Wendy’s chili is a meatless mix that’s a ‘just add water and heat’ deal. They pre-cook burgers for service and put them in a warmer. Leftover burgers are chopped and added to the chili

Honestly it’s efficient and ain’t a bad chili at all for the price. That being said I have not had it in years so my info may be old.

Where else in the world does this kind of shit occur on a frequent basis? A M E R I C A leads by a fair margin.

It’s not the first time a Christian boarding school in Missouri has come under fire for alleged bad behavior. In the past several years, there have been investigations into the “Circle of Hope Girls’ Ranch and Boarding School” and Agape Boarding School in the same state.

A lot of this happens because religious boarding schools in Missouri are largely unregulated, relying on their religious label to win the trust of unsuspecting families. These facilities assure parents their troublesome teenagers will receive a much-needed, faith-based rehabilitation if they simply hand over custody and pay a hefty fee. Instead of making things better, though, the Christian ranches often become a hotbed of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse that leave the kids far worse off than when they entered.

Religious boarding schools…

I can go into this for hours of the retched history of these colonial tools in the US. There’s a long history of child trafficking and abuse in these things, but it all really starts with their government funded inception to erase the indigenous cultures in America’s cultural genocide of the indigenous people.

The whole concept of ‘kill the Indian, save the man’ made it illegal not to send your indigenous children to these places. Children were not allowed to stay with their parents and learn of their families practices. Instead they were sent to packed boarding schools that taught them whiteness and beat the indigenous teachings out of them. This went on in full swing up until the 1970’s. There are survivors today who deal with the ramifications of the abuse. I read one particularly horrific story of a nun hitting a seven year old so hard she snapped his neck. The students had to carry on through the meal, stepping over his body.

Children were sold off and never returned to their homes frequently. Tens of thousands of children went missing and were never seen again. And when all the information came out practically no charges or official investigations were done. With plenty of clergy alive who had participated in and covered up the abuses, the government never filed charges. In fact they were frequently inspected by the government who were more interested in stamping out the cultures of the children than their safety.

Religious boarding schools were and are hotbeds of child abuse.

My eight year old wanted to race last week. Absolutely wiped the floor with him. Dad don’t go easy.

Do you enjoy an occasional petty win?

I got that but it was tied to some sort of group message (which I didn’t even know you could do) that seemed to be an advertising spam bot. I deleted that message and it cleared everything out.

Similar expressions are used here in the Netherlands, only here football refers to actual football, the game where the ball is an actual ball and is played with one's foot.

Is that the one where you grab your shin and roll around till the stripy gentlemen tells everyone else to stop being mean?

No, really full of propaganda and useless shit. George Washington’s campaign cherry tree story and mathematical proofs are equally useless in my day to day life.

But lord knows they never showed us how to file your taxes.

What was your least favorite subject in school?

Tonight I’m feeling strongly for her sitting in my lap, facing away.

How often does your favorite sex position change?

I’m from Ohio and grew up next to farm country so yeah… I recognize it’s not common. But I think saying 8.5 miles would be even easier to conceptualize that 150 fields end to end.

Just a fun place to post uniquely American headlines.

Such as measuring your wildfires in Texas by football fields consumed per minute. Or FFPM’s I guess.

Lol, that quick rollback. "We meant discounts all along. Please stop flaming us."

Maybe someone finally convinced the board members that telling customers they need to pay a premium price to eat at dinner isn't an appealing business model for consumers.

Go to Wendy’s drive through. Get a frosty. Go to the McDonald’s drive through. Get the fries. Dip the fries into the frosty.

It tastes so good because it’s so naughty.

You know what’s really messed up? $6.25 is lowballing the Wendy’s menu.

Wendy’s, who is perpetually struggling to maintain a customer base in a crowded fast food field, is experimenting with adding surge pricing to their busiest times. So eating at, say dinner time, will now cost you extra money.

As a note McDonalds has already played around with this and found it made customers fucking livid. Depending on how the bills and display board are set up it’s also untested legal grounds.

Fast food has been actually doing poorly in recent years. Profit margins are shrinking as smaller and higher quality businesses are able to grab a larger market share without having to rely on the huge amount of staffing some chains need to maintain.

And this solution seems poised to anger customers and a work force that’s increasingly willing to leave. Do you want to get screamed at as an hourly employee because corporate jacked prices on a customer? When two people have the same order minutes apart and one is getting charged more.

And if it weren’t already obvious, surge pricing will not come with discounts for off-peak hours.

There’s a lot of overlap in those.

To get fun from a subject, you have to have a basic understanding of it.

Believe me when I say that humanity has proven this most untrue.

As this thread gets exponentially bigger with 6 people arguing against one barely comprehensible person citing religion, I remind you that you don’t have to engage.

The clowns can’t bother you if you don’t go to the circus.

In the sense that I would love to see this outdated vestige of capitalism fall, yes. In the sense that I give a damn about their personal lives, no. Inbred leeches.

Who’s your favorite civil rights leader?

And what is your overall opinion on Abortion sir?

Simple, it doesn’t matter what my opinion is. It’s not my body and not my right to decide about someone else’s body. Ultimately the choice should stay in the hands of the woman, and unfortunately young girls who will ultimately be the ones carrying the child to term.

Also there’s an abortion recipe in the Bible, and as it says little to nothing else on the subject it’s not even a religious issue.

Sounds lame, but chores. I like catching up and getting the house back up how I like. I also enjoy some lazy time spent daydreaming and writing.

What is your favorite and least favorite chore?

Hanging by the skin of my teeth, the inevitable fall of a top heavy economy is my retirement plan.

Hamburger or steak?

Does that mean that from the fetus stage women are receiving child support?

Of course not! When we say a fetus is a person we mean the government can control a pregnant woman’s body. Not that we’ll provide support to them!

Honestly the legal ramifications of this ruling is insane. Questions like, shouldn’t my fetus need a social security number, can I claim them as a dependent, does conceiving in the US qualify an unborn child for US citizenship?

Lots of others but that’s a surface level line of questioning.

Sans the dumb flag, I got my kid these shoes when he was a toddler. Cost me 19.95 and they lit up.

Code Monkey. Only my fellow computer geeks (oh that’s another one) can call me a code monkey. smile

It’s not even his money. He’ll appeal for years and file bankruptcy to avoid debts (as he has 7 times before). If only government fines against a business were enforced like a student loan. 17 year old kid signs a contract and it’s a lifetime inescapable debt. A company with an army of accountants, lawyers, and rich assholes violates the law and they can file away their problems and reform the next week.

The fund raising by Trump is especially funny because that’s going straight into his pocket.
