Ok so about flowers. I got up bright and early to go run my errands today. First of which was to get said flowers and get them delivered before the flower stores closed. So I go to my usual flower shop and they are closed on Sunday. I didn't worry because I live in a town of 85,000 people there has got to be more flower shops. So I head down through the commercial district and pass shop after shop full of wonderful looking flowers.... ALL closed on Sundays. Not having a google search handy ( he he ) I went to a gas station and checked out the phone book for any flower shop open today. None of the full page ads had hours of service. So I start calling them one by one and get the same response to each call. Closed on Sunday.
Finally I called my normal flower shop in the hopes that I could get the owner to come out for me and just put together an arrangement I had been working on. Luckily I know him well but of course he was out of town this week. However their answering service also informed me that they now had a small shop in the hospital that was open on Sundays.
So I get to the hospital and went in thinking that actually had flowers there to arrange like they did at the normal shop. Nope pre arranged only and from the looks of the prearranged flowers I could tell the quality of help at my normal store was slipping. In the end I bought 2 different arranged sets and then had the one and only florist there help me change them so they ended up looking decent.
3 red carnations and a red vase -- $39
2 tall purple thingys that looked cool behind them -- $20
Card -- $6
Various green stuff for around the flowers -- $10
Purple ribbon -- $4
Paying 80 bucks for a set of flowers when I could have got a dozen roses for 30. Then got getting a kiss from the florists after they were done fucking me ---- Priceless
But I am sure she will like it regardless. When I left it for her at work for when she comes in all the other girls did.
