I am not surprised. I cannot see you being a nice young lady no matter how hard you try. Young, maybe. Nice? Nice-ish, perhaps. Lady? WTF? ROFLMAO.

Edgar Broughton's "Out Demons out". Yea. Great track for fifteen-year-old boys to sing along to. (sorry for the preposition at the end there, but how else can you say it? )
Do you remember a band called Black Widow from about the same time? They used to perform black magic rites on stage. They got a lot of flack at the time — endangering the souls of their audiences, would you believe. Pretty dire music.
Probably going down great guns with the present folk horror revival peeps — Wicker Man, Blood on THe Devil's Claw, Witchfinder-General, and all that.

I do know that in a concerted effort to quash exploration and venturing outside of Smurf Village, Papa Smurf contacted Nicola to discuss options. Having thumbed a few rides in her day, Nicola asked if Papa Smurf knew how the younger Smurf's were able to travel. He said hitchhiking. Nicola said, "I's gots me an idear." It's started with one, proved to be a successful deterrent for the Village, and a simple but memorable and effective recognition program for Lush. So now, the tradition continues. Initially, blue blood was oozing from the severed digit, but it was 'cleaned up' before posting it.
In Addition, most don't know that the community of Smurfs live in fear - fear of failure (not to mention blue balls because Smurfette does NOT put out for the entire community). When Hollywood called, Papa Smurf answered. If any of his flock did not perform on camera to expectations, they're thumbs too are 'sacrificed'. Since opposable thumbs are genetically inherent to revolutionary actions, eight and nine fingered villagers are less likely to protest or revolt. That's the history of the RR blue thumb origin on Lush.
The more you know...
Another hit of whatever I'm having, barkeep. Keep it coming.

My God, Grace! Some memory you have there. Some of the bands on that list I have seen too and had forgotten even existed.
I saw Aynsley Dunbar's Retaliation in 1971, the back room of a small hotel in a North West U.K. town. I remember the occasion because they must be the most tedious band I have ever watched. Perhaps me not knowing their stuff didn't help their cause.
I'll always have soft spot for Blodwyn Pig, if only for their ridiculous first album cover.
