Closest I got was regretting giving the business to the store itself. Paid for an unhoused neighbor’s meal at this McDonalds in LA. Guy was asking people in line if they could buy him some food, I had the spare money so I did. McDonald’s manager came out and started yelling at the guy while he was quietly waiting for the food to come out. Manager was just being a hateful prick, I actually had to argue that they needed to give him the food that had been paid for. Never ate there again, but was sorry I gave that I even gave them money to start out with.
