Good morning, good afternoon, good evening all!

It is time for a strong cup of coffee. I slept for five hours last night and feel like a new man.

Today will be the last game for one of the best soccer players in a generation, Philip Lahm. Captain of the German National team and Bayern, he has won all there is to win and will spend more time on his charities. Mia San Mia!

I have a date tomorrow, for which I need to prepare today. Panna cotta to be made, picnic basket packed, and food and wine arranged. Who knows, I could get lucky...

I really enjoyed reading all the responses on the famous deceased women ploy. Really great takes on those and interesting insights into this bunch of reprobates. I am impressed withthe collected knowledge here. Let me know when you are ready for another question
Greets all!

I am punchy from no sleep. Summer just came to Southern California. Warm to hot depending upon where you are. Work was tough and writing was even more so.

I'd love a Hannah. It looks like I have a lot of reading and listening lined up.

Any wonderful plans for the weekend?
Coffee please. Seems like a very short night and not in that good way.

I hope to get some writing done today.

Me, I wrote: Okay, the big news is that the front page of,Stories Space, features some stories by Rumplators. Reg has contributed a couple of lyrical pieces in his 'Wandering' series, Laura's post is a must-read that features her boobs, and, last but least, a story by your beloved barkeep, using the clever pseudonym of 'Rumple deWriter, titled,

Rump, thanks so much for the pimping of my little tales on the small site. I write dialogue heavy work with little descriptive prose. Adding that description is why I struggle to finish anything for this site. Erotica without description is a bit underwhelming. But I have a couple pieces coming.

I'd also give a shout out to Laura, Ping, and you to your tales. Very good. I need to head over and give my comments.

But first, I would like a stiff drink. As Laura is going for Old Charter, I should have some as well. Mine straight up please. I need to catch up on the new publishing here (something I can't do at work) Laura, you're up.

I'll also do a shot for my old acquaintance, Chris Cornell. RIP big guy!
Coffee me please.

I slept through the night for a change. So many good choices of famous deceased women put forward.

Interestingly, in terms of famous women who happen to be women writers, I was going to mention her mother, Mary Wollstonecraft.

An extraordinary woman and a late 18th-century feminist who wrote A Vindication of the Rights of Woman (1792) amongst many other things.

Her fairly short life is so fascinating, that it's difficult to choose a short example. But maybe being so interested in the French Revolution (especially in terms of women's rights) that she decided to live in Paris during the thick of it might count as a good one!

Mary Wollstonecraft was quite the woman. I knew her story, but never read any of her work.

Good choice, I wish I had thought of it.
I toyed with naming Shelley, but in truth I've only read "The Modern Prometheous."
Damn. Burquette beat me to Harriette Tubman - my favorite. Elizabeth I - ruling well in what was typically thought of as a male domain. (Yes, I know there were female rulers before her)

Okay, if another and not to repeat anyone elses:

Marie Curie - remarkable brain
Mary Cassot - underrated impressionist artist
Willa Cather - I like her writing. She could be the first quintessntial American woman author.
I haven't and wouldn't pay for sex. Just not for me

However, with appropriate safeguards (to protect against abuse, trafficking, underage, and other reprehensible behaviors) I would support legalization and regulation of prostitution in its various forms.

For her (the woman in the video), she has found a novel way of making money. As there seems to be a certain segment of the male population who believe that there are lots of people who want to see their dick, she is likely to make money. Capitalism in action, unfortunately.
A second cup of coffee would be great. A little something in it wouldn't be amiss.

Sinuses suck. I'd been doing really well for several years now - Prophylactively taking Claratin and Flonase. Today sucks.

You're welcome, my dear. Have your namesake drink on me.

And I'll have a coffee. Straight today. Like oceanrunner, I'm nursing a headache.

We must be passing something around. I have a sinus infection and the resulting headache. It made for a bad night.

May I have a coffee please?

I was thinking about what Rumple said. I think we could liven up the place. This is an educated, intelligent, and articulate group of people. Posing an interesting but not terribly contentious question to the group can spark interesting discussions. At work, I often have to host dinners for colleagues and other team members. I have gambits for ice breaking activities.

I pose to you, "Who is your favorite deceased woman in history and why?"
Buz, the trip sounds fun. I'll join you for a Jack Daniels but hold the coke.

Crab Cakes are up. Grab one while they are hot. in the best traditions of Rumple's bar, there are cigarette ashes in the oil the crab cakes were cooked in.

Read the story and loved it. I could add my "R' to it.

I'd love a beer while cooking. Crab cake sliders will be coming up. Now to get the skillet hot. Did anyone pay the gas bill?
Cooking bar treats for happy hour tonight. Could use a lemonade to tide me over.

Anxiously awaiting with Seeker, Burquette's story. I don't pace but more lurk in doorways, furtively glancing around?
Morning all.

I'd love some coffee. Maybe slip a little something into it. It'll be a long day at work again.

Sorry to hear that Reg. I'm buying whatever you are drinking, for as long as you are drinking (and as long as it's Safeway Select bourbon), and matching you shot for shot.

I think smoked ham and jalepeno havarti cheese sandwiches, on homemade bread, would be delish!

A great sandwich coming right up! I am sure you can drink me under the table; but I'll do my best to make you work for it.
Do I like it when a woman wears lingerie?

Abso-fucking-lutely! You get to admire her and then, if you're lucky you can take all or some of it off. A prelude to better things.

But, but, but the Reg-unit is irreplaceable...at least around here. sad

(slides over a mug of Bertha's best and several doughnut holes...but they're on a napkin, not in the coffee, honest)

Hey I am being asked to leave work, but I am not leaving here. Besides, with more time I can cook for you guys more. Any requests?

I'd love a stiff drink for happy hour.
I'd love a big cup of coffee and a dough-god hole.

Today, my staff and I start preparing documentation for our replacements. I need to dial down my sarcasm for the day.
Verbal congrats on th RR.

I have a neighbor that is a JW. She is very nice and hasn't prostlytized.

Telemarketers I brush off quickly or tell them I am only the burgler. People at the door by my asking if they would like to hear about satanism. I might alo try to convert them to my First Church of Appliantology (better living through every modern convenience).

I'd love a Hannah
In honor of Mothers' Day and all things Lush, everyone, please have some Black Forest Ham. There is bread, bagels, butter, and cheese to go with it.

A little something for your coffee perhaps?
