As I get older, there is more and more 'young stuff'. How can I not continue to be interested?

Quote by amy221
Happy Easter to all. I'll join the toasting with a good Single Malt Scotch, neat of course. I'll pass on the beer, any brand. Once had a guy tell me that if something looks like horse piss and smells like horse piss, he ain't about to taste it. So that seemed liked smart advice, and I've always stuck with Scotch, reckon it's helped keep me alive.

Say, can anyone in here explain to a computer moron like me, how the hell I can link my competition story, The Roadhouse, to my signature or even to my profile page. Could be my eyes aren't good enough, but it sure feels like stupid to me.bUGrIkKlltKrnoB5

Thanks much, nice place you got here.

Try the following code. Copy and paste it into your forum signature, (Mini-Avatar drop-down Menu > Settings > More Options > Edit Forum Signature). This should give you a signature block on the forums the same as you currently have but with 'The Roadhouse' in blue and clickable. (You should be able to adjust the code to make the signature say anything you want.)
amy, the briefly Notorious, requests without threats of damnation, that you go read and comment on my contest entry. 'The Roadhouse', please with kisses.
Hey T.E. What happened to Dos Equis Ambre ? ?
Keep going further north.
Colorado has 10% of the Boutique Breweries in the USA but only 2% of the population.
Oh! Do I love a good I.P.A.

Re Dos Equis Amber: After getting shipped off to Mars, I didn't want the reminder.

Re: Colorado Boutique Breweries: I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Colorado beer, and I'm certainly not questioning your taste,
but personally at least, when I'm on a Rocky Mountain High, I have sort of a 'don't give a shit' attitude about what I'm drinking.

Whether or not you like a certain beer, or beer at all, is really a matter of taste. I have tried most of the beers pictured above and
I prefer the ones that are free or pay me to drink them. I might even drink a certain tequila if I was getting paid enough.

... they make vodka out of whales? kind of disturbing.

What, they have whales in Siberia?

Thank you, Carl, let me share this with you ...

That sounds so naughty. Can I watch?

Would have been fine with me but it looks like NaughtyAnnie got someone else. Did you get to watch?

... Blue Moon with a slice of orange ...

Would also like try a bottle of that Blue Moon, if there is any left.

... Has everyone seen the drone pictures over the Cathedral Notre Dame today? ...

NO! Do you have links to them?
I think today it might be appropriate to drink a French wine of some sort. I'm going to do a whole bottle and anyone who would like some is welcome to share - at least for as long as it lasts - but then, maybe we could open a second bottle. I would like to start with a red from the hospital in Beaune - I believe it's formal name is 'Hospice du Beaune'. It's generally very good and reasonably priced - unlike it's neighbor 'Romini Conti'. (I have suspected some times that what I am getting was contributed to the hospital by the aforesaid famous vinyard. Anyway, I'm willing to gamble.

... If I was smarter at IT I'd have worked out how to shrink it, but I'm hopeless at tech stuff. I only managed to create the meme because I found a meme maker that did it for me! ...

Give me a link to it and I'll make it any size you want.

Not written as a tribute to the greatness of Notre Dame, but seems fitting nevertheless.
Thank you, Carl, for the live news coverage about the Notre Dame cathedral. One of my favorite books and tv mini-series is about the building of such cathedrals around 1200. To have survived two world wars and all of the other devastation wrought on Paris through the centuries, and now to be destroyed - a terrible loss to all of mankind, past, present and future!

... Trace a couple of thoughts you might like
First ... there is no shortage of Buffalo Trace, one just needs my lock combination to my footlocker in the storage room.
Second ... yes friends try to read other Room regulars during a competition and this one being more of a "popularity contest" some here get a wee bit haughty reading that you have no time to read their favourites entry.
I say that is why God allowed us Irish the gift of whiskey to get though the day ...

Understood. I will make time for some reading.

When I said the Rumpsters I was referring to the regulars of this Bar. Folks who are part of Bill's/Rump's crew who gather here often. Lots of us do take part in the competitions. And we read and spend time on each others stories as well. So that was a simple suggestion for the folks you might read in the contest.

Cheer's, Trace.

Sorry - completely misread that. Thanks for getting me straightened out. I will take your advice - actually started to read entries made by the
"Rumpsters". I haven't gotten to yours yet, but I will! Thanks again and Carl, if you're still around, get this man another drink.

I do have things I need to get done tonight so I'm going to have to clear my tab and cut out. Bye all and thanks for everything!
Quote by Green_Man
... You might try to check out some of the Rumpsters entries ...

Thanks for the advice. I did look through his story list and found several I'd like to read - did read one of them.
However, I found no entry for the current competition. Am I missing something?

Carl, I was kinda wondering, you got anymore of that Buffalo Trace stuff. If you do, I might be talked into having
a little sip of it. And would you please get the Green_Man whatever he's drinking, on my tab. He's helping me.

BTW peeps, I did submit one of the stories I've been working on. It is a 'Flash' piece, but alas, not a comp entry.
Back as threatened. Morning Ape and Curvy and good morning again to Carl and Angela.

I know I'm missing out on some good stuff but I still haven't read any of the comp entries. Can't seem to find enough time for my own writing.
But if there's five or six that I definitely should read and vote on, please let me know. I will make the time.

I've got three stories of my own in the works, 2 Flash, (but not comp entries), and 1 that will probably go into the 'Teen' category. All are in the edit stage. Hopefully I'll get at least one of them submitted this weekend.

Sure am missing Rump today. He really does a fantastic job of keeping this place going. Thank you, Carl, for taking over.
And yes, Carl, I will have another coffee, with a splash of that Irish stuff you usually have around.

And hi to you too, LYF - didn't see you sitting there.
A good morning to Carl and the sensuous one - don't know what to call you, we never met. Appreciate the goodies from both of you. And congrats Carl on your Royals finally coming through. Got to run down the street for some fast-food type breakfast. Be back in an hour or two.

* downs coffee and hoof it out the door *
Stopped in for a BB to start the weekend but guess I'll have to get it myself.

* Scrapes sludge out of BB and saves it to trade Carl for some of his Jameson's *

Hopefully it won't be long now...
Sunday afternoon and once again you could shoot a gun in here and not hit anyone. Still seems like a good place to nurse my Saturday night hangover.

Yes, I did go someplace else last night - missed what I heard was one hell of a party.

I guess I'll have a tequila. Doesn't sound like the right way to treat a hangover but it does pay the bills these days. (Sure was a lot better for the hangover
to have a bloody beer, but the beer company doesn't think I'm 'interesting' anymore.)

Morning Tonya, Curvy, Carl.
I'm behaving today, so please, no more of that Buffalo stuff - wow, that was good, thanks Carl.
Let me have a cup of BB's finest, straight up if you please.

Greetings and a most sincere hope (honest) that y'all had a great Hump Day. Chronologically speaking, this is about the only time when no one in Lush Land is enduring a morning. That means, of course, that it's a great time for taking advantage of today's One-for-the-Price-of-Two drink special. What sort of deal Carl may cut you on that Buffalo Trace fluid he and Trace are ingesting is another matter. ;) ...

Not sure what Carl's expecting in return, but I would guess, One-for-the-Price-of-Ten. Still a hell of a deal!

... Just a reminder that pimping and re-pimping is not only permitted, it is encouraged here at Rumplations, right along with drunken debauchery and disgustingly depraved degeneracy (the very best kind). ;). ...

Rump wants pimping? That I can do!

It's not a comp entry but it is flash.
Quote by fuzzy1954
... Buffalo Trace should never be with ice or adds IMO I love it with a water back (even with out ice)
Just me Trace .......

Agreed, strictly sippin' stuff. Even the water back seems like a sin.
Quote by fuzzy1954

Trace I can't think of a better person to enjoy the first couple of inches from this virgin bottle of Buffalo Trace ...

Wow! That stuff is great. I was going to put some coffee (Big Bertha type) with it but I think it'd be a shame to put anything with it, 'cept maybe an ice-cube or two and I'm not even sure about that. Thank you so much for letting me try it.
Quote by fuzzy1954
... Who else is game to enjoy a fine batch of Buffalo Trace tonight??

I could probably be talked into some of that!
Thanks to Sprite, my first attempt at 'Flash' has been published. Next time Sprite shows up, Rump, her drinks are on me. (However, please do make sure before serving her that she's not concealing any whips or chains. )

Dropping two dozen of McDonald's newest sandwich the McPickle
On my way to pick up my weekly stock of Jameson
sorry Trace we ran out but enjoy a yummy McPickle sandwich
There just something very special on this day

Wow, just in time with the sandwiches. I was about ready to leave. Thank you so much!
On the Jamesons - you probably ran out because I was drinking so much of it. I could
maybe repay you with a few cases of Dos Equis, (I got a whole truckload as a termination bonus).

I sure hope all that stuff about the Jameson and the McPickle sandwich weren't just April Fool's jokes.
