Works okay for me too, straight from my phone pictures.

Anything yet, WW?

No. We will advise if there is an update, thanks.

is there a rough indication of how long it takes to get one's story reviewed and published? Are we generally talking about days, weeks, months?

Usually 2-3 weeks for silver or below. 2-3 days for gold/platinum. there are around 100 in the queue at any given point, but gold/platinum go in at the top. Hope that helps.

Lol, it was fun getting to play for once. My thanks to your laddie for putting up with us, Kimmi. Really enjoyed this - well done to everyone.

❤️🧡💛💚🩷💜💙

These are so fun. Thanks for organising, Kimmi.

Peach

The cooling pie’s aroma permeated the kitchen. My wife sat, feasting on a spare half of ripe peach, watching me.

I was naked. Handcuffed. Hard.

She finished licking her fingers, then used them to pierce the crust, digits disappearing into the hole and withdrawing, sticky.

I whimpered, needily.

She lifted the violated pie and approached me, sliding my cock into the warm peachy goo as I groaned.

“Dessert-time, baby.”

Hi. Yesterday used coins to upgrade toa gold membership for a year. It went through fine and I was gold all day yesterday. But today it's showing that I have a non paying membership. I was hoping to get this addressed please. I can see that it took my coins and that it shows that I did upgrade.

That should be you sorted. Sorry about that smile

Happy Sunday, folks. My thanks to the judges for turning this one around so quickly. These may have been short, but this was not an easy ask. Poetry is so very subjective, and it means different things to different people.

That was one of the reasons that this wasn't whittled down to a top ten before the judges got it - it was over to them to whittle it down further. It's a combo of me chickening out but also making other people work more, lol 😇 In all seriousness though, I'd like to thank the judges for their time and insights into what these poems evoked in them.

But without further ado, I will offer my sincerest congrats to Ascendent, who took the top spot with her brilliant take on 'what if'. The Shadow Life takes first place. Closely following on her heels was the beautiful erotic offering, Blind, from Katherine. And third place goes to Henke, with his gorgeous real take on what loving someone is. And Yet... takes bronze. I will be in touch with you all re prizes shortly.

This was a bittersweet one, because it's hard to see a lush poetry competition where we didn't get a masterpiece penned by Elliot, but I'm sure he'd be delighted with the array of talent on show, and in particular, our three worthy winners. Thank you to all who took part, whether just to try your hand, or as way of tribute. The next competition will be back to stories, and will be announced in the next week or so.

Jen x

I don't really get the need to extend it. Like Susie said, it's a popular authors list, which some might use rather than the RR/EP section. It can get to be an obsession with some authors. It wasn't too far in the past we had one person spamming everyone and their granny to like and comment and the pressure got to be so much that she just started stealing stories from elsewhere to keep the content coming.

I think 100 is probably the limit I'd want to see.

I understand r*** is a banned topic, but what about a story/theme where the wife has a r*** fetish and with the aide of her cuckold fetish husband, he arranges strangers to quench her fetish. Therefore, while both have different kinks, fulfill them in a unique way. From the story perspective, the sex may appear nonconsensual, however in reality it is fulfilling her fetish safely and prearranged.

I have a line at the end of the story that explains the relationship: "What you’ve just read is a day in the wonderful relationship between a husband—me—who has a submissive, cuckolding kink, and his beautiful wife who has a yearning nonconsensual kink.  Stay tuned and see how their fetishes intertwine to keep each other fulfilled."

In full transparency: these were a series of stories written privately for a woman I met here on Lush who had this specific type of fetish, and we were looking for ways to dovetail our kinks. I think they are really entertaining with a unique twist and would love to publish them within the rules.

I'm happy to share it with a mod prior to publishing if required.

We accept stories with a twist like that so long as all parties are in the know, the R word isn't mentioned anywhere, and everything is resolved by the end of the story. So no cliffhangers in part 1 where people may still think it's non-con.

We wouldn't accept stories where someone may believe they are being abused up front and it's revealed to them afterwards they weren't.

Nor would we accept stories where a third-party person or group of people think they're actually getting to abuse someone.

Howdy, I have a story I’m working on about a cosplayer. Are there any specific rules that would prevent me from referencing that characters she’s dressed up as. Like if she was Sailor Moon, could I actually call it as such?

Yeah, sounds fine to me.

Ah, okay, I wonder if the link box is accidentally covering the post button. I'll refer to the tech people to check smile

Recently, I've been trying to share my latest stories on my home page, both here in Lush, and in your sister site, SS. I set everything up but there doesn't seem to be a way to finalize it, like a post button or something. What am I missing?

Hiya, I presume you mean share the link to them? They're not still the queue for moderation, are they?

Just to clarify the word limit, I've put a minimum in, so please take note. We had a haiku submitted which has unfortunately been returned now, as we have never published these.

Your poems should be between 50 and 500 words.

Jen --

Are we to post offerings here? Or will there a more formal announcement and instructions coming?

Sorry - I've amended my post to make the comp link more obvious. It was kind of hidden.

Love isn't always about those grand gestures. Sometimes it's the small moments that mean the most. A look. A touch. Some simple thing you do for someone that means the world to them

We recently lost one of our long-term members who had pretty much perfected the art of poetry. So as a tribute to him, we're running a poetry contest through to Valentine's Day. Lush has two poetry categories, love and erotic, and it's up to you which one you go for.

Entries should be between 50 and 500 words.

If you need inspiration, look no further than ElliotLacey31's page.

Full comp details here: https://www.lushstories.com/competitions/small-moments

I just found out earlier that Elliot passed away a couple of months ago, aged just 42.

He was one of my first friends on lush. The shy poet with the biggest heart you could find. I know he touched a lot of people's hearts over the years, both with his friendship and with his utterly beautiful poetry.

One of his poems appeared on the front page under the classic section the other week. Seeing it made me smile - it was the first ever piece I gave a Recommended Read to, back when I was a noobie mod.

I'm glad his poems and stories are still here because honestly, they're just fucking beautiful. If you've never read anything of his, have a look. And for all those as gutted by this news as I am, hugs and love to you.

J ❤️

Did I win yet?

Don't make me get my boots out again.

Sorry for the delay on this one, folks. I always have the best intentions of keeping up with stories as they come out, but between work (yes, I have an actual job, lol) and Christmas etc, well, that didn't happen.

Anyway, thank you all for your patience. Some more gracious than others glares at Rachel.

I had a lot of fun reading these and there were some truly outstanding entries. So much so, that we actually had a top 15 that went to the judges, because the quality was so good. There were many more that just missed out, so thank you as always to everyone who entered. I love how the competitions encourage so many writers to get scribbling, and it's always delightful to see the different takes on the theme people come up with.

Without further ado though, the top award goes to WannabeWordsmith, with his sexy shaving story with a twist. Hot stuff, Mr WW, so well done to you on 1st place.

2nd place goes to Canada's favourite boytoy, Lyfbuz, with his deliciously hot illicit encounter on the train home.

And 3rd place goes to Ensorceled, with his delightfully sensual take on flashing.

Huge congrats to all the winners.

But wait... Wasn't there another prize?

I admit, I was chuckling when I saw who came fourth. So drumroll please...

In 4th place, and winner of lyfbuz carrying out sexual favours (to be arranged) for a week, we have RowanThorn, with his extremely hot take on a smoke break in the snow. Rowan, please, please, please report back after your special week together 🤭

Full list of winners is below and I'll be in touch with folks tomorrow re their prizes. Well, except Rowan and Lyf. They can figure the logistics out on their own, lol. My thanks as always to all the judges for their insights. A new competition will be announced shortly.

1. Once In Loyal Tilly’s Kitty by WannebeWordsmith $150

2.  Southbound On The U-Line by Lyfbuz $100

3.  Faith and Joy by Ensorceled $50

I have written a story. It was rejected and sent back to me for editing. I worked on it for quite a long time and finally re-submitted it yesterday. However, I can find it nowhere. Not even te first draft. Where did it go?

I am lushlovely22 and it was my first written story and my first submitted story. Can you help?

Hiya, it's in the queue for moderation. You'll get a message once it's been looked at smile

Just to add, we're not trying to take all the fun and spontaneity out of stories. Consent doesn't need to be explicit before any contact is made, so long as someone ultimately enjoys it.

If however, they're filled with shame or regret afterwards because they've been verbally persuaded against their better judgement, or blackmailed (totally fine as story arcs, by the way), we're probably going to need to see explicit consent before anything happens physically.

Monster/tentacles/mind control all have an element of the fantastical to them, so they might get a bit more leeway than we would with just regular old humans.

People being a bit drunk, or on drugs they've taken themselves is fine, so long as they're not so compromised they don't know what's going on.

Yeah, it was added in a month or so back, as a way of helping manage your reading queue. If you like or comment, it's assumed you've read it, so no need for it to remain in your queue.

And like you say, you can always add it back in for whatever reason if you want to.

I was told by a mod, that one main thing they and the site goes by, is Chicago writing style.

Literally never heard of this.
