I created Purdy with a singular goal—to carve out a space away from the noise of the world, away from pressures and expectations, where I could let my imagination soar and enjoy creating a story I’m proud of.

Know whenever you see me publish, I’ve accomplished that goal.

Looking at statistics can mess with my mind, so I don’t do it or have a friends list. As posted on my profile, all are free to reach out to me.

There’s one forum where I keep track of the categories because I’m working toward the Prolific Writer badge, but it’s just for fun. No pressure or timeline to get there. It’s super fun for me to really let my imagination loose and try to create a different type of story in a category.

I’m working on my favorite solo story thus far—a mermaid tale. I hope to give you a beautiful story with a unique feel and check off the fantasy category, too. Should be ready to submit in a week or so. 😊

Is it the preference of admin and mods that any story of the supernatural be published in that category? Or may I publish my comp entry with a supernatural core, but containing the comp-required BDSM elements in the BDSM category?

Hello there! I’m a little confused now. I have a series called “Dirty Little Secrets” in which each story is unrelated to the others in character and story except for they all have a secret within them. I currently have all different lengths linked from a micro to a flash to longer ones in seduction and money categories. Is that okay? May I continue along this path?

Also, one of my best stories came about when a mod (WannabeWordsmith) rejected my story and encouraged me to develop it more, and I took his notes and reworked the story. No one likes to be rejected, but it has always improved my story if I follow return comments and rework the story.
