Damn Favre. All he had to do was not throw a pick, and I was good.

WMM, I believe your wish two months ago was a holodeck. I'll stick with my wish from back then.

Spoilsport.

That was three months ago, Jeb. Don't you want to get laid again?

Says the guy who is here as much as me. A good memory, unspoiled by a large amount of alcohol consumption, can actually be an asset in getting laid. That is if you actually care about the woman.
I've been waiting for a while for someone to post this video on youtube, so I could play it here. I find this an incredibly inspiring video, and a song that sends chills down my spine every time I listen to it. It came on the radio as I was encouraging a friend of mine to get in to politics. That seems fitting, because if anyone can, she has the power to change the world. Sorry about the sound quality, who ever posted this had the volume settings to high when they recorded it. There is a version of the song on youtube from his record label EMI, but for some reason, it's not the actual music video, and it's embed disabled. If you like the song, check it out.

Johnny Reid- Today I'm Gonna Try and Change the World

Loved this song, since I heard it on the movie Stranger than Fiction. Great Post!
Eagles- Desperado A haunting song that I've always liked, and seems to mean more to me as time goes by.

And yes, this is a video by a tribute band because I couldn't find a good one of the original band.

Queen:
The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

My bad. I could say I was paraphrasing to fit this situation, but that wasn't the case. For some reason I remembered it as "he" not "she."
Responding so vehemently that it seems you are personally offended reminds us of what Shakespeare said, "me thinks he doth protest too much." People certainly have the right to disagree with the writer's statement, but if someone doesn't resemble the person described in the article, her definition of a "nice guy," what does it matter how she labels that particular type of guy?

Most women do not like those particular attributes, but it should be fairly obvious that someone can still be a nice guy without all or any of those traits, and women do like nice guys who don't have those traits. If that is as obvious as I think it is, then anyone who gets offended by her statement about a very specific, well defined group of people appears to not be comfortable or confident in who they are, whether or not that is the actual reality.
Guys, you are just reinforcing the writer's point if you are so insecure that an article gets you this worked up. Not sure who said it, but "opinions are like assholes, everyone has them." Just because it's in print doesn't mean it applies to you directly or to anyone at all for that matter. Some people here think I'm a good guy, some think I'm an obsessive creep, and others know I'm both. lol. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I know who I am, and what I stand for, and that's all that matters.

this is me ..... damn KOLB!!!

Do you think "Corn of Kolb" is tradeable?

The Bills could use him. I still think he has potential. And the Eagles could take one of the 3 starting caliber running backs the Bills have.
A little change of pace from one of the whitest kids in the playground. lol. Hypnotize from Notorious B.I.G.

Hey everyone,
I have a question. I made my picks for this week. On the side of you sheet you get an X or a check mark. Check mark means you chose the right team, right? X means you did not, right? There are two games I chose correctly and they have X marks by them. Can someone explain what that means? I am confused.
Deb.

Baltimore and New England both won, but they did not beat the spread. New England needed to win by more than 14 for that selection to be right, and Baltimore had to win by more than 10.5.
Anybody remember why I took the Giants over the Titans? I don't even like the Giants. lol.

Also Jaymal can't enter because he already won a comp. There's a waiting period.

The contest he won closed April 16th, so by my count October 16th would be 6 months from then. Since this contest doesn't close until after that, why isn't he eligible? Not trying to be an ass, just trying to understand how the rule is applied.

Why don't you write your own story jeb and I'll talk to the boss about the time limit. 'K?

I haven't written any stories since December, although I waited a long time to post those. Like I said previously, I have no intention of entering the competition. I'm a curious person, I like understanding how things work. I saw something I didn't understand, and asked for clarification.

I'm sure the rest of the writers are happy that Jaymal posted his story already.(Gabrielle and the Devil) I look forward to reading all the submissions, but I don't think I will be competing myself.

There are some email viruses that will send emails to everyone in your address book as though it was coming from you.

I have a few friends with that problem as well. I've never had the spam that was sent to me from my account, but I have had quite a few recently that have "re:______" in the subject line. It's a good ploy, but luckily I don't send enough emails to think that these are responses to emails I don't remember sending.
In his second season as a starting quarterback for the Chiefs, how much will Matt Cassel's performance this year affect the opinion of Tom Brady? I've always felt that Tom Brady's success was more a product of the team, and system he plays in, than his talent. Yes, he is a good quarterback, but no, I don't think he is a great quarterback, and I think Matt Cassel is proof of that. In 2008 he put up good numbers for the Patriots, going 11-5 and just missing the playoffs. When Brady came back, Cassel was traded to Kansas City, and has not looked like the same quarterback since. So, if you put Brady on the Chiefs, the Raiders, or any other rebuilding team would he still be a pro bowl quarterback? I don't think he would.
It's a long season, that was only week one. You gotta take it one game at a time, and give it 110%. Any other cliche you want to include. lol. By the way, does anyone know what news came out that made the Jags-Chargers game go from Off(0) to the Chargers being an 8 point favourite?
Well, at half time in the Chargers vs Cheifs game, it looks like I'm setting myself up for a dramatic comeback in the coming weeks. lol.

[I think the guy wouldnt have anything to worry about. The whole world knows that your wife tried to kill you, so she knows she couldnt do it again, she would be arrested in a matter of seconds if the guy got even a cold.

That's just what she wants you to believe. It's the perfect excuse. So no, I would not trust her. Forgive her, maybe. Wouldn't be the first person who had that idea. lol.

Hey I wanna know why I picked the bears to win and then its showing that I dont get my point? WTF???

We're playing by the points spread. If they had made the two point convert you, like me, would have won.

Moral of the story: Don't trust Xuani when she says the Bears will be good this year. Although with my luck, if I had switched to the Lions like I thought about doing, the Bears would have made the convert. My biggest shocker so far has to be the 49ers-Seahawks game. Is Seattle back, or are the niners just that bad?
Anybody else find it odd that Xuani talked all that smack, and now is on "vacation" this weekend so she doesn't have to hear it when we smoke her ass?

Jebru is the smartest guy I know.

But sadly, that has nothing to do with the thread, so she deleted it.

As for me, I haven't seen the movie, so I have nothing to say, just like the quote.
A little anti war/political song. Seems appropriate given the discussions around here lately. Barry McGuire, Eve of Destruction.

What are the chances? First game was a push. See if we get any more of them this weekend, could be 4 more if I counted right. But the odds of that are very slim. Can't believe Hartley missed two field goals. And bad. The Superdome is a closed dome stadium, so he can't even blame it on the wind.
