I've donned tuxes a couple times (my wedding and my friend's). But those were rentals. Designer or fancy clothing isn't my thing.
Do you like "dressing up"?

Congratulations on both 100 followers & almost 25,000 views on your stories in less than 3 months. Awesome effort. I will have to take a moment or two to read said stories. For me, I haven't written anything the last few months. It's been a bit busy with work. I have a couple stories, a few micro's & many more co-authored stories/micros. My figures are all over the place. If I just count the stories/micro's that I wrote myself then I've managed a mere 35,800 views in over 4 years. So your nearly 25,000 in less than 3 months is a wonderful achievement. My Followers number has been up & down lately; moving between 420 & 430.
I've managed to read all of the Advent Story Comp Entries. A great bunch of stories. I feel for the judges this time round. Good Luck to all who entered a story. Well done to you all.
Thanks for the tunes, Fuzzy. You never miss a beat. I always enjoy your tuunnneeeeeeeeeeeeees.
I think I will enjoy one of Da Bear's buttercream cuppycakes. Thanks Da Bear. I've missed your special treats. Can I please have a Hot Chocolate, to go? It's just ticked over midnight here. I best be making tracks & visit the land of dreams.
Hope to catch you all later. Until then Stay Safe & Have Fun. xx
Hi there, stranger. Nice to see you.
Sara kind of vanished from both here and StoriesSpace a while ago and I have not heard anything from or about her either. We miss her.
Rump lurks and did pop in to say hi once.

It seems like are certain categories - I/F stories being one of them
Yeah, my most read story is my lone contribution to that category. No shock there. As a longtimer, I know the popularity of that category. Not sure if I picked up many followers that way, though. I have 192 follows per my profile but I don't watch my profile that closely so wouldn't have noticed if I picked up a lot when that story came out.
My answer, based on my understanding from a dozen-ish years here, is that there is no hierarchy beyond the one example you cite and a couple lesser ones:
Poems are, I believe, supposed to be in one of the poetry categories. Tags can be used to identify other relevant categories.
And I believe, but am not 100% certain, micros have to be in micro. It is the only category that allows stories that short. Again, tags are your friend.
But as far as categories based on content rather than form, no other "polarizing categories" exist other than IF as far as the rules as I understand them. They may be polarizing for readers but that's something you as an author need to take account of in how you categorize and tag things. There's no hard rules on them. You can have a story in Straight Sex that is tagged "Watersports" or a story in Supernatural that is tagged "Tentacles". Not that I would recommend it. If the story has enough watersports to tag it, it probably has enough to categorize it so those with that kink can find it easily. Ditto tentacles.
Obviously, stories in the "Watersports" category must have watersports in them, but there's no rule that says you can't have watersports in stories in other categories, just tag for it. The usual advice is to pick the category that both fits the story well and highlights an aspect that is likely to draw in readers, then tag for everything else.
IF is a special case because of the option in the settings to turn it off. No other category has that.
Interested in hearing a current mod take on this, though.
I'll bet that red velvet cake goes well with Yorkshire Gold tea, too. So I'll have one of each.
Weekly cleaning is done so I am enjoying a tea. No football around my world. Never been a fan even growing up with it on the TV constantly due to Dad and other family members watching both CFL and NFL.
Here's the band I am currently obsessing over. Very talented young ladies from Argentina. I am quite sure my obsession has nothing to do with a crush on Martina (the bassist. She's on the right in the video and is the one in the cover image). Really.

Small world. I spent a good chunk of my career in the PM space. Now I straddle that and digital product management.
Before I became a project manager, I was developer (20-30 years ago). I will always be a bit of a tech nerd and am fascinated by emerging technologies. My company doesn’t pay for any “technical” AI training, so I just do on my own.
I manage the IT department for a small-ish corporation involved in home health care. Was their first IT person (before me, they were supported by our parent company) and built the department from one (me) to eight, 4 doing support and infrastructure, 3 doing development and customization of corporate systems, and then me. So project management is but one corner of my work, though it's going to become a big corner of it for the next couple years. After which I will probably retire.

I’m so jealous! My cat Butters would never let me sleep anywhere close to 10am.
I went through that with our family cat back in the day. Once I hit university, I started working in the summer so didn't go the cottage with the family. They took the dog with them and left me the cat. And, yeah, she kind of became my fuzzy alarm clock if I forgot to close the basement door (which is what we usually did to keep her downstairs at night). I was a morning person even back then but, yeah, she was even more of a morning cat.
