Aw that is sad news. Definitely one of Lush more prolific writers in recent years, and someone I only heard nice things about. RIP Paul x

I understand that the competition deadline is based on when you submit the story, not when it’s published, but a week-plus lag? I see another entry got added yesterday. Curious as to the story behind the story. https://www.lushstories.com/stories/flash-erotica/christmas-party-revenge-sex
It's a bug, unfortunately. We'll ignore this one and have asked for it to be removed from this comp.
A coworker gets a payback on a one-night stand and a coworker at the same time.
Flash EroticaQuote by LYFBUZ
Just as the clock struck midnight Bunny’s back arched, urging her sex against his mouth, wanting, needing; craving his probing fingers, his fiery tongue. Brought to the edge again and again she begged for release. Dancing ballerinas of ecstasy trembled deep in her core, cuffs at her wrists and ankles straining with metallic creak as she writhed beneath his relentless teasing. Finally she surrendered, abandoning herself to sensation. To him.
And just as a quick reminder, folks, 4th place in the flash competition will win you a week of this 😇
...and the naughty ones. Let's face it, we all know which list we're likely on.
A very merry festive season to all, whatever you may be celebrating this year, even if it's just another cycle around the sun.
The latest comp wound down today, and most of our mods will be AWOL for the holidays, so it'll be a little slower around here for a week or so. The story queue isn't officially shut, but if you are considering submitting a story, please consider why on earth you want us to work over Christmas 😇
I'd like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has helped keep the site running for another year. This ragtag band of volunteers are the only reason we can keep delivering quality stories daily, and keep the chatrooms open and welcoming. I'm immensely grateful of the time that they freely give and it's a pleasure working with them.
So to all our mods, admins, members, writers, chatters, readers, connoisseurs of smut, and to the people who work in the office and mostly behind the scenes, thank you and I hope you all have a peaceful festive season.
Jen ❤️🧡💛💚💙🩷💜

Interesting suggestions coming up.
I read a lesbian story and it suggested a gay male as a similar story.
To be honest, if ive just enjoyed a lesbian tale of submission and pussy worship, a story full of hard cocks isn’t the first thing I'd consider as a read in a similar vein.
Some might appreciate the contrast ![]()

Since I haven't seen any announcement of the Similar Stories feature, I'll ask here. I understand you may not have any answer to offer. If it is inappropriate, just send it away and let me know.
Will we, as authors, have any say in what type of stories ours are associated with by the AI doing the match ups? Or will it simply be a blind read of the tags used? I know that it is the Lush bot making the list, but it is also reads as a tacit endorsement by me. And will we be able to see which of our stories are being recommended to others? If at all, since some of us have never been considered "trending" whatever that means.
I have only found the suggestion on one of my stories so far, a micro, and none of them had any bearing on mine. I really do not want to commingle with HARDCORE or CHEATING or BSDM, to name a few.
We had this on v1 for a decade. It's nice to see some old features coming back. The interminable to-do list is slowly getting done. The more we can keep people engaged, the better, I say.

Okay, I have an actual serious question 🤣
When you say "set around Christmas" exactly how connected does it need to be? Like, it is just the holiday season with some decorations around or does it need to be Christmas-themed? (e.g. during a Christmas celebration, etc.)
Just set in the holiday period is fine, although, personally, the more fairy lights the better.
** closing date 24th December 2024 **
The theme for this competition is Festive Flash. So named because we like alliteration and there's a strong possibility we were drunk when we dreamed it up. So, it's festive, and it's a flash. We also like a good double meaning and therefore the story rules are as follows:
1. Your story must be between 600 and 1,000 words.
2. Your story must be set around Christmas.
3. Your story must have someone flashing, or being flashed, either accidently or on purpose.
You can submit your story in any category (other than micro, novels or poetry) if it fits better in a category than in the flash category. Other than that, let your imagination run wild. Be silly. Be serious. But above all, be sexy. You have max 1,000 words, so if people aren't naked and writhing in mindless ecstasy by paragraph two, shame on you.
Usual competition rules also apply and are linked here. Note the extremely short timescales on this one, and get scribbling!
Closing Date 24th December 2024
Announcement date 12th Jan 2025
First place $150
Second place $100
Third Place $50
Fourth Place : Use of Canadian Boy Toy for 48 hours

This is slightly off-topic, but it's close. I notice that sometimes it feels like new stories are raining here, appearing every few seconds, and other times, there is a day or two of drought when no new stories appear.
Question: Has any thought ever been given to feeding new stories onto the site at more regular intervals?
The reason I bring this up is (especially for new authors) that having your story on the first page for a while could help it gain traction with readers seeing it. This is just my opinion; I accept others may not agree. 🙄😊
It just depends who is available. There will be days where noone has time to devote to moderating, so we can't really work to a timetable.
My, you're a bloodthirsty lot, lol.
When I first got sent the shortlist through, I thought, oh fab, I'll have a sit down with a cuppa and go through them. That'll be nice and relaxing. Oh, how wrong I was. Blood, guts, more blood. Pretty sure there were some entrails at one point.
Despite all that, the quality of writing was absolutely excellent, and I'm in awe of anyone who can weave erotica into their story with such skill.
So without further ado, the crown for this comp goes to TheShyThespian, who takes top spot with his intricate tale of lust and witchcraft through the ages, Fabian's Folly.
Sprite takes second place (I'm fairly sure that's where the entrails came from) with her dark and bloodthirsty vigilante tale, Glitch.
Third place goes to the fabulous KatieTheWriter, who penned a most excellent take of intrigue and mystery in a very cyber/noir setting. Virtual Vice takes the bronze.
The full list of winners is below, so many congrats to those who placed, and my thanks to everyone who took part. As usual, I'd like to extend my personal thanks to the person who had the job of shortlisting this time around, and of course to the rest of the judges for your insights and comments.
A new competition will be announced shortly.
Full list of winners:
1. Fabian’s Folly—TheShyThespian $150 prize
2. Glitch—Sprite $100 prize
3. Virtual Vice—KatieTheWriter $50 prize
4. Porn is dead, long live porn—Wannabe Wordsmith
5. How I solved my own murder—Toreador
6. The Stolen Apartment—AmuseBouche
It's been a busy few months at Lush HQ. Over 3000 stories have been published since the summer, so I'd like to thank some of the story mods who have kept us ticking over.
Cydia - adored by many, mistaken for a Chinese spy by few, she regularly lubes up the gears to keep us cranked.
DanielleX - always on hand with some morale boosting quizzes, or pictures of her boobs. Both are welcomed. Sometimes, at the same time.
Literot - a more recent addition to the mod squad, he's taken to it like a duck billed platypus to a swimming pool.
And on the chat side, a special shout out to Venus, who helps keep the horny masses in check by what can only be described as a magic touch and an abundance of charm.
$100 of lush coins is winging its way to you all.
