I always wished I could play an instrument... Not that I've ever really tried, I guess I could if I wanted to...

(Ha ha, I was so tempted to say I want to play the organ lol)

Whoa whoa whoa. If there's a jerk off contest, none of you other jokes have a shot. No pun intended. I'll win this, hands down. And up. And down.

Stop being such a wanker, LM!

I agree!

She may just need to get used to the various settings, and discover which setting and vibration feels best.

Gotta get that Gigi 2!

I have a Gigi 2 and yes, I wholeheartedly encourage you to get one too!!!
You could try a little role play? Maybe talk about some fantasies...

You could download some audios from lush and listen to them on the drive and then discuss what you liked about them, talk about what you would do...

(You're welcome to use any of my audios lol)
I'm still naively optimistic and hopeful and can be a bit impulsive
Lelo? Pfft, for all the muscular relief it brings, I might as well stick it up my arse!

Seriously though, OP, your partner would do well to persevere with it. A new sex toy is kind of like a new lover. You need to get used to them, play with them, find what works...

I'm sure she'll be happy with it, eventually...

My lelos are the best vibes I've ever had and I doubt I'd go anywhere else now...
I hadn't heard of 'butterface' until this thread - the phrase I was familiar with was BOBFOC - Body off Baywatch, Face off Crimewatch...

People make sweeping generalisations all the time, snap judgments, decisions based upon experience or desire - the OP is entitled to his "fetish" and who are we to judge? Sometimes I think that these phrases are really just abbreviations that help us to express how we feel, without having to go into great detail about what they are - for example, I might say that I like a guy who looks hispanic - you would know that in saying that, what I meant was tanned skin, dark eyes and hair, without me having to explain that fully. Or Nordic might be your thing - tall, fair, pale eyes - it doesn't mean that everyone looks that way, but we understand what they mean by that.

So, butterface/buthisface simply lets us know that the OP prefers someone with a great body, but a less attractive (to him) face - I do think that his initial example was rather extreme, but it certainly raised some hackles while getting his point across, didn't it? Maybe he has issues about his own looks - would be scared to "punch above his weight" looks wise - in making a choice for someone who would be considered less attractive than him, perhaps he thinks he would be guaranteeing her faithfulness to him - that she would be his and not stray, that no man would want her? Of course, I believe that DD has posted about this in some detail (and artiiculated it WAY better than I ever could) in other threads...

Sure, this thread descended into a bit of a mud-slinging match, which is a pity, because it's actually quite an interesting premise that could have (or perhaps still could) have led to an interesting and serious debate about the things we like...

It's not a fetish by any means, but to give you an example, I think it's adorable when people have their two top incisors a little lower than the rest (I don't mean like rabbit teeth or anything lol, that would be a fetish all on its own hahah) - just something that I notice and think is cute as fuck. Dimples, I LOVE dimples when someone smiles... Sooooo adorable!! And while neither of these things are necessary in a potential partner, I do notice them and like them....

Anyway, all I really have to add to the debate is, thank goodness we all have our own specific tastes - otherwise some of us would never find a partner...

Vive la difference!

This.

It's a very common term - especially among guys and lockerroom talk. It's not typically meant when taken to this extreme. Usually, as LM mentioned, it refers to a girl with a hot body but a mediocre face. Yes, it's crass at the heart of it, but it does get used and the reference isn't that uncommon.

This feels more like a disfigurement fetish (if there is such a thing). Like I've heard of amputee porn and wheelchair porn etc, so maybe this is a legit fetish among certain circles. I don't get it, but whatever floats your fantasy boat, I guess.

Boxing Helena, Crash?
I used to drink in this pub. Hoping that my friends and everyone else are okay.

Listening to the eyewitness reports on the news, I am so proud of Glasgow tonight. Puts me in mind of the foiled terrorist attempt here some years ago - (be clear that I do NOT think this was a terrorist thing in Glasgow tonight, and it looks as though some heroic piloting may have saved lives)

But, in true Glasgow fashion, a gemme luggage handler at Glasgow airport dragged one of the terrorists from his car and gave him a kicking... He was hailed as a hero and kind of epitomises the place for me...

Billy Connelly pays him a nice wee tribute...

I'm so proud of my city and its inhabitants tonight... smile

Hoping no one has been seriously hurt.
I bought two on the same day: embarrassment, by madness and stand and deliver, by Adam and the ants
My independence. Sitting in my new place, listening to music, random chatting and feeling so sleepy that I know I'm gonna be well rested...
Was feeling decidedly peckish, looked in the fridge and am now dipping celery into hummus... Feels kinda healthy... Win win
I'm spending the day at my old house, with my ex and the kids... Last Christmas together, so may be bittersweet, but hopefully will just be fun...
I made salmon fillets, baked in a little butter with fresh herbs and lime. Served with baby leaf rocket salad with peppers, tomatoes and corn, on egg spätzle

Cookie dough ice cream for dessert smile

You can just use SHIFT+RETURN to insert a line break (at least, that's what I do and it seems to work)

No. If psychic phenomenons really existed, they would have been studied at least a bit by science and people wouldn't need to 'believe' in them, they would simply acknowledge them as a reality.

They have been studied, extensively! People have been trying since the 1800s to define and harness: sixth sense, psychic phenomenon, universal conscience and all manner of paranormal abilities...

Parapsychology is studied in numerous countries throughout the world and has been for a very long time. There are quite famous incidences of "the powers that be" conducting research and experiments to try and find a way to turn such things into weapons or just to generally load the deck in their favour. (I mean like the CIA, Ministry of Defence et al)

This link is quite interesting, but a google search brings up some really fascinating stuff, if you're interested:

I really dislike the use of such things for pure entertainment (I mean the whole talking to dead relatives stuff, on platform/stage) and I feel that it can really preys on the vulnerable, however, I have no doubt of its existence.

People have already made excellent points about cold reading. One of the best people to use this to his advantage and expose the fakers is Derren Brown (I actually don't like him much, but I very much admire his talent at what he does - He has done some truly amazing stuff over the years)

I'd really urge you to check out some of his stuff - I guarantee your mind will be blown
