Usually various BDSM scenes, mostly spanking and paddling and such. I've rarely experienced that in reality.

I mentioned on another thread that my ex-wife really needed a spanking at times, but the one time I seriously tried it, she didn't like it. Some of her transgressions were not minor ones.

Sometimes I still fantasize about me or someone else doing that to her - but we're both much younger in those reveries. I did imagine one of her recent bossed spanking her, so she would truly be mature in that. I've also thought about the leader of a religious cult she was in and also, well, her own dad. She's much younger in those. Sometimes I picture that she actually likes it, which is pretty implausible.
My ex-wife richly deserved it at times, but the one time I seriously tried it, she hated it. Like two whacks and she was out.

I never thought to ask her to pull a dom act on me. I wonder if she would if she would have gone for it.

Literotica is a thing, as other have mentioned. It is as described, lots of views, very little in way of community.

I started on Literotica first, over two years ago. It's s an old and huge site with probably hundreds of thousands of stories. They allow anonymous non-members to vote and comment, with some wild results and lots of trolls. But you can get thousands, tens of thousands, of views. The Author Hangout forum is the best for community there.

I'm going to try Stories On Line because it has virtually no content restrictions and it's interesting to try a different audience.

Lush has some notable restrictions, like no fan fiction or stories about celebrities allowed. They are sensitive about copyright issues, so pieces of song lyrics, poems by other authors, probably movie dialogue, get removed during verification. Lush also closely proofreads submissions. Literotica is too big and doesn't have the staff for that.

Lush has a lot more story categories too, which can be helpful.
I rarely use autobiographical events because, frankly, much of my real life hasn't been that exciting. Often I will use a small fantasy that becomes the premise for a longer plot. Often, it's a "what if" question.

What would it be like to be set-up on a date with a girl is turns out to be really kinky? What would it be like to be a cab driver who picks up a cock-teasing passenger? (I drove a cab once but that never happened.) What would happen if a college classmate was also a part-time hooker and she offered a deal? What would it be like to be seduced during a job interview by a female manager? (He should have known when the second appointment is on a Sunday evening.)

How to develop the characters is another story, but they are rarely directly based on real people.

The settings, the locations: now those are usually based on real geography and real buildings.
I discovered that many years ago in my teenaged years. It used to be on ABC's Wide World of Sports, among other places.

I must have stumbled into it one day while waiting for something else. These women had the most beautiful strong legs. And they had these little skirts that would go flying up to reveal their really cute panties. My favorite bit was when they would skate backwards and stick their behinds out.

It was just so incredibly sexy. I almost couldn't believe they were getting away with showing this. The weird thing was that I picked up some knowledge of figure skating.

Yes, there is only ever one version of the story on the site, so when it is edited and returns to our queue, it won’t be visible to anyone but story mods and the author.

Views, votes and comments will be retained, as will the original posting date (so it won’t go back to the front page once reverified).

Worth putting in a very brief summary of the changes in the Note to Moderators, e.g., “Fixed a typo, reworded a couple of sentences, added more tags.”

Thank you Clum; that helps a lot.

It will need to be re-verified, so please edit in the Lush Editor. That way a Lush mod can re-verify the story much faster and your story will be back up sooner.

I suppose you can link to other stories if you wish. I haven't taken full advantage of the menu at the top of the editing window. I've only used the link box at the bottom, which allows for one link only. For some reason I tried to link via HTML coding (I think it was in the author note box) and that didn't seem to work. That was a habit I picked up from the other site, which hasn't completely upgraded its older features.
I want to confirm the details, since they may be different from another site I am on.

I assume the edited story goes back for verification before being posted? So I have to through the same process of editing, saving drafts and then submitting the final version? I can't quite picture that the new draft is there at the same time the old version is still in place.

(The other site is a bit irksome in that one has to submit a new file - a replacement file in effect. I had to learn to keep one around case I did want to edit it. But nothing changes until the moderators clear the new version. The readers of course would never notice unless there is an author note at the top of the changed text.)

Are the votes and comments retained? Is it advisable to write a note to the moderators informing them of what is going on?

I hope this is clear. Thank you in advance!

It also becomes a job rather quickly, I should imagine. You have some element of that with camgirls, but they have a lot more leeway to just say to hell with it if they don't feel like performing that day, unless they're one of the rare studio girls, or foolishly trying to make a living of it.

That's exactly why I've never published any of my work for pay. As soon as I consider it, it starts feeling like a job instead of a diversion, and I sour on the whole process.

What's interesting is these amateur sites - they seem to be mostly amateur sites - with a lot of photographs of women of a variety of age ranges. If they are going for exhibitionism or validation or whatever - they seem to be having a whale of a good time doing it. So more power to them. And I'm looking at them, so I have nothing to complain about.

It seems, however, as a man - well, I'm way too old now anyway - but it wouldn't be that appealing to have a lot of women I've never met looking at my photos. I'd rather have women I've actually met, or have a chance of meeting, who were interested in me.

Is must be a gender difference, because there are far more women than men doing this. Now that I think of it, that would explain why there are virtually no cam-guy sites. Of course, the lack of such things may be because women are not interested in looking at them as well as men being adverse to doing them. It's still striking as an example of gender difference.

Well, very few of the girls are using their real names on the sites either. Most aren't using anything even close. They don't get recognized as often as you might think, though. Most of the patrons aren't exactly looking at their faces, after all. They could probably spot their favorite girls' nipples in a crowd of a thousand, but might pass right by her in an airport and not even realize it.

My Baileykins got recognized three times. Once in an airport. Once by the desk attendant at the Bellagio in Vegas. Once by a vendor at a Green Day concert. Fortunately, all three were rather respectful of her — if more than a little awestruck. They only spoke in vague terms about where they knew her from, weren't all up in her space, and didn't drag out the encounter. She gave them all little "codes" to announce who they were in chat, and gave them all a nice, long, bouncy titty show when they showed up in her room.

At least, those are the only times she was sure because they said something. At least a half dozen times, she was fairly certain someone had recognized her, and was afraid to approach her/mention it.

I'm actually more widely known for some gamefaqs I wrote years ago and an add-on I helped code for Invision forums back in the day. Every so often, someone will make the connection and bring those things up here and elsewhere I'm posting.

But, like I said, the motivations to be a camgirl or watch one are as varied as people. I'm just pointing out the most common examples and situations.

Now I'm going to risk looking like both a prude and a hypocrite, but I do feel some ambivalence about all porn. I was going to say that, for most men, the idea of being a porn actor or model is probably better as a fantasy than a reality. A film shoot of any kind requires a lot of - well, it isn't all fun, whether it's porn or any other other kind of movie. The actor knows he's going through the basic routine each time - two kinds of cowgirls, front entry, rear entry, and finally the money shot (which is a topic in itself).

And yeah, the idea of being filmed or photographed - and there are often quite a few crew members there - while naked or engaging in intimate acts; well, it gives me pause, although it obviously doesn't for a lot of other people.

So I'm perhaps a hypocrite because I look at it myself. I can say, well, yeah, but I'm only looking at free stuff, so that doesn't really count. Probably that's a cop-out. And I feel fine about writing about it. I can have another cop-out. Writing about it is not the same as hiring actual people to reenact it.

I know it is what it is. I've actually surprised myself with these musings.

The girls who have either a studio address or a PO Box someone else can pick things up from ( if they're wise ) and have cultivated a following are often sent things as well. Off the top of my head I can think of several expensive lingerie outfits, a leather corset, a chainmail bikini, 8 or 9 nice necklaces/bracelets/ankle bracelets/hood rings that Bailey got over the years. Not to mention half a dozen new toys. They'll send stuff to see her wearing/using it, and after that point, it becomes part of her arsenal. Upgrades to cams, computers, etc. aren't unusual either. Some of the sites even have blind ways for people to order things ( usually toys and lingerie ) where it gets sent to the model by the site. The site naturally profits from directing customers to the sales site.

It's nearly impossible to make a living at it nowadays, but a girl who can pay her bills without it can pick up some nice perks. The money is easy for an exhibitionist with an outgoing personality, it can be done at home whenever they feel like it with a reasonable internet connection, damn near any computer, and even a webcam. They can almost make a living at it, but it's the almost that's the problem. Anxiety about paying the bills is a camgirl's worst enemy.

There is a degree of celebrity to it as well. It can be a thrill to have all these guys turning up every day for you on the site. Getting recognized out in public can be exciting, awkward, creepy, or even dangerous. Kind of a crapshoot there.

Girls in their 30s and 40s have a more specialized audience, but there are a lot more paying customers and fewer freeloaders among them. The freeloaders are all off perving on the 19/20 year olds, and the desperate girls finger-banging in free chat, while the lonely guys with money are often drawn to someone who is even slightly more "in their league". Just being hot isn't enough once they get a little older. They have to cultivate those relationships to keep the money coming in.

Most make the mistake of starting to "give it away" with lots of free peeks when the money slows down because it fills their rooms up. That just fills it up with freeloaders, though. The people willing to open their wallets can't have a decent conversation amidst that cacophony of "get yer kit off" "shoe my u oussy plzzzzz!" and that keeps them from pulling the trigger. The girls who do it infrequently ( or "accidentally" when they end up back in free chat after a private show ) and make the guys work for it do better because the freeloaders move on, and it encourages interaction, which is where the real income potential is.

I probably underestimated the degree to which exhibitionism and the desire for fame/celebrity status has in this, probably because I have so little of it myself. Getting recognized in public seems like a liability. I do want to be noticed for my writing, but that is very different. For one thing, I don't have my real name on either site.

I've been a chatter, a chat admin, and my Baileykins was a camgirl for years. I've been behind the curtain, and I know what those girls are saying when they shut the cam off, as well as what happens in the private shows.

The guys who are spending the money ( as opposed to the people there looking for free peeks ) are often very lonely for one reason or another. What a ( good ) camgirl provides is a pseudo relationship that helps to fill that yawning void. As often as not, those private shows have very little that's sexual about them. It can be hours of simply talking to an attractive woman, which is something they don't expect to ever experience in their real life.

The other thing is guys with kinks that they're afraid to reveal. A good camgirl has all sorts of weird accessories readily at hand to satisfy those. Baby oil. Balloons of every shape, size, and color. A multitude of outfits, heels, etc.

The rest is just guys who want to direct the action. There's probably something in particular that really turns them on, and doesn't show up very often in repetitive professional porn videos or poorly shot/lighted amateur videos.

As to the camgirls, the good ones enjoy the attention, and enjoy fulfilling the needs of the guys ( and a few girls ) who show up in their room. They know it's not a way to make a living, but rather a way to make some extra cash on the side. Unfortunately, a lot of them are trying to make a living of it, for a variety of reasons. They typically burn out quickly in today's environment where there is too much competition and too many sites spreading out the paying customers too thin. Cultivating and maintaining a large enough following to achieve a steady income is nearly impossible, and requires spending most of the day promoting themselves. They're working twelve or more hours a day just to barely get by.

The motivations are as varied as people. Some are desperate. Lost their jobs, or can't find one, or got out of a relationship and find themselves without support in a place far from family, etc. There's always a few who are on drugs, and using it as a means to support their habit. Some are simply using it as a safer alternative to straight up prostitution. Feeds coming out of other countries ( the former Soviet bloc countries in particular are bad about this ) may be either full on forced, or blackmailed into being on cam.

That's just the camgirl sites. It gets even weirder once you start getting into onlyfans, premium snap, etc.

Most girls are finding that the only way to make real money nowadays is to both be on live cam as well as producing custom/kink videos that are available for purchase. The days when you could make $600 a week after taxes just being on cam 6 hours a day are long, long gone. ( As are sites that actually pay models as employees as opposed to independent contractors )

I should have considered the money thing more carefully. Yes, compared to what most regular jobs are like, it must be (or it was) a pretty good deal.

The regular porn industry must attract people for exactly the same reasons. However, and I can't completely verify this, I understand that the women get burned out after a while. Also, they seem to be bad at managing the money they do get. And they age out of it. There is mature porn and granny porn, but the demand must be a lot less.

Probably both cams and porn also do offer a chance for something like fame and glamour. It must be an easier entry compared to regular show business.
I admit, this is my peculiarity perhaps, but I don't get the camgirl thing, either regarding the men who watch them or the women who perform in them.

The point must be that, as opposed to conventional porn (filmed or photographed), the woman is actually "there" and one can actually "talk" to her and maybe get her to do some things on request.

So it's a digital peep show. I never fantasized about peep shows when they did exist, much less patronize them. Anyway, the woman isn't actually there and no one is truly talking to her. The latter can be seen in the endless. meaningless "chat" that is displayed on the site.

Conventional porn has the advantage of not having pretenses about itself. It's a product, and makes no bones about it. (Although more and more of it is free; I guess they're going for advertising revenue.) One doesn't usually have any idea of who the people in it are. There are porn stars, although usually they are under a nom de porn. It anything real comes out about them, it's usually after they have retired and written a tell-all book about it. Of course, there are many amateurs exhibiting themselves, but again there is no pretense of interacting with them.

I also don't understand the women who do these things. They must love the validation it gives them. Somehow having countless (thirsty?) guys praising them and obviously jerking-off about them gives them tingles. As I said, the chat is worse than pointless.

That's my take on it.

A square image is ideal. Dimensions not too important as it will scale to fit.

Max file size is 1MB, so for quality, you probably want the largest dimensions you can manage while keeping it under 1MB.

Thank you, Clum!
For an avatar image, what would be the file size and dimensions of something that would fit well? I do see slight variations in what's actually been used here.

Oh, boy … this is gonna get ranty. Fair warning.

Personally, I have a wide range of attractions. I know what and who I like and what and who I don't like.

What you won’t ever hear out of me is specifically what and who I don’t like.

If you know that I like certain kinds of women, it does not mean I like all women that fit that category.

And to those that have very specific tastes: trust me, I get it.

What I don’t get is your very public, hurtful, and dismissive dislikes.

Do you need to take fucking kindergarten again?

Seriously, just avoid dating and mentioning people who don’t do it for you.

The world does not need to know either (1) your very specific feelings of disgust or (2) your potentially creepy fetishism.

Here are some phrases I never need to hear again in a thousand lifetimes:

And now I’m going to fantasize about the women that do it for me.

And I’m still not telling you.

Well, women, God bless them, do a fair amount of that themselves on dating sites and so forth. Height requirements are common; money requirements even more so.

Usually men don't inquire about a woman's money - unless they're gigolos, and they're usually subtle about it, I think. I did see a "Sugar Mama" site once. Most of the guys on there seemed to be deluding themselves.

Guns and bondage, a winning combination.

Season Hubley is now sixty-nine years old and hasn't made a movie in more than two decades. She used to be married to Kurt Russell. Her original first name was Susan, but I guess that was too dull.
I seem to be pretty flexible on that. I will go for women who have some "chunk" on them, although that is not a requirement. There is an upper limit on that, but I can't easily define it. It probably depends on her other qualities too. I am certainly not adverse to petite or slender women.

I have walked the walk on that; my ex-wife was not a willowy lady. Her weight did vary on times depending on what diet she was on.

The first was Faye Dunaway as Bonnie Parker. The first I saw of her was the Time Magazine cover of December, 1967. The view was from the front though the windshield of a car. There she was, driving the getaway car through a hot Depression afternoon. (I also had a thing for old cars then.)

I tried to find out as much about the movie as I could, although I wouldn't see it for another five years. No matter, there was a ton of publicity about it. It just kept getting better. She also had her own guns and she knew how to use them. Yes, she was a criminal - but Bonnie was smart, competent, cool under pressure, rather witty and brave - her physical courage was impressive. She was also loyal to Clyde, and he in turn did appreciate all of her strong qualities.

So there I was, twelve years old, and I was thinking, "This is my kind of woman!" (I loved her berets too.)

P.S. Dunaway was also very good in her later roles.

I can tell you who the last one was: Lili Taylor.

This was odd for a couple of reasons. First, I was fifty at that point, which is far too old for that kind of thing.

Also, some people think she's a good actress, but I'm not that impressed with her talent. One role where she had some juice was as Valerie Solanas in I Shot Andy Warhol She was particular bad in The Haunting, but the whole movie sucked.

As far as I can tell from interviews and such, she seems very personable as her real self.

Thanks for running that number. Incredible.

Yes, for the money and double the money + she'd be rid of him and get her hands on those oil leases. She'd been caretaker to Power's invalid wife and there'd been a question as to it being murder when the woman died. "Lola" Power's daughter knew it was murder and finally informed "Walter" who then smelled a rat after Stan took up with that bf of Lola's. "Segeti" something or other.

There are several inflation calculation sites on-line. Yes, our cash has been quite devalued over the years.

Thanks for the plot points; I had forgotten most of them. Phyllis was a real piece of work.

And that house: $40k!

He left her up there though.

He wouldn't have been able to live with it, not in the long run with "Keys" standing sentinel as his conscience.

She would've because she'd already murdered.

That would be about $586,000 in today's money. Perhaps upper middle class rather than truly wealthy, but not too shabby.

Was it implied or even stated that she married for the money? It's been a while since I've seen it. The husband is an older guy. If you just go by the age of the actors, Tom Powers has seventeen years on Stanwyck. By contrast, MacMurray is very close in age; about a year younger in fact.

The only bone I have to pick with it, Lake, is "Walter's" apartment door swings out instead of in like every other apartment door I've ever seen. If it swings (in) there is no movie thereafter. They're busted.

That aside it is a masterpiece.

The way the two talk frequently of the "death house" especially "Walter" - they're off the rails but, no longer care.

EGR telling "Walter" he was closer than across the desk from him. "Closer than that, Walter." It's a devastating denouement from a "father" to his lost "son."

I really enjoyed the film The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman in it and liked the soundtrack though i dont know the words Oh yes also with Ann Bancroft as the leading lady

There's an interview with Dustin Hoffman - it's on YouTube - from, the 1980s maybe? He said the he and Mike Nichols were seriously considering a sequel. Ben and Elaine were married, and had three children, I think. The youngest was a sixteen-year-old son. Ben has an affair with his own son's girlfriend. As Hoffman put it, "In effect, Ben become like Mrs. Robinson."

Well, Mrs. Robinson didn't seduce underage people or the friends of her own children. (Ben found Elaine afterwards, didn't he?) That's a huge difference.

In any case, the film never got made.
I guess as a man I can still respond to relevant issues on this forum.

Anyway, I'm so old that what I actually do doesn't matter anymore.

When I write about BDSM, the couples involved are usually switches. It seems more interesting that they take turns, and try to top each other (no pun intended) in the role ideas they come up with. Often the women are more imaginative in that then their partners. Even when the woman plays at being submissive, she's sometimes the one who cooked up the scenario and proposes how it will be done. I have a couple of upcoming series that will emphasize that.

Technically, it's not:

I agree not to post any material which I do not own the copyright to, either in the story / poetry section, or any other parts of the site. This includes text as well as images. I will not use copyrighted images, without the permission of the owner.

But also,

By entering this website, I agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the providers, owners and creators of this website from any and all liability which might arise from viewing or reading the adult content on this website, or for the content which I have uploaded. This clause includes image uploading.

So it's really on individuals. Lush doesn't have the man-power to police that really.

It's like: everybody is doing it, so I will too. And yeah, they are on here, including images from comics and so forth.

Actually, it's probably impossible for an ordinary person to have a non-copyrighted photo of a celebrity unless they, 1. take it themselves (hard to do) or, 2. buy it from something like Getty Images. I think with the latter, if you pay for it, you can do what you want with it.

Since I'm on here, what is the size limit on the forum? Is 600 x 900 pixels too much?
I've never tried self-promotion here before, but lot's of people seem to be doing it.

I'd like to mentioned some of my stories that are "linked" but not into a formal series. They're about a young guy who drives part-time for a New York limo/car service. While doing that he meets some passengers who are lonely but kinky Manhattan divorcées. I especially liked recreating the New York of the 1970s as I remembered it.

Some commenters thought this had really happened to me. Yeah, I wish!
