Are you pregnant?

If I tell you, will you share a finger?

I’m still waiting for my drink. Barkeep is probably trippin’ again. That marshmallow dust is potent.

Here's a finger. Guess which one it is? Now TELL me!

Baseball season starts in 90 minutes. My Dad has a dental appt. at 12:30, I just called them and told them he's "sick" but should feel better by 3:45 (when the game's over!). Lets' go Mets! Best pitching match-up in baseball today: deGrom vs. Sherzer. I think the Nats (whom we are playing) is the fave team of our recently appointed Awesomeness, Elizabeth Black. Elizabeth, you come in here, I'd love to but you a drink. We'll watch the game togather.

Baseball triva: the Mets have a better record on Opening Days than any other team in baseball: 37-20.

Good luck with those Royals, Carl. Sara, are you a D-Backs fan?

Köffee please. Let's get that old black-and-white TV in the corner all fired up.

I have a theory that if someone likes bluegrass (you do) then they will also like orchestral music. Don’t call it classical music because classical is a period, just like baroque. smile

The first time I heard live, Pachelbel’s Canon in D, I had tears. The concert was held in an old church with amazing acoustics and a huge pipe organ. We could hear a pin drop. And then the beggars surprised the audience with the piece. One of my favorite life memories.

Have a good day everyone!

So I'll bite - why do you think bluegrass lovers also like orchestral music? The strings? The fact it's acoustic? I know very little about classical music. Just the big names.

Anyway, I'm pretty psyched. It's cool everyone loves Gershwin here. What a great bar!

Two fingers of bourbon, beer back.

I'll put this on the juke. Man, that opening clarinet slur just knocks me out.

and yet you still turned me down.

Wait, you were proposing marriage? I though you were proposing something else entirely!
How cool! One of my favorite people here! I remember first encountering her stories, and what a breath of fresh air they were. Understated and nuanced and filled with real people, doing real things. I was happy to see she'd become a mod, and am overjoyed to see her grab Mod of the month.

Yay Jai!
She really is incredibly supportive. When I first started writing flash it was a bit of a hard sell, and I was losing faith, and she was such a storg supporter of my writing at a time when I really needed it. Clearly, everyone has had a similar experience with her. So helpful and thoughtful and always ready with a kind word.

Well deserved, Elizabeth! Godzilla approves!

Thanks for providing our sludgy pitch-black coffee-like substance, Carl.

Glad to see you are gonna chill for awhile, Tonya. You deserve it.

Milik, the story by you and Principessa was excellent. I look forward to more.

Not much happening here. Spring break, so no school. I got tix to see a night of Gershwin performed by the symphony here. I'm pretty sure I've never seen an actual live symphony perform before. I'm psyched. Anybody here like Gershwin?

Köffee please, Bill.
Sunny and warm, and just a beautiful day all around. smile

If he's kind, with a dirty side, well so am I and we can explore these things in dirty play.

That's well put (and I think describes me pretty well too).

Everyone seems to be in agreement here, which is cool. If the woman is not in to it, regardless of the act, then it's demeaning. If she likes it and it's seen as part of good, hot, dirty fun by both of you, no one is being degraded.

I like em. But I, mean, we're talking about cumming, so I'm already gonna be pretty psyched. Where I cum is not exactly a deal-breaker. smile

Sorry for barging into an Ask the Gals question. I noticed halfway through.
I am not fond of mornings either, Trace. You have my sympathies.

Fun party last night. Never been at a girl's night out before. Got a little scared when sprite found the power tools and the rope, but hey, what a party without the possibility of drunken, bloody mayhem and a slow, painful death by an industrial sander.

Thanks for the set-up, dear Curves. I'd love a cup of köffee.

Everyone is welcome to join my pity party. A girl's night with men welcome as well; my night is looking much better now.

Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. I'll have to change it from a pity party to something more festive. We should have a party every Monday night.

The drinks are on me. Extra cocktail umbrellas and marshmallows for everyone.

I've got the warm and fuzzies now or maybe it's the wine I'm drinking.

Cheers Everyone!

It's too tiring to copy-and-paste all the quotes, but thanks for inviting me. Gill, here's a clutch of umbrellas. Sara, some more marshmallows, in assorted flavors, incuding banana (my favorite)! Susie, I don't know you well enough to know what to offer you, so I'll just offer you a beer. and Curvy, how about a first place win in a comp...OH WAIT, YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE OF THOSE!!! So, a beer for you too.

Okay, I'm settled in, next to Larry. Let's talk about boys!!! And girls too!!! Let's just talk!!!
Quote by curvygalore

With Sara, that makes 4. Sounds like a girls' night in the bar with extra cocktail umbrellas. Woo hoo!

Are men allowed at Girl's Night? I have daughters, and with them the ability to talk about girly things.

Just booked a work conference in June. My boss says it's cool if I bring a guest. ;) And here I thought our anonymous hotel meet-up days were behind us.

Set a bourbon down at the end of the bar as a carrot to get me to 5 o'clock.
Is Lush a dating app? smile. If so, yes. Kind of accidentally, but yes.

Otherwise, no.
Yeah, what Scott said. You don't need to describe any of the motivations to the reader. Just so you know what they are, and are consistent, the reader will usually come along for the ride.

Trust the reader.

I had a Friend ring me after years of not talking
because they were depressed
I was of course confused as to why me
They said it was because all through school even though
I could be aloof and distant I was always kind to them
and back then I always knew when they were sad and could make them smile

I didn't realize I made any sort of positive impact on anyone

This is really cool. I think we often don't realize the impact we have on people.

Corny but true: "You're the only man I've ever wanted to marry." From someone who has been proposed to a number of times. smile
Sorta. When I was younger I was going out with a woman who had kids, and I got seriously chafed during sex. i stopped and told her. She said, "Don't worry, I have some ointment in my purse" and I thought "OH MY GOD I'M DATING MY MOM!!!"

What's the best city for sex in your personal experience?
Don't know him at all, but cool avatar, and he seems nice enough. Let's have a cup.

Our local news people have moved on to opening day at the K. It is this Thursday.
The true start of summer time thoughts. With the the sound of the first crack of the bats. The talk will turn to will our Royals lose less than 100 games?

A Royals fan! I bet you were celebrating the I-80 series back in '85. One of my favorite World Series ever. Of course the next year WAS the best World Series ever.
Good morning all.

It's pretty quiet here. Work looks to be pretty slow today too, though let's not jinx that.

So anybody have any tips for searching threads here? I tried to find the "What are you reading" thread and couldn't. I have that problem a lot looking for an old thread (e.g. my fave thread of all time concerning the swimming pool of cum) (apologies in advance, Hannah). The search engine is not very robust, or I am doing something wrong.

If you haven't checked out AylaJ's recent EP, is a swett, understated, flawlessly written read.

Alyx has a great flash up too. As I told her in my comment, there's a been a renaissance (fuck that's hard to spell) of good flash on Lush lately.

I should have a couple things up (heh) here soon. One's a flash, one's a surprise. smile

Tonya, I expect my kids to pitch in and help with anything that is for the good of the family as a whole. That said, I don't touch dishes or laundry, ever, so they tend to do their bit every day. Of course, I am horrible at laundry, so they have a vested interest. Now STAY OFF YOUR LEGS TODAY, dear Tonya.

Thanks for the set-up Carl. Köffee please.
Prom dress shopping was surprisingly cheap, or maybe I expected it to be so expensive I was relieved it didn't clean me out. I got bored about 2 hours in, and handed the reins to LJ, who frankly kinda had them the whole time anyway. Anyway, they found a truly cool dress, at a bridal shop, of all places (no, not a wedding gown). Yes, I got a little teared up.

Anyway. It's wonderful to have someone to hand the reins to. It's been awhile.

Finished a great book while shopping too. Erabus, about Arctic/Antarctic exploration in the 1800s. I may go ramble on about it in the books thread now.

Congrats on thr reading Larry. Sounds like fun. Scott, congrats on your son's birthday. We are beginning the whole milestone birthday march ourselves: 16, 18, 20, 21.

Beer me please, barkeep.
This story really soared--I think I even reached out to tell you at the time because I was so quietly moved by it when I read it. Very nice to see it officislly recognised. Congrats, Ayla. You deserve this.

I am sitting in my favourite coffee shop, happy that lush isn't banished from their WiFi like it is with Starbucks now.

I am also happy because today my writing came up in conversation at the bookshop
and I was asked a lot of questions and by the end of the conversation they had already told me
They would set up signings and carry my stuff once I was actually published.

I am also happy that it's been raining all day

That's too cool, Vanessa!

I am convinced Ariana Grande is playing in every clothing store in every shopping mall in America.

I am also convinced that shopping with teenage girls is more exhausting than running a 10K marathon.

Also, I wanted to show Jeff some porcelain pieces. I think he might enjoy them in his dining room.

OMG I ALREADY OWN THESE!!! So cool you posted a pic, and thought of me.

Don't say those ladies are out of your league. LJ is WAY out of my league, and I got her.

Happy birthday Annie, happy birthday to your friend, LucyAnn (fetching avatar, btw).

Youngest is sick too. Looks like I might have a weekend taking care of everyone. Oh well. Part of the job description.

MORE COFFEE! Please.
