Hi there. You can draft and store as you like within your My Stories link. We don't allow stories in any of the forums, since we require verification before they are posted on the site.
As far as editors go, there are quite a few people on the site who would do that kind of thing for you. Perhaps one will reach out to you through this thread or in a PM.

Nasty implies that the moderator sending said message was somehow insulting or offensive. Simply a request to only submit one story at a time is not a nasty thing. It's more a moderator asking the member in question to please pace him or her self, for the benefit of other members and the moderating group. It's really a request to be a conscientious Lush member.

It was actually because the picture was too big, but it wasn't telling me that. It was just throwing some non specific forum error. But I should have known that. I should have. Blah.

This sounds like it could be a CSS issue / option, and could be fixed programmatically, regardless of image size. It should be; "Title, By Author", then the image, and then the story title and body. Unless of course, people wish to have the Title, By Author, overlaid on the image.
It might be best to have it as an option for authors to choose either / or?

I'm thinking purple for both, instead of the standard blue and red. The shape is different enough that it shouldn't need extra distinction. Maybe use some black outlines to give it a little more visual interest. I like them better without the inside lines, so, the hour glass and the vase shapes, with the framing angles. I'll try to do something more electronic when I get the chance.
