Sigh. I didn't date in high school. Not a long story but too depressing for a game thread.
HYE known someone who didn't start dating or having sex until grad school?

And the ape is in! Fire is my element (as I already suggested before) so come on in and get ... warmed up. π

Alone in the woods, Lydia discovers the true heat of passion
SupernaturalMy comp entry is queued. Now I have to figure out what comes next. Back to my novella (or whatever it ends up being)? Or the slight start of an idea I have been futzing around with since before the comp announcement? No idea. I am stuck on a ship for 8-9 days out of the next 21 so I have the time. Just need to decide what to write with that time.
Good morning. How's life? I had the leg cramp from hell last night. Most painful I have had in a long time and no easy way to stretch it out. Had to ride it out mostly. So I will take a strong cup of Yorkshire Tea (leave the bag in).
Comp entry is probably ready but I am in that mode where I keep tinkering for no reason. It's like I look at two sentences and today my brain thinks that this one should go first even it read just fine going second yesterday. And then I go, oh with the number of changes I have made, I have to do another pass later before I submit it. Even though the next pass will be more idle tinkering.π

How's this?

Oh, I loves me some Alestorm. They more fun metal than serious heavy metal but I love that myself.

I hear Trump wants one in DC. π
When we were in Paris, I wasn't feeling well one day so Mrs. Ape and Ape, Jr. rented bikes and rode along the Champs Elysee while I prowled Musee d'Orsay (I'm a big fan of impressionism and post-impressionism).
More Alestorm, this time joined by German gurdyist and singer Patty Gurdy. She's toured with them on occasion, too.
How about some Asian Folk Metal to rock your weekend? The subject is famous Asian pirate queen, so I suppose this falls in with the pirate metal subgenre to some degree, too.
The woman in the hat playing a liuqin (basically a Chinese mandolin) is Taiwanese musician NiNi. The long-haired growler (and a very impressive one, I must say) with the electric guitar is Ryoji Shinomoto of Japanese heavy metal band Ryujin. Nini used to mostly do Asian covers of Western rock and metal but has been putting out some good originals of late.

I had one started and decided halfway through to switch to a different element. Now I'm halfway done with the new story and I'm trying to talk myself out of going back to the first story. Ackkk! LOL.
Been there, done that. Usually I end up finishing both, putting one in the comp and releasing the other after it's over. Hasn't happened here in a while but I am pretty sure I did that in a recent comp on SS.
