In fact I would call it downright childish to claim that the same argument used to defend civil rights activists during the darkest and most oppressive times is also used to defend the wholesale murder of tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
Also saying ‘violence is not the answer’ is incredibly easy to say when it’s not your family being starved to death or shot in the street. The practice of non-violence is only effective if violence has a repercussion.
For better or worse, the attacks in Israel drew eyes to the violence of the Israeli people on the Palenstians. It’s kicked up awareness and support worldwide and actually created a rift in America’s blind militaristic support of Israel.

Because groups that track this sort of thing have found an explosion of racist tweets and white nationalists twitter accounts since Musk changed the community guidelines and filtering process. This article is a year old and it’s gotten much worse since then. It’s also what most of the advertisers who abandoned the platform cite as the reason.
Their inaction to stop the growth of hate speech on their platform is a tacit approval of the content, or at the very least acceptance. If Musk as a private businessman is more concerned with appealing to Nazis than Disney he can accept the loss of revenue.

The White House and corporate America have it in for Musk, not because of his ill-advised (to say the least) tweet, but because they disapprove of Twitter’s free speech orientation. They want more moderation; specifically, they and anti-establishment voices stilled.
Quite the opposite for corporate America. They aren’t anti-free speech here. They are practicing theirs. There’s this alt right idea that free speech and consequence free speech are the same thing, even though the latter limits the former.
They don’t want to invest advertising in a platform that promotes racism and antisemitism. Because consumers don’t want to buy from a company that invests in racist owned companies, this is actually one of the few ways the market is actually free. People use their buying power to punish a racist.

I’ve seen plenty of people on this thread who are still taken in by the lies and misinformation used to downplay the climate chaos that we are experiencing.
I’m preparing an older story I have already published here for another project. In doing so I found a lot of places to improve it. It’s certainly not a completely new story but it’s much better in style and clarity.
If I wanted the new version on the site, would I delete the old story and publish the new as opposed to simply editing the older version?

I think your wording is a little understated. It’s like saying a human has an advantage over an ant in a fight. This is inherently how the rich own the country. The rich own the media outlets and finance the campaigns. They can simply ice out any undesirable players.
