They primarily involve the relationships and issues of four young adults (older teens), the main female character, Brandi, her friend Nicole and their two boyfriends. It is hetero non-normative and the girls love their boyfriends, but due to circumstances become entangled in a physical relationship with each other as well.

I have to answer this because I had no idea how involved I might be with my characters or if I would feel anything whatsoever. I started writing to see if I had any feeling or connection to the characters that I was creating. If I couldn't connect with them then I would not have had enough interest or motivation to continue writing. I became very involved with them in a strangely profound way, while I put myself in their situations as I wrote their story. I was also writing about subjects that I relate to very strongly. It began feeling like they were real, living their lives and I was just telling their stories for them - especially my main character. I wanted to bring them to life as much as possible and that motivated me to write and publish a full 3 book series (A Distant Shore series by TS Higgins, Amazon).
