I'm like DD, I like the TV if for no other reason than having another voice in my apartment. I use both internet and tv as background info. I won my school's public speaking contest in grade six, and have enjoyed every opportunity to speak ever since. I also had speaking parts in church Christmas plays from a very young age. (maybe 5 or 6) Despite being completely comfortable in front of a crowd, I have found that if I do not properly prepare what I want to say, then I tend to stutter, or stumble over my words a little.
