I'm with you on this. As cool in many ways as it would be to see remakes of some of the classics, they'd change them so much, there would be no point. Adding car chases, or fighting, or a love scene or showing tits for no reason, just to make the movie more edgier.
If they could make it pretty much exactly as it was made the first time, just with new actors, that would be wicked. I mean, look at Willy Wonka vs Charlie and the chocolate factory. I know they're meant to be different, but my god, so horrible. I love Johnny Depp, but that film was just a big fat no.
