decent story WITHOUT offending anyone?

Probably not...in general, anytime you write anything, someone out there will be offended...believe me, quite a few people are offended by stories in the most popular categories here on Lush...namely and reluctance...

You just try not to offend whole countries or continents unnecessarily...
Quote by nicola

As I've said to a few people privately now, I wouldn't feel any animosity to fanfiction.net over this, they have to assume that stories / profiles etc, are legitimate, as we do. Once they are made aware though, they should act swiftly, and remove the offending accounts.

Site owners are generally very receptive to this sort of thing...they don't want their sites to be known as hotbeds of plagiarism...not good for business...

I've seen this sort of thing before, and the site owners have been very nice...something tells me I'll probably see it again...
From "Jimi Plays Berkeley"...damn, I remember seeing this movie in high school...have it on DVD now...
Good Morning Lushketeers...what the heck is going on here today? I see Rumple is awake, and from here almost appears functional...

So, ChefK is out running? Out running who? Reminds me of that line I saw recently..."My wife ran off with my best friend...and I really do miss him"...

Ah yes...anyone here feel inspired and make something resembling coffee yet? I'll take mine with cream and sugar...and hold the sludge...

Cheers,
Alan.
Thought this worth sharing...especially considering the growing number of poems I see using text language on poetry sites...

"Is the proliferation of texting among young people actually bringing them closer to poetry? Britain's poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy thinks that, in some ways, it is. Last week, she told the British newspaper The Guardian that there are parallels between poetry and texting."

From Woodstock...and no, I wasn't there...would like to have been though...
Hey there Miss Royal Batgirlness...Happy Birthday...

I was busy all day making a cake for you...hope you like it...it's not poison or anything, trust me...

Cheers,
Alan.
Had to post this somewhere...bet there was a lot of honking, btw...must have sounded like a flock of geese...

Point taken about the negative stereotypes. I apologise for considering using them up but they're used so commonly in erotica,

I do agree with your point there...for instance, you never read a an erotic story with an Asian guy with a 12 inch cock...there's a new angle for ya'...

I think Nicola's point is that you don't have to add to it by creating stereotypes about Brits and Aussies, etc...

And btw, be especially careful about what you say about Aussies around here...and no, they don't all ride kangaroos to work...I made the mistake of saying that a couple of years ago, and I still haven't lived it down...

Hey, what did I know?
Doesn't bother me...and feel free to post more pictures Shawna so we can make a better judgement...

That picture Sprite posted of her friend I find much more disturbing, btw...

For example someone living near me affirming the performance of an activity and approval of the result may well say, "She do do that! Tidy!" yet the same person would not dream of writing the same words.

Of course, and this has probably been mentioned before...it would be perfectly acceptable to write that as part of dialogue...the rules of grammar are often tossed when they are between quotation marks, and rightly so...

When I first started writing back in 2009, I had read a couple of articles on erotic writing and one of them was about the appropriateness of dialogue...

While it may be perfectly acceptable for a young kid in a club to say something like, "That shit's the bomb"...you would not normally expect the CEO of a Fortune 500 company to talk like that at a board meeting, and your stories should reflect that...

And while that may seem perfectly obvious to you or I...don't assume anything to be obvious to all writers...I've seen more than my share of indiscretions in this area...

Just saying...

A haiku:

Creative writing
That's what it's called. I write
But create nothing.

Your haiku is classic, btw...

I am not normally a haiku fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this one gave me a chuckle...
Remind me not to accept any dinner invitations to go over any Lushie's house...

Just saying...
You know Doll, I posted the link to that cook book in one of the groups I'm in over on Facebook, and they came up with all sorts of interesting ideas...

Anyone here think there might be a market for "organic" semen? You know, for cooking purposes...
Coffee ready yet?

Hey Sharon, nice to hear you found affordable housing...if not, maybe Rump will rent out a corner in the office to you...I mean, if Terrance don't mind...

Hi Chef...

I looked the cookbook up on Good Reads and had a laugh at some of the comments about it!!

Yeah, I'm tempted to do the same...though you'd think reading the back cover Doll posted would be enough...

Is this book available in a deluxe, hard cover coffee table edition? Great conversation piece, I'm sure...and it would make a great gag gift, no pun intended...

I'll think I'll go over to Good Reads and post some comments...anyone want to cum with me?
Good Morning there Lushketeers...anyone make coffee yet? I'd make it myself, but that's too much like work...

Sorry I missed Chef's Guinness Stew...I heard it was to die for, well maybe not literally...and according to my recollection it may have been the first time in years there was food in this place that was decent enough the roaches didn't pass it by...

I see Country Girl is here...though there's a rumor going around she may be a former patron who is now in the Witness Protection Program, and I'm not talking about Jehova's Witnesses either...

Not sure how many laws she broke, but it must have been some good ones...

Speaking of breaking laws, has anyone seen Mr. Scooter lately? Haven't heard from him in a coon's age...not sure how long that is really, but I know it's a long time...

Anyway...let me try back later when the coffee is made...
Cheers,
Alan.
