Which is precisely what you would need in place before trying to demand age restrictions on web sites.

Even if you did have drivers license verification and let’s say it was secure (big assumption there) what’s to stop a kid from grabbing his Dad’s wallet and getting his name/number and any info that needs inputted. In real life when you are carded they can look at your face and the license.

Digitally what do they expect? That you’ll sit for a face scan? It’s just so easy to exploit in so many ways. The government would need to ground up build a digital age authentication system that outside websites would use. And then you have issues with government tracking very embarrassing and private data such as what sites you are using your digital ID on.

It’s a mess the government has put off far too long to make any elegant solution for.

Age verification on porn sites is something we need but is tough to implement. Honestly we don’t need a 12 year old surfing porn sites with no context.

That being said it’s also nearly impossible to set it up without privacy issues being fundamentally questioned. So I agree with these verifications in spirit but there’s no great framework with how to make it work.

https://www.citizensforethics.org/reports-investigations/crew-investigations/gop-commissioners-have-single-handedly-blocked-fec-action-against-trump-29-times/

Trump is batting 1000% - the FEC says he can do whatever he wants, no matter how 'unethical or illegal'. The Republicans in charge at the FEC are protecting their interests and not the public welfare.

I wish “bipartisan” meant 6 unaffiliated instead of 3 republicans and 3 democrats.

Because on the flip side of this the democrats will block any investigation into their campaigns.

Or they could change the rules that a tie means an investigation goes forward but neither side want that. Basically the problem is everything isn’t broken, it’s working as intended.

Think about how much information (complicit and criminal) was deleted by all the 'official Trump government' agencies when those agencies authorized the deletion of text messages recorded on official government supplied smart phones.

Then tell us all how there was no active conspiracy afoot on January 6, 2021.

I’m not sure if conspiracy is the right word for it. It’s all done so blatantly with middle fingers raised to the public.

C) Although it’s not a protest vote. It’s this crazy idea that my vote should be for the best candidate. Not a fear induced old man shoved down my throat by corporate interests.

Nice multiple choice though, great way to bring up those voting numbers among those who feel disenfranchised. And a great example of why the Democrats and Republicans both don’t deserve my vote.

If you teach them you’ll eat shit they have no incentive to feed you anything but shit.

I wrestled for 10 years. This has proven in a few fights I’ve gotten into to be more than enough to take care of myself. People go into a street fight thinking it’s going to be punching, but I take it to the ground and wrap them up. Ended a few half choking someone out till they calmed down.

Fighting is never my first option, got cornered a few times by aggressive drunks and a neighbor who was trying to break in when his girlfriend was hiding inside while the cops were coming. All my fights were against bigger people.

I enjoy it in roleplay and fantasy, but not really in real life. In the right mindset it’s a dominant power move for Dom/Sub play but not something I normally would do IRL.

My partner is into tittyfucking, and I cum into her breasts. When cumming I press her tits around my cock and end up with a sticky puddle. I enjoy cleaning her off afterward, and she likes that aftercare as well. And often it leads to more breast play which can lead to some Nice continuance of the session.

Bush's Homeland Security and increased presidential war powers did not need a constitutional amendment to inhibit democracy and personal liberty.

No, it doesn't take a Constitutional Amendment.

Expanded war powers are not reshaping democratic processes.

And what Bush authorized for surveillance on US citizens pales in comparison to authorized data gathering from tech companies years after he left office.

What are you worried about? That Trump is going to gather huge dossiers on US citizens locations, web site searches, purchases, and communications without warrants? Too late, Congress and the courts have backed this for more than a decade publicly. There are no constitutional powers if a sitting president or a simple congressional majority that can alter voting rights. You’re comparing shit covered apples and shit covered oranges.

I don’t think the Trump 2028 ticket is very likely. He will be 82, he’s already obese as hell and won’t follow the instructions of his doctors. The chances of him being physically able to run ain’t great.

Might be a Trump Jr. run though. The Trumps are quickly becoming the Kennedies of the Republicans. American royalty.

Al Gore didn't lose.

The GOP stacked SCOTUS of that particular year - stopped the counting and declared Bush the winner.

And Gore didn't attempt an insurrection to hold onto power.

Come'on Mr Progressive Revisionist...your fibs are transparent.

No, he lost. Don’t go to the election denial convention with the Trump loyalists.

Our country is stacked to give small states outsized influence, be it senate where Wyoming has about 130x more representation than California or in the ‘all or nothing’ electorate system. And by that system Gore lost, no question.

The electoral college is precisely the reason the GOP can back back unpopular candidates, their votes are weighted heavily. And because the GOP has bad candidates the Democrats run on a platform of ‘not being that guy’ and put up their favorite corporate shill and lifetime rich men. Obama won by huge margins because that’s what happens when you choose a candidate people give a damn about.

So, wake up. Gore lost. Get over it or accept the Trump election denialists as your brothers in cognitive dissonance.

Evil is in the eye of the beholder. Like the millions excessively punished and used as slave labor from Biden’s 94’ crime bill.

Or ask those in Gaza if Biden is evil as he tirelessly fights to send bombs to the Israelis so they can continue raining death on civilians.

Both are evil, Trump is just honest about it.

And the threats to Trump ending democracy… well it’s trashed and barely qualifies as democracy to begin with (adding the approval rating of both presidential candidates together gives you about 70%, obviously a system that doesn’t give actually care about what the people want). And what of his claims? He’ll need to pass it by Congress with a 66% voting for any major constitutional changes as well as 2/3’s state governors voting for it as well. That ain’t happening so the ‘Trump will end Democracy’ thing is nothing but a Democrat fund raising tool.

Ultimately maybe the Democrats need to give voters something to believe in, Instead their only pitch is, ‘not trump.’ Just like Al Gore lost with his, ‘Not Bush’ campaign.

If the president has 30% approval ratings don’t put him up for reelection. You cannot win this way.

Ah yes, it was the democrats who ushered in the anti abortion legislation. You're a real genius.

You are like the republicans who run cover for corporations by endlessly crying inflation and how it's the democrats fault.

So stupid..

If the democrats had half the gumption for reproductive rights as they did for sucking the same corporate cocks the republicans did then abortion access would have been codified decades ago.

Biden’s record on corporate kickbacks, environmental issues, and healthcare is somehow worse than Trumps.

Probably because he’s been functionally further right wing than many Republicans. Remember the 94’ crime bill? The attempt to ‘beat the republicans on their own turf? And now he’s ready to go after immigrants. This has been Biden’s constant issue in his career, his ‘playing to the middle’ gets him no support from Republicans and disenfranchises the leftist base. Then they wonder why no one is coming out to vote for him.

Biden is an existentially terrible candidate. Just as bad as Trump functionally on all the issues I care about. The Democrats only fight for us when a a Republican is president. So get fighting.

Hey, what party held both sides of congress and presidency when women lost their national abortion access again?

The opposition to Trump has been infinitely more productive than the acceptance of Biden.

He is old, he does keep making dumb gaffes. But that’s like 50 items down on the list as to why he’s a terrible president.

And congrats to the Democrats for ushering in the second Trump presidency. It couldn’t have happened without them.

Wendy’s chili is a meatless mix that’s a ‘just add water and heat’ deal. They pre-cook burgers for service and put them in a warmer. Leftover burgers are chopped and added to the chili

Honestly it’s efficient and ain’t a bad chili at all for the price. That being said I have not had it in years so my info may be old.

Where else in the world does this kind of shit occur on a frequent basis? A M E R I C A leads by a fair margin.

It’s not the first time a Christian boarding school in Missouri has come under fire for alleged bad behavior. In the past several years, there have been investigations into the “Circle of Hope Girls’ Ranch and Boarding School” and Agape Boarding School in the same state.

A lot of this happens because religious boarding schools in Missouri are largely unregulated, relying on their religious label to win the trust of unsuspecting families. These facilities assure parents their troublesome teenagers will receive a much-needed, faith-based rehabilitation if they simply hand over custody and pay a hefty fee. Instead of making things better, though, the Christian ranches often become a hotbed of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse that leave the kids far worse off than when they entered.

Religious boarding schools…

I can go into this for hours of the retched history of these colonial tools in the US. There’s a long history of child trafficking and abuse in these things, but it all really starts with their government funded inception to erase the indigenous cultures in America’s cultural genocide of the indigenous people.

The whole concept of ‘kill the Indian, save the man’ made it illegal not to send your indigenous children to these places. Children were not allowed to stay with their parents and learn of their families practices. Instead they were sent to packed boarding schools that taught them whiteness and beat the indigenous teachings out of them. This went on in full swing up until the 1970’s. There are survivors today who deal with the ramifications of the abuse. I read one particularly horrific story of a nun hitting a seven year old so hard she snapped his neck. The students had to carry on through the meal, stepping over his body.

Children were sold off and never returned to their homes frequently. Tens of thousands of children went missing and were never seen again. And when all the information came out practically no charges or official investigations were done. With plenty of clergy alive who had participated in and covered up the abuses, the government never filed charges. In fact they were frequently inspected by the government who were more interested in stamping out the cultures of the children than their safety.

Religious boarding schools were and are hotbeds of child abuse.

My eight year old wanted to race last week. Absolutely wiped the floor with him. Dad don’t go easy.

Do you enjoy an occasional petty win?

I got that but it was tied to some sort of group message (which I didn’t even know you could do) that seemed to be an advertising spam bot. I deleted that message and it cleared everything out.

Similar expressions are used here in the Netherlands, only here football refers to actual football, the game where the ball is an actual ball and is played with one's foot.

Is that the one where you grab your shin and roll around till the stripy gentlemen tells everyone else to stop being mean?

No, really full of propaganda and useless shit. George Washington’s campaign cherry tree story and mathematical proofs are equally useless in my day to day life.

But lord knows they never showed us how to file your taxes.
