I’m Elise Harper. And at this point, I’ve stopped apologizing for how deep I’ve fallen into my obsessions—graphic novels, horror, sci-fi, and the kind of fiction that makes people uncomfortable in all the right ways.

I’ve been reading comics since I could sneak them under my school books, but The Crossed by Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows is still the one that hit me like a punch in the chest. It’s brutal, raw, and doesn’t flinch—and that’s something I’ve always admired in storytelling. I don’t have patience for sugarcoating. I want honesty, even if it’s ugly.

Movies are a second language to me. I was raised on Alien, The Thing, Blade Runner, The Fly—the greats that made fear an art form. I still get that electric feeling when the lights go down and the first unsettling note of a soundtrack kicks in. That kind of atmosphere has a way of sticking to you.

I write fiction too—mostly erotic stories, with some horror woven in when the mood hits. I like pushing boundaries and exploring desire in ways that aren’t always comfortable or conventional. My stories live in the intimate, the raw, the twisted—where sex, fear, and emotional truth all blur together.

At this stage in life, I know what I love, and I lean into it. I’m not chasing trends or looking for permission. I drink too much coffee, stay up way too late, and surround myself with books and films that speak to the darker corners of the human experience. That’s where the best stories live.
