Yes, I will be köffeeing, Phil, and thanks for the cuppa.
Congrats to all the EP winners, both Rumpers and non.
Dusting off an old horror story to send out. I sold it once to a mag who folded shortly thereafter, and never sent it out again. I wrote it while my Dad was undergoing a triple bpass and I was spending a lot of time in hospital waiting rooms - it's easily the bloodiest thing I've ever written. Pretty relentless too.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone.
I liked the episode quite a bit.
I am not really over-analyzing any of it, and while I agree they seem to be greatly rushing the story line here at the end, they are giving us the equivalent of 4 feature length movies to tie everything up (as well as a regular hour long episode right before the battle). So it's hard to complain that they are are hurrying - it's 6 hours of story.
I agree with you Ping, that the Winter they've been building up to for 8 years should have lasted longer than one episode.
IT was pretty easy to see the Dany=Mad Queen coming, but what I loved about this episode is that they really did the terror she caused justice. I was shocked that Dany lit up the place after the bells had sounded. It was a long, harrowing sequence where she burns Kings Landing, and you see the heartbreak close up and personal (when Arya tries to help the mother and child and then sees them dead was hard to watch).
I enjoyed the way they ended the Cersei/Jamie storyline. I have read complaints that Cersei is too passive, but what is she gonna do? She's played all her cards. She has nothing left. And the only thing that made her seem human and compassionate was her love for Jamie. It was fitting they died in each other's arms.
So yeah, they are fucking up the landing a little, but the show has been so good for so long I am willing to cut them a little slack. That said, tying ALL OF THIS up with just one final episode seems nearly impossible.
Sorry, I'm no sunshine girl. It's just me, Verbal.
Thanks for the set-up, Carl.
Not much to say, still trying to wake up, as is my youngest daughter, who is clearly gonna be late for school if she doesn't hustle.
Köffee please!
Pizza flavored goldfish (the cracker, not a real one).
Broken air conditioning. I have two teenage daughters incapable of living without hot water.
Memory or fantasy?
I'd join Adagio for a cup of coffee. We could sit and talk about weird but cool words.
Blueberry muffins! Thanks Fuzzy!
And thanks for the set-up, Cyn the Unquenchable.
Not much going on here. Cold and raining. Busy work day. Half day of school, so the kids are watching The Simpsons in the next room.
Coffee would be perfect!
Almost always from desktop or iPad at home. If I am really bored I will check it on my phone, but my kids are always using my phone, so I always have to erase my history and it's a hassle and I am lazy.
Roller coaster! Love them!
Fried Snickers or Fried Twinkie?
Congrats Laura! What a perfect choice. I'd try to type in a NZ accent, but have no idea how. Perhaps you can give me lessons. ;)
Congrats again.
I will preface this by saying everything is fine now, but...I was in the ER with my Dad all day yesterday. Long, harrowing day. He's home now and doing relatively well.
Playing catch-up all day today. Pretty frikkin exhausted.
Thanks to everyone who has read Purr and commented. A lot of work and TLC went into that story.
Köffee please.
I love teasing. Like Bria above me (hi Bria!), the word itself turns me on. From sending hot texts throughout the day to flirting over a dinner table to foreplay and beyond. It should be a story category.
