My series, The Client on the sixth floor, now stands at about 100K words (although those parts aren't all published yet, sorry!)

Punish Me, is about 80K, again, unfinished...

Natural Beauty will probably come in a roughly 20K and that one IS nearly finished!!

One of these days I'll get it done...

okay this is what's coming up, I can't get onto dirty_d's page now - this is a new error (or at least a new manifestation of it), but I wonder if it's helpful to post, with a view to getting to the source of the problem?

I hate this - I can't access my friend's profile pages - I have to scroll back half a dozen times before it will let me access their pages (if it lets me at all)

Just a quick update - I cleared my cache and cookies and reset Firefox - I still get the same problem, again, only with certain users, which does make me wonder if what OMKN said about rogue images/gifs might be on track?

I ran a spyware/malware prog as Nic suggested and that came up with nothing other than some tracking cookies, which are apparently okay...

I installed Chrome (which is what I'm viewing Lush on now). I haven't really been on Lush very much these last few days, but I went to post on a couple of friends' profiles and the same ting is happening again here...

I'm really flummoxed about this....

I remember. It wasn't a story it was a poem. Confession of a Jealous Man. I wasn't going to change the formating. I'm sorry you felt that it was boring. So I said to you then and I'll say it again to you now: I guess it won't be on this site.

Nope, I'm pretty certain it was this one...

I am pretty certain I never said it was boring, but it was challenging to verify.

I'm not like you think I am. And I was talking to my dad because I wanted to get an outside opinion. My girlfriend thinks all my stuff is great so her opinion I can't trust. So I called my dad. He read the same buzz story I read. He said it was good but nothing compared my stories. And that's when he told me I shouldn't post things up for free. It is not helping me any as a writer. That is why called him. To get a point of view outside the situation.
I clearly I don't understand how one person can have so many people licking his dick. Everytime I say something it is like I get 10 people in my face, "he's the greatest.I want to have his baby." I just don't get it. Some guys have all the luck.

You know, when I was a mod, I verified one of your stories. I worked VERY hard to bring it up to standard, made minor corrections to whatever errors I may have noticed at the time and passed it for publication on the site. If I hadn't done so, it would have been bounced back to you. I don't recall any complaints at the time from you.

I can confirm that buz is an excellent mod, a fair mod and generally good guy (not to mention an excellent writer). I do seem to recall you bombing some of his stories after a previous altercation in a thread, along with sprite and saga. I noticed that your comments were unfair and petty.

With regard to a mod liking a title? Well, it would not be rejected simply for that, that's not to say that the verifier might suggest changing it if they thought it might improve your story.

Mods are under no obligation to verify any story they choose not to, so if they didn't like it for whatever reason, they can simply choose not to be the one to verify it (some mods prefer not to verify certain genres or whatever)

Honestly, I think you're being very unfair to staff (including myself in the past) who donate their time to help the site and the authors.

I also think that if you can find someone who's willing to pay for your stories, then you should do that, however, lush is an excellent, free test market for any aspiring author and as a writer myself, I'm very grateful for the opportunity to do that.
I wasn't offended by dirty talk, but when a lover called me by his ex's name, I was a bit offended by that :s
This problem seems to be getting worse, with more and more profiles not loading, just jumping to pages as shown above...

This has happened before on profiles - I think that time it was down to rogue hot linked gifs from some dodgy website.

Switch to chrome and see if that helps

( I had a feeling you might have a clue!)

I may do that, or just switch back to safari (I don't have chrome installed)

Figured I should post it here in case it's a Lush issue or other people are having the same problem... I should probably clear my cache and all that good stuff too...
I'm having problems with Lush when browsing on my macbook via Firefox. It's just started these last couple of days and what happens is this:

I go to click on a friend's profile and the page begins to load but then it will suddenly open on a different page.

This is what I got when I clicked onto MissyLuvsYa's page

And when I click on Nikki703's page

I only get this problem when I'm on Lush and it only seems to happen on a few profiles, not everyone's and not any other pages (so far) like stories or forums or timeline...

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!!

EDIT: I should point out that these rogue appearing pages are not ones that I've ever seen before, so it's not like they can have come from my browser history or anything like that...

you can refer to a movie, you simply can't use the characters or the setting, if it's iconic. for instance, you could have your characters talking about seeing the Movie, Star Wars, but you can't use Han Solo as a character or put them aboard the USS Enterprise (that's a Star Wars ship, i mean yacht, right?)

She already did lol

I'm sipping a delicious, rich Brooklyn Java...

One of the nicest cups I've had in ages and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Even better as it was a gift from a special someone

Several of the reasons why I believe woman are better are at cunnilingus than men are. Not all of course but most! Just sayin' ! HAHA

You always say that!!

I SO can't wait for you to come over to Scotland to give that "Oral Instruction" class you keep promising me!!

I've covered this before, the oral sex thing, but generally speaking, I find that guys are too rough and ready when handling the clit (that is assuming they're even aware of its existence in the first place, lol)

When masturbating, I can handle very gentle direct stimulation, or if it's oral and he GENTLY sucks it between his lips and flicks it with his tongue, well, I like that BUT my tolerance level is pretty low, even if I'm highly aroused. Guys tend to be too impatient for me - it often takes me a long time to even make myself come, so I really need a patient and attentive lover...

I prefer to rub at the base of my clit, thereby stimulating indirectly as the hood moves up and down.

In saying that, if the guy gets it right and pays close attention to my body language and the noises I'm making, I can have multiple orgasms - this didn't happen when I was younger, but maybe the lovers I've chosen have been more talented? I dunno...

Of course, it's true to say that I am very open to long hours of experimentation... Rrrrrrrrr

They're all poems, albeit they don't fall into the category of love poems, which is why I don't post them. I asked a mod, they suggested I put them here. *Shrugs* Simple as that.

As for why I don't break up "What the Blind Ignore" into smaller pieces, it's all one poem, and I don't really know where the division of stanzas would work well.

The I think that you have to work on that, experiment, improve your craft...

I'd venture that only a writer with a dedicated following would get their readers to pay attention to such a large block of words.

It would read and flow so much better if it was split into verses, even if they were rough and uneven. I think it would improve it greatly.

You've obviously put a lot of thought into it thus far. The thoughts and ideas are interesting. A bit more work, some critical edits and you could have a really good read there.
Oh! It Burns!

1. What first inspired you to write this particular story?

I've never made a secret of the fact that I'm a fan of a man in a kilt. I thought that I'd like to put that into a story somewhere, sometime. The opportunity never really arose, but I began to toy with the idea of a poem or ballad, in my mind.

2. How did you come up with these characters?

It was well over a year ago and I was chatting with a friend and the idea for a sexy poem came to mind, but written in Scot's English. I've always been a fan of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns and a friend put me onto the fact that he used to write dirty, saucy poems as well - I genuinely think that he would have approved of this and would probably be on Lush, were he alive today.

3. How does it differ from some of your other stories?

Well, I was worried that people wouldn't understand it, so I took a long time, going back to it, working on it and reading it aloud - I figured that it really had to go out with an audio and I usually record those only after a story has been approved. This time I got the audio attached before it went onto the front page because I didn't it to posted without it.

4. What was the most challenging thing about writing this piece?

It wasn't the writing that was challenging, rather my worries about how it would be received by the Lush readers (if it even got approved in the first place!! I put in an "English" translation underneath - not really because I had to, but because I thought that it would be a funny contrast to the broad dialect of the poem) I was SO nervous about this one!!!

5. Anything else you want to tell us about it?

Yes, the fact that I've been suffering the most awful writer's block and wanted to post something, and then OMKN said something in a forum about reading a poem of mine in a Glasgow accent, finally gave me the guts to post this. I honestly had no clue what people would make of it but I've had some lovely feedback so far and it's certainly something a wee bit different, not just for me, but for Lush too...

It really was just a bit of fun and so far, people seem to be seeing it that way!

Hmmm.... okay got him. No that's not right. He sounds kind of vaguely Scottish more than anything.

Then at times he doesn't sound like anywhere. That film looks good though!

He doesn't sound Scottish! He sounds like the "comedian" Michael mackintyre lol
But I think his accent is good...
